Cherished Resident Celebrates Centurion Birthday in Style

Celebrations have been in full swing at Braeburn Lodge, as one of its residents reached her centenary in style.

Joan Login was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by loved ones, as guests enjoyed a beautiful birthday cake and a Chinese takeaway organised by her son, Patrick.

Joan’s family flew in from abroad to mark the occasion, and Patrick ensured the evening was truly special. He decorated the room with help from staff, including Jade, who was praised for her wonderful work. Patrick shared: “Mum’s birthday party went very well thank you and the room was prepared wonderfully. Our thanks go to everyone concerned especially Jade who did a great job with the decorations.”

Joan enjoyed her celebration with a smile, surrounded by those closest to her. Among those attending was Joan’s son, Patrick, who played host for the evening. Speaking about his centenarian mother, he said:

“Joan is and has been a fantastic mother and friend to so many over the past hundred years, and it’s wonderful to be with her on this very special day to say just how proud she makes us feel.”
