Celebrating proud moments at Kingfisher View’s red carpet awards

The team at Kingfisher View went all out to celebrate the achievements of the people they support - hosting a glamorous red carpet awards night!

Everyone got dressed up in red, black, and gold for the occasion.

The staff planned everything as a surprise, decorating the home with balloon arches, table settings, and name places, and treating everyone to a four-course meal.

Awards were given to recognise each person’s achievements over the past year.

Jo and Christine, who joined Kingfisher View this year after 15 years in hospital, were celebrated for successfully moving into their own flat together.

Ange received an award for keeping the tidiest flat, something she’s very proud of - and gave a heartfelt speech thanking the staff for treating her “like family.”

One relative described the night as “the nicest thing that’s ever been done for my son while he’s been in care.” She was emotional to see him so happy and confident - especially when he joined in on the karaoke, something she never thought he’d do.

After the awards, everyone partied the night away with karaoke and live music - a real celebration of progress and pride.
