I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Montrose. Each and every one of them goes above and beyond to meet my mums care needs and the love and support they show not only to my mum but to us as a family is incredible.
My mum always has a smile on her face and is kept safe, entertained and
loved.
The facilities are fantastic and the staff are always doing something to keep the residents occupied and entertained.
The food always smells and looks delicious and the whole home is always spotless and smelling fresh.
I would recommend Montrose Hall to anybody in a heart beat, I would move in myself if I could!

Our Mam joined Lightbowne Hall in April 2024 she never wanted to go into a Care Home but the decision was taken away from us by the Health Professionals at the Hospital. It took Mam a while to settle but she grew to love everyone in there. From the Manager and the Office staff ,Kitchen Staff,Cleaning
Staff,Maintenance,Laundry Staff and especially the Care Staff what a wonderful Home. They looked after her like she was there own .On her last few weeks the Care, attention and the Compassion shown to my Brother and I aswell as Mam was more than we could have imagined, you hear some not so good stories of Care Homes but Lightbowne Hall stands out exemplary as the best of the best.We wish to thank you all, everyone of you for making Mam' s last 19 Months the utmost best they could be and for taking the strain off the Family knowing she was safe, warm, clean and very well fed.We will remember your kindness forever.
Thank you Mary

The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. They can't do enough to facilitate our requests for my mother in laws care. They are open, honest and easily accessible if there is anything we need to discuss with them. Overall, my impression of this home is excellent, and even though it is not the
easiest place to get to for any of our family, we will not move her because we feel she is well cared for and looked after there, only second to being with family.

My mum has been at Millfield for some time. Living far away, it's reassuring that communication + care are exceptional. Regular updates iPad calls emails + communal magazine keep me closely connected to mum's daily life easing the worry of being far away. Activities are outstanding-music, chats, tai
chi, quizzes, visiting guests/speakers -offered with real choice, joy, enthusiasm +connection. Mum enjoys genuine enrichment. Her key worker is warm, patient, + provides loving continuity + care. Even small acts from catering + maintenance staff show how deeply Millfield helps residents feel at home. During illness or outbreaks, communication is immediate + reassuring. When Mum was in hospital, I was informed immediately, supported throughout + mums additional needs implemented with no fuss. Every visit is welcoming, with friendly staff + space to spend time together. Millfield provides dignity, true belonging, offers loving comfort +care- I'm deeply grateful for all they do every day

Dad was cared for senstively and with dignity at the end of his life.
Although frail and unable to move his carers were considerate of his needs.
Their kindness to us, his family, was exemplary.

My Mum recently celebrated her 103rd birthday and the staff pulled out all the stops to make her day enjoyable. The cook came in early to prepare cakes and in the afternoon one of Millfield's regular singers came in to perform for the residents. He sang songs that Mum knew and could join in with,
and we all sang Happy Birthday as Mum was presented with an enormous birthday cake and presents. The previous day the Mayor and Chaddy Owl had been invited to Millfield. Knowing of Mum's birthday, the Mayor had brought a huge bouquet for her. Mum felt very special. My husband and I cannot thank the Millfield staff, and that means all the staff, for looking after Mum during the past three years. They treat her as if she is their favourite granny with kindness and genuine affection. We, as a family, count ourselves very fortunate that Mum was offered a place here. Thank you to every single person who works there for your hard work and dedication.

Mum moved into Montrose in November. We were all worried about it, but the carers are amazing and mum says she's really comfortable. She says she feels safe and at peace, which makes us all so happy. The room is lovely and mum thinks she's still at home it's so cosy. Within the first few weeks she's
been out to a garden centre and watched an Elvis impersonator. Much more than she'd been doing whilst living alone. A big thank you to all the staff!

My mum has now been a resident in Millfield for a year. During this time the staff have gone above and beyond with the care given. The Christmas celebrations have been amazing. Millfield held their Christmas party last weekend and family members were invited. There was excellent food and entertainment
with bingo and carol singers, and of course Santa. During the previous week the care home had a visiting panto group (Jack and the Beanstalk) which my mum said was brilliant. Thank you Millfield!
