Barchester’s Ouse View care home, in Fulford, was a den of ghoulish activity as the home’s spooky Halloween Party got in to full swing.

Residents and staff got in to the spirit of things by throwing a Halloween party for residents, relatives and the local community. Local school children got involved and sent entries into the care homes Halloween Art Competition. The Home received over 40 entries from local school children around York and have gifted prizes to winners picked by residents and members of staff.

General Manager, Rebekka Richardson said: “Our staff and residents love any excuse for a party! We were blown away by the artistic talent from our local school children and I was more than happy to visit Alvie, at Osbaldwick Primary, the winner of the Manager’s Choice Award to present him with his prize, our residents and other members of staff had such a hard time picking winners for each category. We cannot wait to host this competition again next year”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities. Ouse View is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals.
