Review of Ridgemount from Liam B (Son of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Really impressed with the staff and friendliness of the people who work there. The place is clean and my mother is relaxed there. I thank Eve for her and her staff looking after my mother so well. Sometimes they do visits with the residents and it's great they have a lovely garden to sit in. In the summer they do a great barbecue for all the residents and family. Thanks again Eve and your team xx

Review of Ridgemount from Alana B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 5 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Supporting my husband in choosing a care home for his mum was a very difficult decision for us, and we wanted to make sure we found somewhere she would be happy and well cared for. From our first visit to Ridgemount, we felt reassured. The manager was warm, approachable, and took the time to listen to us, answer our questions, and make what was an emotional time much easier.

My mother-in-law has now been at Ridgemount for around two years, and we have been very happy with the care she receives. The staff are kind, patient, and genuinely care about the residents. Whenever we have had a question or concern, the manager has always taken the time to listen and ensure it is addressed, which gives us confidence and peace of mind. We are really pleased with the choice we made and would happily recommend Ridgemount to any family looking for a caring home for their loved one.

Review of Moore Place from D T (Respite Resident) published on 4 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My stay at Moore Place has been exemplary. The standard of care and the skill of the carers are to be recommended. Their attitude and the way they build the relationship required in understanding the individual care of each resident's need is exceptional. The warmth of staff and care given has added to the speed of my recovery,

Review of Eastlake from A P (Friend of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I visit Eastlake regularly to see a friend, and it's always a pleasure to spend time there. The home has such a warm, homely atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment you arrive, you're made to feel at ease.
The food always looks delicious, and it's clear that residents are well cared for. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to see a fantastic entertainer performing, and it was wonderful to see everyone singing along, smiling, and genuinely enjoying themselves.

The home is always clean, comfortable, and inviting. What has impressed me most is the positive difference Eastlake has made to my friend. They used to live at home and often felt lonely, but now they have plenty of company, are well looked after, and seem much happier. It's reassuring to know they are in such a caring and supportive environment. I would happily recommend Eastlake to anyone looking for a welcoming and compassionate care home.

Review of Eastlake from S D (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Eastlake is a very clean care home and all rooms are kept well with no horrible smells, as commented by those visiting my mother. The staff are very friendly and many have been working there a long time giving the residents continuity in there care. The regular visits by opticians, chiropodists and hairdressers all help to keep the residents cared for. Regular visits from the local GP is well organised.

Reply from Nicola Drake-Smith, Home Manager at Eastlake

Review of The Beeches from G J (Son of Resident) published on 8 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

In a challenging environment, the staff are trying their best to meet the needs of the residents. Inconsistent management has created some discord and improved leadership is required to boost staff morale and provide improved experiences for all residents. Generally the service provided is good but equally there is room for improvement through training for staff resulting in a better outcome for residents and their families. Improved communication between the care home and families would be helpful.

Linwood Care home is a very happy, positive place in which my close friend lives due to his health needs. There are regular celebrations depending on time of year. The Food / Quality of Care, cleanliness is 100%. I feel proud to say my friend lives in Linwood & he has special relationships with most of the staff who remain for many years.

Review of Glendale from Derek J (Son of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum is in Glendale and her care is exceptional. We choose Glendale having been shown round by Sarah the receptionist, and it was obvious that she had a connection with all the residents she encountered, which left a lasting impression on my wife and I.
I find all the staff to be friendly and caring, not only to my mum but to me as well, which gives me peace of mind in the knowledge she is being looked after well. My mum enjoys the meals and finds them tasty and filling and is starting to join in the various activities provided during the week which the staff encourage her to do, so, I don't have to worry she is sitting alone in her room. The carehome administrator Hope, was so helpful getting the contacts and forms sorted it made what can be a difficult time, much more bearable.

Overall my mum is happy and feels well cared for which in turn gives me peace of mind. I would recommend Glendale to anyone who values care and compassion when looking for a place for their loved one.

Review of Limegrove from S W (Son of Resident) published on 6 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The help from the care home has been a great comfort for the family. There is always a feeling of safety and concern which we find to be a blessing. The staff are friendly, courteous and well trained to give the trust to residents.
It is convenient geographically and the family has been fortunate to have this opportunity to be close to mother. We are invited to visit at times which suit us and the sentiment is one where we feel that the staff are there for us as much as they are for residents.

Overall the help is beyond our hopes for mum's safety and comfort. Thank you to all who make this a comfort to us as a family.

Review of Linwood from Julia V (Cousin of Resident) published on 6 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

My cousin stayed at Linwood for just over 18 months. Her husband was also resident during this time. I found the care and attention of all the staff to be impecable. The care home was always clean + tidy. They hold a lot of activities to keep the residents engaged. I would recommend Linwood to anyone requiring an excellent care home.

Review of Eastlake from Doug H (Son of Resident) published on 1 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My parents have been resident at Eastlake since March 2026 and the staff have been excellent at helping them, (particularly my mother), settle in and make the adjustment from living independently. My father now needs more care that could be provided at home and I am really pleased with how this has been implemented so far. All my interactions with the staff have been really positive.

Review of West Hall from Stephen A (Husband of Resident) published on 30 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Roger was well cared for and safe during his respite stay while I was on holiday in Slovenia. He was very adequately fed and his room was extremely clean and well appointed. This was his first stay in a care home and I think the standards at West Hall helped him to adapt to this unfamiliar, temporary experience. I am not sure that he took sufficient advantage of the activities on offer, as he may have been a bit reticent and needed a bit of coaxing.

Reply from Paula Rifai, Manager at West Hall

Thank you for taking the time to review West Hall and we are pleased you rate our overall experience as excellent. We're delighted Roger enjoyed his stay with us and we hope to welcome Roger back, should care be required going forward. We encourage residents to take part in our wide range of...

Review of Thameside from Karen T (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Many thanks for looking after our Mum so beautifully for the five weeks she was at Thameside for respite care. It was lovely seeing her interact with other residents and taking part in the activities as well. She was very worried about going into a Carehome but the staff made her feel very welcome and were so helpful. Her words to us were "everyone is so nice here". We felt very safe knowing that she was in excellent hands and saw that she was treated with kindness and warmth. The staff were also very friendly and kind to us when we visited as well. If she needs further respite or indeed full time care we would not hesitate to use Thameside again.

Review of Ridgemount from L B (Daughter of Resident) published on 26 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

The staff are lovely, although they do not always respond to Mum's call button promptly, which leaves her desperate for the toilet. The management is delightful - always friendly, approachable and caring. The reception staff and finance person are also caring, personable and understanding. I'm very happy with the standard of cleanliness. I don't witness any meals bu Mum is a little disappointed in that area, and also with activities.
