From the moment she moved in, there was always something to look forward to. The team worked so hard to make life enjoyable, with a wonderful range of activities, entertainment and trips out that kept Mum engaged and brought so many smiles. It never felt like just a care home - it felt like a real community.
As Mum reached the end of her life, the care she received was simply outstanding. Every member of staff treated her with such love, dignity and compassion, and they supported our family through an incredibly difficult time with genuine warmth and kindness. We will never forget the comfort they gave us.
A special thank you also goes to the manager, who was always so helpful, approachable and accommodating. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and her support throughout Mum's time at the home meant a great deal to us.
The environment is warm, clean, and well-managed, and there is always something going on to keep residents engaged and happy. It gives me real peace of mind knowing that my mum is not only well cared for, but also genuinely valued as an individual.
Communication with the staff has always been excellentthey keep me informed and are always happy to answer any questions or concerns. It's clear that they genuinely care about the residents and go above and beyond in everything they do.
I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and caring environment for their loved one. Thank you for everything you've done over the past year.
My husband was a very private and gentle man who fought cancer for 14 months his End of life care and the care of his family made this very difficult time slightly more manageable.
The team were very kind and attentive, they were responsive to his changing needs over his final week. I could not fault the care he received
Dad was a resident of The Manor House for over 3 years following a fall and his worsening dementia. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff; the management team, hospitality team, housekeeping and of course most importantly the carers are wonderful. Dad received the best care for which we are truly grateful. Unfortunately he passed away recently but the respect, kindness and care he received near the end helped his passing to be as peaceful as possible and the support received by my sister and I during the past 3 years and especially recent weeks has been tremendous. Having looked at other care homes in the area the things that The Manor House has which I think others might lack is joy and friendship. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
My mother has been looked after by The Manor House at Harrogate for seven years, and the throughout all that time the care and support has been exemplary. The staff have become her family, not just support staff, and have always shown an interest in her and her life. My family has always been made welcome when visiting and have been invited to the several activities taking place regularly.
We particularly wanted to say thankyou to everyone on the team (shout out for Kelly and Tom, so caring and supportive) who looked after Mum. We have been confident throughout that Mum was well cared for, and we are so grateful for that. To us, the criteria has always been 'would Dad have approved' of the arrangements that we made for Mum. That's a resounding yes, which is a great comfort.
So this is a simple but heartfelt thankyou, then, for all your care, keep up the good work.
An Exemplary Care Home - Manor House were incredible. My Dad needed respite care after hospital and had complex needs. The staff were professional and committed to the highest level of care, and they helped me with him on the same day I contacted them. I am so grateful. The building is beautiful, like an upmarket hotel, with a delightful cafe that Dad and visitors enjoyed being in. Can't fault it!!
We are delighted to hear that your father's respite stay met your expectations and that our team were able to support you both so quickly during what can...
The team at The Manor House were very supportive to mum, my sister and I. They respected my mums desire for independence whilst still attending to her needs. They were also always very helpful and supportive to me and my sister and we were safe in the knowledge that mum was being well cared for and supported. Excellent support from all partcularly Yvonne, Gilly and Kelly. Thank you.
My father came for respite care to give my mother a rest. All staff were welcoming, supportive and extremely kind and he was made to feel at ease straight away. His room was lovely, with little welcome gifts left for him. Dad made some social connection with staff and residents and really enjoyed his time at The Manor House. He was happy well looked after and it worked perfectly for us as a family. We will be doing again.

We were very impressed with the quality of provision and care provided by the Manor House throughout our mother's time there. It is lovely well equipped home - my mother particularly enjoyed the café - and is ideally located near the Valley Gardens in Harrogate. Sadly her stay was all too brief, but the respect, kindness and consummate professionalism of the all the staff in her last few days made a very difficult time for us much more bearable, and ensured her passing was as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
We are very pleased to hear that you found The Manor House to be a welcoming and well-equipped home, and that your...
This is a great comfort and reassurance that my father is being looked after and cared for by a great care team,
A big thank you to all the care staff at The Manor House Harrogate
When looking for a care home for my father, Manor House was the only choice we felt comfortable with. We have been proved right! It's beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and the staff are lovely. We have absolute confidence in dads care at the Manor House. We always feel welcome when we visit.
Would highly recommend to others, I'd stay here myself!

We have loved having your mother-in-law here with us at The Manor House Harrogate and it's great to see she has settled in so well. Myself and team are always on hand to answer any questions you may...
My mum had a 16 night stay at Manor House in January 2025 to recuperate after hospital. My mum, and we as a family, were most impressed with Manor House. The room with en-suite bathroom was on the ground floor near the cafe so a very central location for social interaction. The furnishings were very plush with an array of orchids displayed. It was literally like a 5 star hotel. The food was great too ... always plenty of choice. She could eat in her room, in the cafe or in any of the restaurants on each floor. The thing that stood out most though were the staff ... from management, to admin, to maintenance, to the carers. They were all exceptional. Nobody had that "there there dear" attitude that can often be used with older people. Nothing was too much trouble. So considering all of the above, my mum had a lovely stay at this care home ... and as a family, we had that all-important peace of mind that she was being well looked after by genuinely nice people who actually do care.
Thank you for leaving The Manor House Harrogate a review. We always love receiving feedback from residents and their families and your time is greatly appreciated. It is our priority here to provide tailored high-quality care within a luxury yet comfortable and homely environment, but I am so...
Sadly my mum only lived at the Manor House for 1 month so didn't manage to appreciate the lifestyle at this lovely care home. This home deserves the 10* rating it has achieved and I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review as feedback is very important to us here at The Manor House Harrogate . Your kind words are appreciated, and although Mum was only with us for a short period of time, it was a pleasure to look after her. We will ensure to pass your feedback on to the wider team.
Sadly she passed away this month, but the care given was absolutely out of this world
I cant speak highly enough of the staff at The Manor House, the level of care and love given was exceptional.
I would recommend the The Manor House to everybody and as a family we are so grateful that my mum's last days in this world were peaceful, safe and cared for
Congratulations Team Manor House you are simply the best.

