The Manor House Harrogate is the most fabulous care home. The management and staff always go the extra mile. It is just like a five-star hotel. My mum is so happy and is particularly enjoying the delicious meals prepared by the kitchen chefs. Every care is taken to ensure the food is well-balanced. My mum has improved dramatically after her accident.

The Manor House Harrogate is a modern purpose-built care home with a lovely south-facing garden in a sought-after residential area close to the renowned gardens. It provides tastefully furnished and well-appointed accommodation with comfortable lounges and other communal facilities, which I liken to a five-star hotel. My wife, who has dementia, has been a resident for approaching two years, during which time she has been very well looked after by pleasant, friendly and caring staff who make sure she has the opportunity of being included in the various activities organised in the home and is not left in her room on her own. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience and would have no hesitation in recommending The Manor House Harrogate to anyone looking for a top-quality home.

My lovely mum, who has dementia, has been a resident at The Manor House since December 2021. The home is beautiful, more like a hotel, and it is a pleasure to visit. The individual rooms are beautiful and very well-appointed. There are lots of activities, and the whole place feels like a family environment.
The staff are all exceptional and provide true person-centred care. I’m amazed how all the staff remember each person's name, and everyone is tread with respect and dignity.

I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they are providing for Mum and the support they have given to me. This is truly an exceptional home, and I would highly recommend it.

My aunt(91) took up residence in November 2022. She has very particular needs and has found the transition very difficult. The staff at The Manor have done everything to make this as easy and comfortable for her, understanding her needs and generally introducing her to life in a care home.

The Manor House Harrogate is an amazing care home with a caring family atmosphere. My dad has Alzheimer's and he has been settled and much happier since his move to The Manor House in August 2022. I visit often and the management and care teams make me feel supported and I know my dad is well cared for. The decor in the home is beautiful and it does feel like a hotel, there are frequent activities and a cafe bar which is lovely for residents and their visitors.

From our very first visit to The Manor House, I knew it was going to be the perfect place for my mother, who is such a lady. We were both impressed with the management and all the staff who greeted us with a smile and a kind and caring approach. The decor is absolutely stunning and attention to detail is outstanding and exceptionally well designed. The beautifully laid-out dining room with linen napkins is something my mother noticed straight away and is very important to her. My mother has a stunning room with a bay window which is spacious and very homely. We moved my mother into The Manor House on the 30th June 2022 she says it’s like living in a hotel, everything is done for her. She just gets up, puts on her beautiful clothes and is treated like a lady with her meals, entertainment, hair and nails. As her daughter, I couldn’t have wished for anywhere better for my Mother, who has dementia, knowing 24/7 my mother is safe, cared for and treated with respect and dignity. Thank you. 5*

I stayed here for 2 weeks in April. I have every intention of moving back here permanently. My only criticism is that I didn't get croissants for breakfast but have been assured they are available by request. Very caring, very comfortable. My room was big. The views are good but the front rooms which are more expensive have better views. I am on a waiting list for these. I enjoyed the residents' meeting - it seems that the manager listens to the views and acts on this quickly. I 100% recommend living here.

From first visiting the Manor House with my brother, we were impressed with the management of the home, the staff and the design of the home which is of a high standard. Due to the way the building has been designed and the size of each wing, it felt homely but of a high quality which is exactly what we were looking for. My Dad was only in the Manor House for just over two months but during that time, we felt Dad was cared for very well and my Mum’s needs were considered. Communication was good and the care given as my Dad reached the end of his life was excellent. The staff got to know my Dad and his needs very quickly and we were very happy with the standards of care and the cleanliness, laundry service, etc. My Mum, my brother and me were made to feel welcome from the outset. We are grateful for all that the Manor House did for my Dad and our family. A professional home with a dedicated, hard-working team of staff whatever their role in the home.

My husband went into The Manor House in August 2021. From the minute he arrived, the staff were caring and attentive. The surroundings felt very homely and my husband settled in really well. The staff were also very supportive to me and became like an extended family. When my husband's condition deteriorated the staff didn't just try and muddle through they wanted what was best for my husband and fought hard for him to get the care that he needed so that he had a good quality of life. Sadly, this meant he had to move to another care home but I cannot thank the management and staff enough for their support and for fighting his corner all the way. I couldn't have chosen a better place for my husband to go to when I was looking for a home for him.

Excellent. A bit short staffed but always kind and helpful. I shall stay here. They need more trained night staff because some of the patients are quite ill. The activities are excellent. I get a bit scared on nights and a bit lonely.

