Tolson Grange

from Stephen S (Son of Resident) published on 24 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum moved into Tolson Grange Care Home mid November 2025. All her family are delighted with how well she is being looked after and how well she has settled. Everyone who works there always has a smiling face for mum and all her visitors. The home is beautifully clean and there is always something
for mum to do which stimulates her. Mum loves all the entertainment. Before coming here mum was reluctant to eat but now she can't wait for mealtime. The home is looking great for Christmas.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I cannot express how delighted I am in recommending this care home. The love and care given to all the residents is exemplary. I have never heard a harsh word from any of the staff. I see lots of love and hugs dished out to each and every resident, along with lots and lots of laughs and encouragement.
I have noticed the staff take time to explain and calm residents when using the lifting aid or any other processes they carry out. The rooms are comfortable, and everywhere is very clean.

I am always so grateful for the care and attention given to my beautiful sister in law Freda. The thought and attention to all stails is second to none and five star. Thank you to Sharleen, Jaki and Jodie and of course their team of first class carers. It makes an enourmous difference to mind and her
brothers life knowing she is here at The Mill House. Thank you. x

The care and commitment shown by staff at Primrose Court was really wonderful. They looked after Dad with kindness and compassion and were always ready to have a smile and a joke with him, which he enjoyed. We were always made welcome when visiting and staff always made time to discuss Dad's care with
us. We are very grateful to Primrose Court for making Dad's final days as comfortable and dignified as possible.

Willow Gardens

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has been a resident of Willow Gardens for coming up to a year now, over which time she has settled in really well and has made many new friends. Mum happened to mentioned to one of the care team how much she would love to have a go at paddle boarding and amazingly the care team immediately set about
to make this happen for her. Mum was overwhelmed by their kindness for making this special moment happen and for taking such great care of her to make sure it was an unforgettable experience. She often talks about how much she enjoyed her afternoon on the lake and it is a lovely story for her to tell her family and friends. For the team to go above and beyond to make Mum's wish come true was a real testament to how much everyone at Willow works so hard to make every resident's stay as fulfilling as possible. Many thanks team Willow!

Millfield

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum recently celebrated her 103rd birthday and the staff pulled out all the stops to make her day enjoyable. The cook came in early to prepare cakes and in the afternoon one of Millfield's regular singers came in to perform for the residents. He sang songs that Mum knew and could join in with,
and we all sang Happy Birthday as Mum was presented with an enormous birthday cake and presents. The previous day the Mayor and Chaddy Owl had been invited to Millfield. Knowing of Mum's birthday, the Mayor had brought a huge bouquet for her. Mum felt very special. My husband and I cannot thank the Millfield staff, and that means all the staff, for looking after Mum during the past three years. They treat her as if she is their favourite granny with kindness and genuine affection. We, as a family, count ourselves very fortunate that Mum was offered a place here. Thank you to every single person who works there for your hard work and dedication.

Mum moved into Montrose in November. We were all worried about it, but the carers are amazing and mum says she's really comfortable. She says she feels safe and at peace, which makes us all so happy. The room is lovely and mum thinks she's still at home it's so cosy. Within the first few weeks she's
been out to a garden centre and watched an Elvis impersonator. Much more than she'd been doing whilst living alone. A big thank you to all the staff!

Thomas Henshaw Court have been fantastic at looking after mother after a very difficult couple of months for her. Initially very resistant to going into care she now regularly joins in with the many activities on offer and nothing seem too much trouble for the staff. All staff members are caring and
always cheery, with enormous patience and kindness. We could not be happier with the care that mum is receiving.

Silk Court

from S C (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum is a resident at the care home having been diagnosed with early onset dementia some years before. We were skeptical about putting her in a care home having just been in supported sheltered housing, but her time there has been a relief as the staff are very attentive to her needs. Any reservations
we did have, they would look into and make the necessary adjustments to support mum's care. In June 2025, she had a seizure, the team dealt with it quickly and we were allowed to be around whenever needed to make sure she was okay. The staff regularly do reviews of mum's care and ask if we have any concerns we wish to raise. Happy we chose Silk Court for her care.
Reply from Renae Dixon, Manager at Silk CourtThank you for taking the time to review Silk Court and we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as excellent. Thank you for your lovely feedback regarding our home and team, which I will pass on. I'm always happy to discuss all aspects of day to day life at Silk Court to ensure that this to the satisfaction of our residents and their loved ones.

I have found this care home to be excellent in caring for my mother with dementia. She has been at Ashcroft for over 2 years now, and has been treated with the utmost respect, kindness and compassion. Carers know my mum, understand her needs and respond accordingly. Staff see residents as a family
and genuinely care. I can approach with any concerns and I am always listened to and responded to. I cant recommend this facility highly enough.
