Review of Millfield from Veronica W (Niece of Resident) published on 20 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Our Aunt Wendy enjoyed a new lease of life when she came to live at Millfield a couple of years ago, she chose Millfield herself after researching and visiting care homes in the area. She was always busy with activities. The professional care and compassion Wendy and we her family received at the end of her life were wonderful. Thank you to a great team for enriching her life, respecting her individuality. Millfield really is a home from home establishment.

I am keen to write a review as my Auntie who lived at Millfield Care Home died this morning. I don't live locally and in spite of that the care team have gone out of their way to help me stay in touch. I wrote regular emails with photographs to punctuate phone calls. The manager printed off my letters , and personally delivered, read them to my Auntie and provided her with a folder to store the letters and photos, which she had taken the trouble to print at large scale so they could be looked over and shared. In conjunction with this I received a regular newsletter, often with my Auntie featured , enjoying some of the many activities provided.i can say that she was an intelligent woman who found happiness, compassion and company in her later life at Millfield.. thank you.

My aunt has been a resident of Millfield for over 2 years now and I have great peace of mind that she is being well looked after. I live a 6 hour drive from Millfield so I am really grateful for the communication I have with all members of staff from the team leaders to the care manager Kelly and of course Ann-Marie. If I have any concerns then these are always addressed and I am always kept informed.
I have found all the care staff to be extremely helpful and very professional.
There is always activities taking place and I do know they try to encourage the residents to take part as it's nice to be involved and interact with each other.

In general I find Millfield care home to be really good.

Lovely staff at Millfield- gave my dad a big hug when he came back in for respite care. They look after him well, remember what he likes (and doesn't like). We're lucky to have such a good Care home close to us.

A truly remarkable and team of helpful staff from day 1 when Mum first moved in.

Although Mums health has deteriorated over the last few months I am confident Mum is in good hands, I have made good relationships with a number of staff who look after Mum and would like to pay my gratitude to them they know who they are.

As a family we had to make a difficult decision to put dad in a care home in November 2025. We visited the home and were shown round rooms were spotless, residents all seemed happy and staff were all friendly. Dad was given a lovely room and settled in very quickly. What a great relief to the family- he was safe and happy.

Review of Millfield from Mark D (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 6 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Father in Law recently moved into Millfield after many months of deliberation. He has readily accepted this as his new home and appreciates the care and the social interaction which is available with both the other residents and dedicated staff. His own room meets all his requirements in a safe environment and kept spotlessly clean, supported by the excellent catering on site which provides piece of mind to the rest of his family who are able to visit at every opportunity.

Review of Millfield from Margaret B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 27 April 2026 Submitted via Website

My Mum -in-law has lived at Millfield for about two years now. She always tells me how happy she is there and how well she is looked after by a dedicated team in all areas.
The home is kept beautifully fresh and clean throughout, as is her own room. The catering team provide great food in the dining rooms and also in residents' rooms if required.

She enjoys the daily programme of activities, entertainment, trips out, seasonal celebrations and birthday parties which are a key part of living at Millfield and everyone is so caring and friendly.

My mother receives all the care she needs at Hatton Grange. The staff are excellent - all very welcoming to mothers' visitors. I have seen them treat all residents with respect and dignity. We trust the home to have mothers' best interests at heart.

Support staff are also efficient (admin, laundry, etc.)

Review of Israel Sieff Court from A M (Sister of Resident) published on 13 April 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

From the first day my sister came to live at Israel Sieff, I could feel that this was a perfect place for her needs. She was welcomed by every member of staff in all areas. She soon settled in and made friends. She enjoys spending time with others and joins in with activities and trips out to theatres, cafes, markets and thoroughly enjoys these. Israel Sieff is clean, smells nice and is well-maintained. We are all as a family so happy with this place.

My mom has been in Israel Sieff Court for nearly a year. Since my mum has resided here, she has been so much more settled. Also, the level of care has been excellent. Mum really enjoys the food, which is made on the premises. The care staff are more than obliging. My mum is very happy here, and it shows in her wellbeing. I am, and my sister has no regrets of her moving into Israel Sieff.