Your words are really powerful and I will share them with the team. It re-enforces the impact of the work we do every day for the individuals we care for and their family members.
After needing to find a care home for my mother that met her current needs, we embarked on an exhaustive search for a suitable residential facility. We were delighted to find the Manor House in Harrogate and even happier when they found a room for our mother. The building and facilities are impressive. Modern, well-furnished and clean, with comfortable communal areas and spacious bedrooms. However, the standout feature is the attentive and good-natured staff, which is by far the most essential factor when looking for a care home. My mother has settled in quickly, and hearing from her that she feels very well looked after makes us all reassured that we have made the right choice. As a family, we are pleased and grateful that our mother is being cared for by the excellent staff at the Manor House, which feels more like a well-run hotel.
Thank you for leaving The Manor House Harrogate a review. We welcome all feedback from residents and their families, your time is greatly appreciated. I will always remember with fondness the fun, kindness and caring shown to my Dad by everyone. Thank you to you all on Chester floor for being such an important part of Dad's last phase of life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Feedback is very important to us and we are so pleased to hear you have been happy with your dad's care throughout his time at The Manor House Harrogate. It's been a privilege to care for your dad. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review, we will ensure to pass your lovely comments onto the whole team.
I have visited over a hundred care and nursing homes professionally so was very picky about where dad lived. We visited 7 homes before choosing Manor House as somewhere we thought he would be well cared for, where he would feel at ease, where there were suitable opportunities for him to socialise and hopefully get the most out of whatever time he had left.
While dad's health and strength never returned sufficiently for him to take advantage of the facilities, he enjoyed the food as one of his last remaining pleasures.
While Manor House is undoubtedly 'high end' in terms of design and furnishings, the true test of any care home is how well it meets the needs of its residents, in my dad's case, we could not have hoped for a more caring and competent team to care for him. My family is very grateful for that.
Thank you very much for leaving a review for The Manor House Harrogate. Your testimony means a lot to us all. Food and nutrition is a very important part of the package of care we deliver and I am glad your dad found a lot of pleasure in his meals. The team are extremely honoured to have supported your dad throughout his time with us. I will pass on your kind comments to them all. Thank you.
When I made enquiries to The Manor House, I spoke to the deputy manager. She was very helpful and arranged for me to bring my mother for a look around the care home. Everybody was so helpful and accommodating. I was given a tour around the care home and the transition from then to getting my mother in went very smoothly. My mother has settled very quickly. The staff are lovely and they make a big effort to celebrate events such as Halloween. Such a welcoming place. I feel very happy that my mother is being cared for to the highest standard.

Meet the Team (5)

I have been a care home manager for ten years and have a Master’s Degree in Public Health. I have been the manager of The Manor House since 2017 - before it was built - and have overseen every step of the process to where we are now.
Each team member has been carefully selected based on their individual strengths and qualities, to ensure our residents receive the best level of care. I am proud to lead my enthusiastic, compassionate and diverse team of staff in delivering the highest standards in one of England's most luxurious care homes.
We always strive to do our best in all areas as reflected on our carehome.co.uk reviews and CQC report. My door is always open.

I have worked in the care industry since the age of 19. I was not aware at the time that I had found my vocation.
Throughout my 20 years of experience, I have evolved through various roles in a care setting from a care assistant to a deputy manager. I have been part of the team at The Manor House since we opened the doors in 2018 and I am thoroughly proud of being part of the foundations of this highly regarded care home and contributing to the quality standards we have set.
It is a joy to support individuals and their families in their transition to The Manor House and strive to ensure the experience is as smooth and positive as possible.

Hi everyone! My name is Kamil and I'm honoured and happy to be part of the team at Manor House. For over 18 years, I've been passionate about working in health and social care. It's incredibly rewarding to support others and help them feel valued and important. Through the years, I've had the privilege of working in various social care settings supporting people with moderate to complex needs.
At The Manor House, we care for individuals who are loved, and with unique stories and experiences. My goal is to ensure they continue living their lives to the fullest with the support they deserve. The team here share my passion for providing the best possible care, and together we create a supportive and enriching environment for our residents.

I have worked in various kitchens over a 22 year span and have learned many things along the way regarding how different kitchens work.
I love cooking and seeing people enjoying the food I have prepared for them, whether it be in a restaurant, a hotel, doing banquets and weddings, or for residents in a care home - where I currently work with Anchor.
My main focus is to ensure that all the food I prepare is done so with care, love and attention, ensuring my guests receive the best possible experience. I really enjoy face to face interactions with my guests and residents, as I feel it is important to get feedback on what I do and to build a rapport with the clientele.
I believe you have to be adaptable in your approach when it comes to food as everyone has different pallets. A care home environment is a wonderful place to be in as I am effectively coming into other people’s home and doing what I love both in and out of work.

I have been a member of The Manor House team for four and a half years. I take the lead role in the administration within the home and like to be organised! Always happy to greet people with a smile and will help however I can. I have worked in adult social care for 18 years in various roles so hopefully, I can help with any questions you may have.
