In order to support ex-servicemen and women in the local community, Barchester’s Cookridge Court Care Home in Leeds hosted a veterans’ drop-in coffee morning on Wednesday 29th of October.

The veterans’ drop-in was open for all veterans to come along and meet other ex-servicemen and women, along with veteran support agencies and charities. It was a chance to make friends, meet people who perhaps have similar experiences and challenges, and find out how to get help, advice and support. The home plans to have another veteran’s event in the future.

Deputy Manager, Vicki Foster, comments: “We are only too happy to welcome ex-servicemen and women and their families from our local community to Cookridge Court in order to support them. We hope our attendees enjoyed our event today. Special thanks to representatives from Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion and the Lord Mayor of Leeds for their attendance.”

Cookridge Court is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Cookridge Court provides residential, dementia and respite care.
