Anchor’s Skelton Court care home has launched its ‘Winter Warmer’ initiative, offering a welcoming space for residents and the local community to come together.
Guests will be able to enjoy delicious homemade soup and sandwiches in a warm, friendly atmosphere every Wednesday. Those who attend will also be able to engage in plenty of conversation, strengthening community connections during the colder months.
Skelton Court is encouraging local Armed Forces veterans to come along to the Winter Warmer sessions to connect and share stories. The care home is proud to have recently passed its one-year Veteran Friendly Framework [VFF] review in recognition of its dedication to providing high-quality, person-centred care for members of the Armed Forces community.
Antony Griffiths, Home Manager at Skelton Court care home, said: “We are so pleased to have launched these Winter Warmer sessions. The lunches are all about good food, good company, and ensuring everyone has somewhere warm and welcoming to be. We hope they become a much-loved fixture in our winter calendar here at Skelton Court.”
The Winter Warmer lunches will continue every Wednesday at 12:00pm throughout the colder months. For more information, please contact Skelton Court care home on 01287 651394.
