Everyone treated myself, mom and my sister like part of the family. We were all treated with nothing but warmth and caring. Staff were all exemplary in their treatment of mom from Oct 24 to July 25. On the day mom passed all members of staff came to pay their respects. The staff from manager to carers,
cleaners and cooks were all very professional yet having great empathy and affection for us as a family. They have all left a loving impression with us and keep them in our hearts. You should be so proud of all who are employed at Bloomfield Court.

Our Mom was in Bloomfield Court for 10 months and can honestly say the care, kindness and love bestowed on her, and us as the extended family was second to none. All the staff are credit to Anchor and certainly make Bloomfield Court the kind and caring place it is.
We really couldn't have chosen a
better care home for Mom's final months. When Mom died the staff were so respectful and attentive, we were wrapped in such warmth, we cannot thank the staff enough for what they did for us.

Halcyon Court

from J M (Daughter of Resident) published on 15 August 2025

I am delighted to share my experience with Halcyon Care Home, where my elderly relative currently resides. From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. The facility is impeccably maintained, providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents.

The

management at Halcyon is exceptional, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The staff are not just caregivers; they genuinely treat the residents like family, offering compassion and understanding in every interaction.

One of the highlights of Halcyon is the food. It's not only nutritious but also incredibly tasty, with a wide variety of options that cater to different dietary needs. My relative often mentions how much they enjoy mealtime, which speaks volumes about the quality of care provided.

Overall, Halcyon Care Home excels in every aspect-from cleanliness to management, staff efficiency, and the quality of food. I highly recommend

My mother moved into Brackenfield Hall on 1st September 2020 during Covid. Unfortunately we could not see the premises due to Covid restrictions so we were taking a risk.
Mum needed care away from people with Dementia and this was the only home I could find where the care side was completely separate
to the Dementia side.
We could not have found a better home, from the care Mum was given through to the staff and management, all have been exemplary. The home is always very clean, tidy, well kept and decorated.
Mum reached her 100th birthday in March and the party the staff put on for her was excellent and she thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mum passed away on the 9th July and again the care and attention the staff gave was exemplary.
As a family we had the comfort of knowing all the time Mum was at Brackenfield that she was being cared for and looked at after, which was a great comfort for us.
We can highly recommend Brackenfield Hall to anyone who either needs care or who have dementia.

I'm a weekly visitor to 'The Beeches' to visit my friend's mother. I also attended a 60s BBQ on a Saturday in July and all the residents I spoke to and my friend's mother, really enjoyed the experience. There's a family atmosphere and the staff go the extra mile for those they care for! I regularly
recommend that friends check out the Beeches if they feel care is required for a family member. A big 'well done' to the team!

My sister (97) is very happy at the above. She is extremely well cared for. Loves all the staff and carers. Also she still has good eyesight, speech, so in encouraged by the staff to join in things. Altogether we couldn't have found a better home. I am her P.A.O so wanted the best. She fully agrees
with this.

Cranlea

Before coming to Cranlea Mam was previously at another care home. It was our first experience with the care system but it soon became apparent that the care she was receiving was in no way good enough and we moved her. Now at Cranlea the improvement has been 100%. We have all been welcomed as a family
and feel involved with the day to day goings on. The staff are caring & friendly and, very quickly knew our names. Food has improved vastly - everything great!

Staff I have met and spoken with are caring, hard-working, and compassionate. This was the first care home I found for my mum where I felt they would take genuinely good care of her, as several of the staff are clearly experienced with long careers in care behind them already. The building is well-staffed,
the protected meal times are a sensible idea, and the rooms seem to be in good condition. All of my questions and requests are being met and resolved, and the management have been very accommodating.

Review of

Blackbrook House

from Alison H (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Excellent experience of Blackbrook House. My Mum has been there nearly 2 years and she has been transformed from someone who just watched TV, was not taking care of herself and was not interested in anything or anyone around her, to someone who takes an active interest in everything. She is a very different
person and I have not only got my Mum back but a happier version of my Mum than I have ever seen in spite of the fact that she was very happily married and had a lovely family! Being nurtured and looked after suits her down to the ground. She loves the staff, enjoys the activities, feels respected and cared for. I am always welcomed and the staff are very caring and friendly. I think the care and attention the staff show Mum is something she has needed for a long time and finally found! I definitely chose the right home for Mum. I am so happy she went to Blackbrook House.

Review of

Heather Vale

from Sara D (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother has recovered so well through the 24 hour professional care and support of all the staff at Heather Vale, she has been a resident for 6 weeks. Her needs as an individual are always their main priority. Each resident is involved in decision making around routines such as times to get up
and go to bed, the staff genuinely want them to feel it is their home and they strive to meet residents choices and wishes. It is a 'can do' culture. There is access to hairdressing (mum loves this), chiropody and other health related options like physiotherapy. The access to GP services is outstanding and very reassuring to know that if needed a GP would visit. The quality of care overall is excellent, there is opportunity to ask questions, there is a calm approach and the care home has a very good feel about it. The management team want to engage with relatives, they actively seek your views and are always looking at how things can be developed or changed for the better.

My mum was very unsettled when she first came. However with the excellent care and kindness of the staff she is now in a much better way. The staff are all very kind and considerate, if I have any questions they are only too happy to answer and reassure me. I am entirely satisfied with the care she
is recieving
