A Lovely Day Out in Hitchin Town Centre

Our residents from Iris Court Care Home recently enjoyed a delightful trip to Hitchin Town Centre on our mini bus. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy some fresh air, local scenery, and a bit of shopping!. Our first stop was Boots, where residents picked up a few everyday essentials. Afterwards, we spent some time browsing the local bookshops — a real treat for our book lovers who enjoyed discovering new reads to take back to the home. The outing was filled with laughter, conversation, and plenty of smiles. Everyone appreciated the chance to spend time together outside the home, enjoying a relaxing and social morning in our beautiful local town.

At Iris Court, we believe trips like these are an important part of supporting our residents’ wellbeing — helping to maintain independence, nurture friendships, and stay connected to the wider community.

We’re already planning our next outing and can’t wait to see where the mini bus will take us next!