My Mother was at The Manor House for 10 months. The overall standard was excellent. My Mum was at the end of her life and she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Caring staff made sure all her needs were met and also communicated to myself and my sister on a daily basis, when we were not able to visit due to Covid. Given the circumstances, it was of great comfort to us.

Both of my parents are being cared for at The Manor House. They have very different needs and I couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to them and the family. My stepfather is in respite after an illness and has recovered well with the high level of care given. The food and activities on offer are particularly appealing to him, he has said the carers can’t do enough for him. Mum has Alzheimers and it was a very difficult decision to put her into care. I have never looked back since choosing The Manor House. The staff are excellent communicators and the stimulating and positive environment is wonderful for Mum’s needs. She is extremely happy and settled there. A well-managed care home with an excellent team of professional, caring and dedicated staff.

My mum has been a great mum.
She now has dementia and needs 24-hour care.
I wanted the best for her and I also I believe I found it at the Manor House.

Thanks very much to the wonderful, patient, caring staff, I don't need to worry about mum. She has reassured me she's fine and looked after when I visit her.

Lovely, clean, bright place with a variety of facilities for residents to rest, relax, sit down and socialise. Mum says the staff is lovely, attentive and helping her a lot! She thinks the food is great and overall she is able to relax and get better after hospital admission. I find everyone is very lovely and helpful here. I think I am supported here.

I cannot praise The Manor House, Harrogate enough. The care my husband received was excellent, throughout his stay until he sadly passed away. The care from the staff was amazing and I was so thankful he spent his last days there, 'above and beyond' what was expected. Many heartfelt thanks to you all.

The Manor House is more like a 5* hotel than a residential home, but magnificent as the building and surrounding gardens are, it is the staff that makes this home so special. My mother-in-law was a resident for just over a year and during that time the staff showed her love, care, and compassion and always went the extra mile for her. Her well-being was most definitely their priority. In her final hours, she always had someone with her to hold her hand and reassure her and the kindness that was shown to her throughout her stay was extended to me too. The home produced a newsletter each month outlining the numerous events and activities that were laid on for the residents and be it Christmas or Euro 2020 the staff made every effort to decorate the home and engage the residents. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. 5 stars are simply not enough.

I have been a care home manager for ten years and have a Master’s Degree in Public Health. I have been the manager of The Manor House since 2017 - before it was built - and have overseen every step of the process to where we are now.

Each team member has been carefully selected based on their individual strengths and qualities, to ensure our residents receive the best level of care. I am proud to lead my enthusiastic, compassionate and diverse team of staff in delivering the highest standards in one of England's most luxurious care homes.

We always strive to do our best in all areas as reflected on our carehome.co.uk reviews and CQC report. My door is always open.

I have worked in the care industry since the age of 19. I was not aware at the time that I had found my vocation.

Throughout my 20 years of experience, I have evolved through various roles in a care setting from a care assistant to a deputy manager. I have been part of the team at The Manor House since we opened the doors in 2018 and I am thoroughly proud of being part of the foundations of this highly regarded care home and contributing to the quality standards we have set.

It is a joy to support individuals and their families in their transition to The Manor House and strive to ensure the experience is as smooth and positive as possible.

Hi everyone! My name is Kamil and I'm honoured and happy to be part of the team at Manor House. For over 18 years, I've been passionate about working in health and social care. It's incredibly rewarding to support others and help them feel valued and important. Through the years, I've had the privilege of working in various social care settings supporting people with moderate to complex needs.

At The Manor House, we care for individuals who are loved, and with unique stories and experiences. My goal is to ensure they continue living their lives to the fullest with the support they deserve. The team here share my passion for providing the best possible care, and together we create a supportive and enriching environment for our residents.

Paul Richardson-Mackie

I have worked in various kitchens over a 22 year span and have learned many things along the way regarding how different kitchens work.

I love cooking and seeing people enjoying the food I have prepared for them, whether it be in a restaurant, a hotel, doing banquets and weddings, or for residents in a care home - where I currently work with Anchor.

My main focus is to ensure that all the food I prepare is done so with care, love and attention, ensuring my guests receive the best possible experience. I really enjoy face to face interactions with my guests and residents, as I feel it is important to get feedback on what I do and to build a rapport with the clientele.

I believe you have to be adaptable in your approach when it comes to food as everyone has different pallets. A care home environment is a wonderful place to be in as I am effectively coming into other people’s home and doing what I love both in and out of work.
