Anchor's Skelton Court is a luxurious, purpose-built care home. It welcomes new residents. Skelton Court provides residential and residential dementia care for up to 65 older people in a supportive environment, finished to the highest standard and incorporating the latest supportive technology. Skelton Court is close to Saltburn-by-the-Sea and the lovely North East coast.

Skelton Court's impressive facilities include all bedrooms with en suite wet room facilities, a bar area, quiet lounges, a hair and beauty salon and activity areas to be arranged with residents' input. It is surrounded by private landscaped gardens with outdoor seating areas. Some bedrooms benefit from stunning sea views. The home is located in the heart of Skelton-in-Cleveland within a short distance of shops, schools and places to eat and drink.

My mum has been in the home on several occasions for respite care and I have always found the staff to be very friendly and caring.
My mum enjoys her stays and I can feel happy knowing she is well looked after. ]The home itself is beautifully furnished, modern and clean. The only criticism would be
the lovely outdoor area could do with a bit of tender love and care outdoor furniture could do with sprucing up.

From arrival in reception to leaving the staff are so welcoming, and residents are usually busy on activities with the carer. On afternoons they have entertainers coming into the home, as well as monthly tea dances. Music and dance with staff bring these residents back to memories and so much joy you
see in their eyes. I enjoy my weekly visit to Skelton Court very much and feel I'm made welcome as a friend as well as a visitor. Always recommend Skelton Court to family and friends.

My wife came into Skelton Court in 2023/24 for respite. This was an excellent experience for her with first class care and excellent food and accommodation. This enables me to get some well earned rest from being a full time carer. Skelton Court became my second home because it was only 500 metres away
from my home and I could visit her at anytime. I used to have meals with her and spent hours with her.

My wife has been a resident since 3rd August 2023. At the end of May her health deteriorated and was transferred to hospital for a period of six days. My son and I were told by a consultant my wifes life was nearing the end and after consultation she returned to Skelton Court where the staff showed

Home is well maintained and clean. Majority of staff are caring and polite who show genuine caring feelings for the residents. Food is well presented and varied. If there is something that they know my dad is not keen on they will find an alternative option for him. The big downside to his care is the
ridiculous amount we have to pay for his care, when somebody who is not self funded gets the same care for a far lower price being paid for by the local authority i.e £1250 s.fund - £850 LA Funded approx. This year his costs increased by 8% up from £1166 p/w to £1250!! His state pension only increased by 4% ie £10 per month.

The care home is very secure and clean in the main area and residents' rooms. The cleaners are always busy when you visit. Meals look amazing and nutritious, always extra nibbles like cakes, crisps for residents to get if they're still hungry and regular drinks. Background music is nice, staff are amazing,
very caring and pleasant and nothing is too much for them to do.

Dad spent over 12 months at Skelton Court. He settled in very quickly and developed a connection with all the carers very well. He was encouraged to participate in the many activities held on a regular basis, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
He was provided with excellent care, meals and companionship
throughout his stay.
During his final few days, he was treated with the upmost care, courtesy and dignity from everyone involved.

My dad has been a resident in the care home for nearly a year. He has settled in well and both myself and my sister are very happy with the care he has received. We are always informed by staff if there have been any issues/incidents involving our dad. If we have asked for anything to be done for dad,
the staff have usually acted straight away. The staff are all very kind and caring to all the residents. The activities they have are amazing. My dad seems to love them. The home is very clean, the laundry is clean and fresh, the food is wonderful. It is a very warm and welcoming home.

I have lived in Skelton Court since the 4th of April 2024. I arrived ill, tired and frightened. Living on my own was becoming very difficult. here I feel safe, secure and looked after. The place is lovely, more like a luxury hotel than a care home. The staff are caring and cannot do enough for you.
It's a home-from-home. when friends brought food for lunch, the staff set a table with serviettes and wine glasses in the garden, another time my daughter stayed for lunch. Really, I can't praise Skelton Court enough. I'm as happy as I could be, given my circumstances. this place must beat all the others.

From what I've seen this is the best home around. Friendly staff, very clean. I'm told the food is very good. The rooms and communal areas are very nice, good decor. Maybe more activities, depending on what different residents want, as it can be boring.

There are no activities for my husband. Promises were made to take him for his paper and take him for a walk. This rarely happened. Even though he has dementia he can hold a sensible conversation and attempts the Times crossword each day. He is mobile with a stick. He was well looked after and the food
was wonderful. We enjoyed the monthly singing group.

Lovely, warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment of entry until departure. The staff are very friendly and helpful and deal with all queries promptly. There is a nice family feel, as I have gotten to know a few of the residents, as they have their meet-up place near reception.
The cooks have
worked with my aunt to find soft foods she can eat.
We are so pleased to have found this place; my aunt can comfortably spend her final time in life.

Hello, my name is Tony, and I am relatively new to the Anchor family, but I have worked within the social care field for over 35 years. My journey to Anchor Court began in my early 20s when I became a Senior carer in a small residential home in Middlesbrough. It’s been an incredible journey to get here, which has rewarded me with the skills I need to provide an environment where staff are able to deliver personalised care to residents, knowing that the resident is at the centre of everything we do.


I’m excited about the rest of my journey with Anchor and being Skelton Court's Registered Manager. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you to find the right care to meet your needs. I would like to invite you to pop in for a chat and a look around the home.

Ahoj, (Hi) my name is Rasto I was born Slovakia and came to the UK in 2001. My first role within care was a Housekeeper role in residential care home. I migrated over to care becoming a care assistant rising to the role of Team Leader. I then became a Deputy Manager approximately 9 years ago.
