The team at The Manor House were very supportive to mum, my sister and I. They respected my mums desire for independence whilst still attending to her needs. They were also always very helpful and supportive to me and my sister and we were safe in the knowledge that mum was being well cared for and
supported. Excellent support from all partcularly Yvonne, Gilly and Kelly. Thank you.

My father came for respite care to give my mother a rest. All staff were welcoming, supportive and extremely kind and he was made to feel at ease straight away. His room was lovely, with little welcome gifts left for him. Dad made some social connection with staff and residents and really enjoyed
his time at The Manor House. He was happy well looked after and it worked perfectly for us as a family. We will be doing again.

We were very impressed with the quality of provision and care provided by the Manor House throughout our mother's time there. It is lovely well equipped home - my mother particularly enjoyed the café - and is ideally located near the Valley Gardens in Harrogate. Sadly her stay was all too brief, but
the respect, kindness and consummate professionalism of the all the staff in her last few days made a very difficult time for us much more bearable, and ensured her passing was as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

Outstanding care, My father who is terminally ill has always thanked the care team for their continued attention to detail and kindness in his care, Unfortunately my father has had three falls in the past 12 hours and the care team have kept me informed of every step they have taken and including
the out of hours medical services,
This is a great comfort and reassurance that my father is being looked after and cared for by a great care team,

A lovely care home with a hotel feel. The experience from the first contact to my mother-in-law arriving has been perfect. The staff are really attentive and so far looking after her very well. She seems very happy to be here for her respite care
Would highly recommend to others, I'd stay here

My mum had a 16 night stay at Manor House in January 2025 to recuperate after hospital. My mum, and we as a family, were most impressed with Manor House. The room with en-suite bathroom was on the ground floor near the cafe so a very central location for social interaction. The furnishings were very
plush with an array of orchids displayed. It was literally like a 5 star hotel. The food was great too ... always plenty of choice. She could eat in her room, in the cafe or in any of the restaurants on each floor. The thing that stood out most though were the staff ... from management, to admin, to maintenance, to the carers. They were all exceptional. Nobody had that "there there dear" attitude that can often be used with older people. Nothing was too much trouble. So considering all of the above, my mum had a lovely stay at this care home ... and as a family, we had that all-important peace of mind that she was being well looked after by genuinely nice people who actually do care.

Sadly my mum only lived at the Manor House for 1 month so didn't manage to appreciate the lifestyle at this lovely care home. This home deserves the 10* rating it has achieved and I would recommend it to anyone.

My mum moved into The Manor House Harrogate in September 2024, she was immediately made to feel very welcome and very quickly felt at home.
Sadly she passed away this month, but the care given was absolutely out of this world
I cant speak highly enough of the staff at The Manor House, the level of
care and love given was exceptional.
I would recommend the The Manor House to everybody and as a family we are so grateful that my mum's last days in this world were peaceful, safe and cared for

After needing to find a care home for my mother that met her current needs, we embarked on an exhaustive search for a suitable residential facility. We were delighted to find the Manor House in Harrogate and even happier when they found a room for our mother. The building and facilities are
impressive. Modern, well-furnished and clean, with comfortable communal areas and spacious bedrooms. However, the standout feature is the attentive and good-natured staff, which is by far the most essential factor when looking for a care home. My mother has settled in quickly, and hearing from her that she feels very well looked after makes us all reassured that we have made the right choice. As a family, we are pleased and grateful that our mother is being cared for by the excellent staff at the Manor House, which feels more like a well-run hotel.

My Dad was a resident of The Manor House for just over a year. He was very content and happy there and I was extremely impressed with the care he received from all members of staff. It speaks for itself when we were able to move Dad out of hospital back to Manor House for his last few days. He
received wonderful end-of-life care, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
I will always remember with fondness the fun, kindness and caring shown to my Dad by everyone. Thank you to you all on Chester floor for being such an important part of Dad's last phase of life.

My dad moved into The Manor House from an assisted living apartment with domiciliary care. His increased care needs and loss of mobility exceeded what assisted living could provide.
I have visited over a hundred care and nursing homes professionally so was very picky about where dad lived. We
visited 7 homes before choosing Manor House as somewhere we thought he would be well cared for, where he would feel at ease, where there were suitable opportunities for him to socialise and hopefully get the most out of whatever time he had left.
While dad's health and strength never returned sufficiently for him to take advantage of the facilities, he enjoyed the food as one of his last remaining pleasures.
While Manor House is undoubtedly 'high end' in terms of design and furnishings, the true test of any care home is how well it meets the needs of its residents, in my dad's case, we could not have hoped for a more caring and competent team to care for him. My family is very grateful for that.

When I made enquiries to The Manor House, I spoke to the deputy manager. She was very helpful and arranged for me to bring my mother for a look around the care home. Everybody was so helpful and accommodating. I was given a tour around the care home and the transition from then to getting my mother
in went very smoothly. My mother has settled very quickly. The staff are lovely and they make a big effort to celebrate events such as Halloween. Such a welcoming place. I feel very happy that my mother is being cared for to the highest standard.

My mother had two weeks respite after three weeks in hospital. She particularly commented on the kindness and care of the staff in all departments. It had a feeling of a first class hotel and we were extremely happy to leave her in their care. She enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings.

I cannot recommend this home enough, and my experience, and that of my parents, has been nothing but positive. Our mother came to the Manor House Care Home in April 2022, after a series of illnesses which she struggled to recover from. She was then joined by my father in November 2022. I can
honestly say that they have blossomed since their arrival, and they are very open about how happy they are there, and how kind everyone is. The staff of The Manor are without exception, extraordinarily engaged and passionate about the work they do. There is an incredibly happy atmosphere in this stunningly beautiful home, where the residents are friends, and the staff are always prepared to go that extra mile to accommodate. I live abroad, so it was very important to me that my parents felt happy and were well looked after, and The Manor has provided not just that, but also so much more, in terms of fun, caring and quality of life. Thank you all so much!

This care home is fantastic and provides the very best care for my mother-in-law. It's a pleasure to visit her in such a lovely place. The staff are very attentive and this gives us the peace of mind that she is being well looked after.

Mum moved into Manor House early in May, and as a family, we are very happy for Mum knowing she is in a lovely facility with fabulous staff and receiving 24-hour care if required.
The Manor House has a luxury hotel feel with a lovely cafe area. We have also had two family private dining meals and
the food was delicious.
The staff are very helpful and very happy which adds a nice feel to the care home.
We also like that there are plenty of activities for residents, and as Mum adjusts to her new environment we are pleased she is getting involved with the activities.

Perfect decision for me to stay at The Manor House Harrogate for convalescence following surgery! Beautiful surroundings, kind and caring staff in all departments, reassuring to know 'nothing' was too much trouble which helped enormously with my recovery. I would have no hesitation in recommending
or booking myself in again should the need arise! (Only slight negatives would be: building always very warm, Wi-Fi temperemental, bedding and towels could be of better quality - but appreciate difficulties in this regard!) Thank you for looking after me!
