Staff are all friendly and really helpful. I have full confidence that my mother receives excellent care and has become more alert, having moved to Birch Lodge.
The manager, Marg & team head Suraj go the extra mile to care for the residents, taking time to get to know individual needs.

My experience with Oakleigh has been a revelation. We had to put my mother in care in May and I was extremely anxious as to how this would affect her. I have seen the stories.
She has her wits about her and is a tough cookie but her memory isn't great.
Well, she has never been happier. She praises
the staff virtually every time I speak to her. On my visits, I can see how the staff are inter acting with other residents as well as the general warmth of the place. Staff are accommodating and respectful in all circumstances.
Day trips, events and a real effort to make the place a pleasant environment.
She doesn't want to leave and loves the staff.
This is a big relief and it's changed her life. She's very happy . Happy mum , happy son.

My mother has been at Oakleigh, Godstone since late May 25' and has made us promise her that we will not move her out!!! I think that says alot. Its great for family/ friends to leave reviews but the biggest compliment Oakleigh could have is for one of their own residents giving a full 5 stars to
them!!
Well done Oakleigh and thank you

As a family, we are truly grateful for the kindness, patience and dedication shown every day from the staff at Oakleigh to our dear Mum. Mum has been a very happy resident at Oakleigh for over 18 months. After a recent fall and subsequent hospital stay the staff at Oakleigh have worked so hard, going
above and beyond in order to help rehabilitate Mum. Words can't express how much comfort It brings us knowing Mum is in such safe and caring hands.

My aunt was admitted to Ridgement after a fall and I was concerned about the care homes rating by CQC. However I can only recommend the care of the staff. The home does not smell, it is pleasantly decorated, kept clean. The home manager is amazing, knows immediately who you are visiting and will give
you up to date status of your loved one without asking their care team. My aunt enjoys the activities program and is free to go and explore other units. If she strikes up a friendship she is free to socialise when she wants and even have her meals there.

My dad has been living at Linwood for 18 months and the care has been great. He lived with us for 9 years before his care needs became too great for us to manage at home. The staff at linwood are caring, and there has been minimal turnover in the time dads been there which has meant they really know
him. There is a good range of activities that change every week. Food is good, they've helped us celebrate family occasions and it feels like the team at linwood really try to go the extra mile.

Limegrove

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Since my mother moved into Limegrove in July, I have been deeply impressed by the wonderful care she has received there. Nothing is too much trouble; the staff are wonderfully kind, not only to Mum but also to all her visitors, family & friends.
The range of activities is amazing - twice everyday
there is a social occasion. In the last 10 days alone this has included pumpkin carving, Christmas cake stirring, music concerts, quizzes & so on & so on. Mum now has so much more stimulation & company than she ever had previously. We are excited about the imminent Christmas lights turn on, the panto trip & Christmas carols concert trip.
To anyone contemplating the move for a loved one, I strongly recommend Limegrove. The food is super (the menu determined by residents), the rooms are pleasant & Mum has made some lovely new friends. The move has been a major change for her & for our family, but I am completely certain that she is in the best place possible for her at this stage of life.

I was not expecting my mum's transition to a care home to run so smoothly. Ridgemount was not my first choice, but I am now so relieved and happy that Mum is a resident here. She has excellent care.
The staff are wonderful - the understanding, calming and fun aspects they bring to the residents lives
with dementia are amazing.
My mum is really settled, comfortable and happy at Ridgemount. She has made friends and loves the dedicated staff.I am
very grateful to them.

Moore Place

from Wendy R (Respite Resident) published on 11 November 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I chose Moore Place, having met with Chelsea, who showed me around the care home and I had made a request for, if possible, a ground floor room with garden access, for a respite period of two weeks. I was fortunate that upon my arrival from hospital, I had been allocated exactly what I had requested!
The care staff here are amazing, nothing is too much trouble no matter, that they might be at the end of a shift and probably very very tired, that was never allowed to show! Only saw kindness, courtesy, consideration and respect! Activities ? Every day some outings, talks, board games, art work, armchair exercises, special occasion afternoons and nights with professional singers visiting. All resident's gently encouraged to be involved, but no pressure. My two weeks respite at Moore Place has meant I can now return to my independent living in my own apartment, having recouped after a major operation, thanks to you all at Moore Place.

We have been so blessed that our dad could live here. I have seen many care homes through my work and I've been blown away by the standard of care. They looked after him so well physically and also emotionally and as he approached his last days gave him better care than a hospice, constantly and thoughtfully
checking that he was alright and that we had everything that we wanted while we sat with him, whilst still providing the planned entertainment for the other residents. Despite his dementia being advanced, over the last few months they found things that would work for him and recognised him as an individual with a history and a wealth of experiences. Carers even came to pay their respects and say goodbye after he'd died. There is such a feeling of family and of the importance of everybody being valued and supported. It is a one in a million home

My mother has Alzheimers and came to the Beeches in March 2023. She has always been treated with kindness, patience and dignity by all staff. I have visited most days, at different times, and each time I have, my mum is clean, comfortable and well presented. Even now, when she has been in bed since
May, and very frail, staff always give her wonderful care and attention. Her needs have been changed as her condition has deteriorated and I have always been listened to and consulted. Wonderful place. Food + surroundings lovely too and cannot praise the new manager enough for his approachable style and for listening.
