Residents at Evermore Care Homes enjoy creative autumn leaf art activities

Residents at Astley View Care Home have been making the most of the autumn sunshine with a seasonal art project that began with a walk outdoors and ended in a burst of creativity.

After collecting colourful leaves during a morning stroll, residents spent the afternoon turning their finds into beautiful collages and animal designs. The activity was as much about connection as creativity – a relaxed and social afternoon filled with conversation, laughter and plenty of cups of tea.

One resident even came up with an inventive way to make the glue dry faster, using a table tennis bat to gently fan their masterpiece – much to everyone’s amusement.

The session was part of Evermore’s approach to meaningful living, where daily life is enriched by activities that reflect the seasons and bring people together through shared experiences.

Christina Durnan, Home Manager said: “Our teams always look for ways to make the most of what’s around us. Simple, creative activities like build friendships and bring a real sense of joy to everyday life.”

As the seasons change, Astley View Care Home continues to embrace opportunities for residents to enjoy new experiences, stay active and celebrate the world around them.
