Maun View Hosts Pink Celebration to Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Maun View Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, proudly joined the nationwide effort to raise awareness of breast cancer by hosting a special Pink Party and Afternoon Tea. The event brought together residents, staff, and families in a warm and supportive atmosphere, honouring those within the Maun View community who have been affected by breast cancer.

Nicola Patchett, Manager of Maun View Care Home, shared the importance of the event: “Breast cancer has affected some of our residents and our staff team. It’s something we will always acknowledge and support. We celebrate the strength of those who have been affected by breast cancer. We are very passionate about supporting charities.”

The afternoon featured pink-themed decorations, refreshments, and fundraising activities, creating a vibrant setting that encouraged conversation, connection, and reflection. Residents and their families expressed their appreciation for the inclusive and heartfelt event.

A family member of one resident commented: “It was a lovely afternoon. We are always made to feel welcome. We come to as many events as possible and we always love it.”

The gathering not only raised awareness but also celebrated resilience and community spirit. The atmosphere was described as “full of smiles”, highlighting the strong bonds between residents, families, and staff.
