My mother has been living at Silver Court for two and a half years now and on moving in, was able to choose the home for herself, having looked at other homes. The immediate impression was one of a lovely fresh and clean smell, being welcomed by friendly staff and a light and airy home that is all on the ground floor. Two and a half years later, that first impression hasn't changed and as a family, we feel reassured that Mum is being well cared for in a safe and comfortable environment. We particularly appreciate the strong and stable management of the home which has kept mum safe through the current difficult times.

Silver Court provides a loving and safe environment for our stepfather. The staff try extremely hard to provide a stimulating environment for the residents, a place to live which can become considered 'home', not just a place to live.

My mother was at Silver Court for 8 years until she sadly passed away. The staff are very caring and always there for residents and their visitors. The home was always clean and welcoming. I would strongly recommend Silver Court.

This is a friendly care home benefiting from being all on ground level. My mother was there for several years and enjoyed the well kept and easily accessible gardens.

The food was good, and the home was always clean and odour free. The staff, both carers and administration staff, were professional, approachable and friendly.

Silver Court provided excellent care for my mother who had Dementia.
Mum often said how very kind the staff were to her.
The staff are consistently respectful and treat residents with dignity.
They are attentive, caring and sensitive and appropriately affectionate towards the residents.
The food is good and the furniture and environment kept up to a high standard.
The staff go the extra mile and create lovely individualised events as well as general activities.

My mum lived in Silver Court for over three years and I would recommend it without hesitation.

My mother in law was a resident for over 3 years.
The care and attention she received were exemplary.
Staff and management are very careful and considerate and treat residents with friendliness and respect.
Housekeeping is excellent and the food is thoroughly appetising.
The general environment is bright and homely, the secure gardens a bonus.

It was a joy to visit the home and become part of the extended family.

This is a recent letter we sent to Silver Court expressing our warm sentiments:

We just wanted to express our immense gratitude to you for the amazing care Silver Court has provided for my father and continues to offer.

Silver Court is an exceptionally comfortable, warm and homely community with wonderfully kind and diligent staff. It is very well organized, the food is delicious and the gardens are quite beautiful. In spite of his advanced illness, my father is very happy at Silver Court, enjoying the many activities and loving attention he receives from his carers. We very much hope that he will be able to continue to stay with you as we know that you are providing exceptional care. Should any prospective clients/guests require a reference for Silver Court we would be happy to provide a very positive one at any time.

Thank you once again for being such a positive influence in our family's lives.

The carers are well-meaning and kind but there are too few of them really to manage the needs and numbers of residents.
For example, this afternoon, one carer was on duty with (I understand) 20 residents to supervise. She was to be alone with them for three hours - between approximately 1.30 and 4.30.
Help would be available elsewhere in the home if required.
Several residents are bed-bound with pressure sores so essential care (fluids and turning) would not be safely achieved, which must be compromising recovery.

The home manager was not in her office when I had to leave so I wasn't able to discuss the inadequate staffing.

We find the care given is good, the staff care about the residents. The home is clean and does not have the nasty smells that care homes have! The home is all on one level so that there is no dependency on lifts. It has been designed from scratch which means it was not converted from something else. The food is very good and comes directly from the kitchen, so it is hot when it arrives, it is also served on hot plates so that it keeps hot longer.

I would definitely recommend Silver Court. The home retains its staff who are all so caring, there are many activities for the residents and the food is outstanding. My husband has settled very happily which is a huge relief to my family.

There are internal gardens which the residents really enjoy in summer and through the windows in winter too.

When my 91-year-old uncle needed to go into care 18 months ago, we visited a number of care homes in the area. We settled on Silver Court because of the way we were greeted and shown around the excellent facilities which are all on ground floor level. My uncle settled very well and although he is a private and obstinate man used to living on his own he has adapted to the routine of being in care. He appreciates the good food, the friendly, caring staff and the occasional outings. We would certainly recommend Silver Court to anyone looking for a home for an elderly relative.

My nan is a resident at this care home, the home is very welcoming as you walk in. Not a day goes by when my nan is lonely as she always has people surroundings her. The care she receives is outstanding. I would not change that in any way. It is always hard when a relative goes into a care home but I have received more support than ever from the whole care staff team and management.

Mum has been here since July 2016 and took about 4 weeks to settle. The staff are very kind and treat her with dignity and quickly gained knowledge of how to treat her individually. I visit weekly and am welcomed by staff and residents.
The home is nicely laid out and well kept. It is secure and there are nice gardens (also secure).

Mum is happy and relaxed here.
