Our mum, has dementia and is a resident of Silver Court for a year and a half now.
She is happy and settled and extremely well looked after. She has regained all the weight she lost prior to her admission, her general health has been very good. She is content in her surroundings, she is always warm
and comfortable.
We are so impressed with the kindness of all the staff, from the reception staff, office staff, housekeepers and nursing staff.
We have been updated without prompting on issues regarding mum, staff referring mum to the GP whenever necessary.
She enjoys the food at her meal times and the snacks offered between.
The staff are so attentive and encourage mum to have extra fluids when she needs it.
I can only imagine how hard it is for staff to care for patients with dementia, but they never show it; what a skill.
The varied entertainment and activities provided is fantastic.

My sister and I would like to say 'thank you' to all the staff at Silver Court for their understanding, compassion and kindness shown towards our mum when she started her residency at Silver Court in November. It was a big change for her and our family and mum is settling into her new environment well.
We feel this has been achieved because of the above support given to her. Silver Court provides a caring place with weekly events which mum can choose to get involved with as and when she wants to. We, as a family, feel supported by the staff too.

I want to share my appreciation for the for the dedication, compassion, dignity, and kindness shown to my father during his 3.5 year stay at Silver Court.
I remember over 3 years ago walking through the doors that we had found a place where my father could be well cared for and respected. The environment
was always warm and welcoming to both residents and visitors alike from day one and it never faltered. Silver Court was only the second care home we visited but I couldn't see any others that would be better, and I was right with my instincts.
I know my father wasn't happy being removed from his home but from the moment he arrived at Silver Court it made an immeasurable difference to his life, and we know that he quickly became happy, settled and stopped feeling lonely and safe. The environment feels a true home away from home and the atmosphere is lovely.
If I could give Silver Court ten stars I would. I recommend this care home for anyone struggling to live safely on their own.

My experience with Silver Court has always been a positive one. The management and team do an excellent job and I always feel that my mum is in comfortable and safe hands. Living over 100 miles away from the home I find that the social media sites and newsletter work well in keeping me up to date with
what's happening and what's new, these communication platforms work very well. Overall I am extremely happy with the service and level of care we received!

I can't thank you enough for all of the care and attention that you show my cousin in your care home. She does not have any close relatives nearby so she regards your staff as her 'new family' and your residents as her 'new friends'. Personally, I am so thankful to the administration team for the constant
monitoring of her medical needs, arrangements to see doctors, accompanying visits to hospitals when needed and attention to personal hygiene. What a team! Her family can rest assured that she is receiving the best possible care. Thank you so much.

Mum has been in Silver Court since May 2024. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere with friendly and helpful and caring staff.
The building is bright and airy. The rooms have low widows so that there is a good view of the gardens.
It is lovely to see the photos taken by the staff of the activities
that the residents have enjoyed and it allows me to know what Mum has been doing. The singers are very popular.
It has given me peace of mind to know she is so well cared for.

I am truly grateful to all the staff at Silver Court for the kindness and patience with which mum is always treated. It is such a relief to know she is in good hands.
The support we the family receive, is also invaluable. As I live outside the UK, the video calls and the regular updates the team give
me mean that I feel that I am always in touch with mum.
Whenever I visit, I am always made to feel so welcome and part of Silver Court.

Our lovely relative became a resident at Silver Court in May 2021: she passed away at the very end of March 2025, having spent nearly 4 years in their care, so we have direct and extensive knowledge of this Care Home.
If it were possible, I would be tempted to score Silver Court at an 11, but the maximum
is a 10, so it's a 10.
We visited regularly and always found the place warm, clean and welcoming. We were constantly impressed with the diversity of the weekly 'programme of events' for residents and the manner in which the staff constantly interacted with their 'family' of guests.
In our experience, every aspect of care and attention shown to our her was at the highest standard and we will be forever grateful to the whole team at Silver Court for the warm and caring way in which they looked after her during her time there. ..

The team at Silver Court continue to be the most understanding, hard working, caring and utterly incredible team that I have seen. I feel so lucky and privileged to have their support for my mum, and every day, I feel confident that my mum is cared for with genuine love. Nothing is ever too much trouble,
everyone goes out of their way to make my mum feel happy, calm and safe. It is quite incredible and I can't thank every single person enough, for the tireless work they do. You are all so, so appreciated by me and my sister and brother. Genuine thanks for everything you do, every day.

My Uncle became a resident at Silver Court Care Home in February 2024, being 100 years old, always looked after himself, he adjusted quite quickly with the help of the staff. On November 7th his birthday now 101yrs. Silver Court made a room available for us as a family as some travelling long distance
to Celebrate his birthday. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the staff who made his birthday so special. They made sure we had everything we needed, decorated the room with banners and balloons, especially three showing 101. My Uncle has had much to say "It was better than his 100th". This is such a comfort knowing that my Uncle is safe and cared for.

Our family is currently incredibly disappointed with the continued failure of the care home to abide by the agreed care plan for our mother.
Staff repeatedly fail to fit hearing aids on a daily basis, leaving our mother struggling to hear.
Teeth are not cleaned and maintained on a daily basis.
A
doctor's appointment has been requested on multiple occasions, yet to be confirmed.
Her room often has an unpleasant smell.
Bins are frequently full of rubbish and dirty cups and dishes are left uncollected.
We are extremely concerned about the poor standards of communication from staff to management and the lack of feedback to the family.
Customer service standards and respectful conversion from staff to family are often questionable.
We expect things to improve.

Mum is very happy at Silver Court. She says the staff are very kind and she loves the food. She says we couldn't have chosen a better home for her! I have found the whole team to be very person-focused, ensuring resident's wishes are paramount. There is always a lot of laughter and you are always made
to feel very welcome when you arrive. Staff really know residents and are keen to keep you up to date with anecdotes and activities your loved one has been up to. When Mum has been unwell, the team has been quick to inform us of the situation and keep us up to date. I am so pleased we made the decision to bring Mum to Silver Court. From the moment she arrived, the team have gone out of their way to make her feel welcome and part of the family. I think we have been very lucky to find such an excellent home. Thank you, everybody, you are very much appreciated.

My dad was a resident at Silver Court from February 2023 up until March 2024. We loved it from the minute we arrived. It is bright and airy and all the staff are so kind and friendly. They were exceptionally sweet to my dad and looked after him so well. My sister and I never felt worried. They really
cared for him in his last few days and we will never forget the care they showed. I would not hesitate to recommend Silver Court for your loved one.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.681)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.681) out of 10 for Silver Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 22 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.681 for Silver Court is calculated as follows: ( (204 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (15 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 263 Ratings = 4.681
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Silver Court is based on 20 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4, which has been reached with 20 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
