Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My friend has mental health issues as well as early Alzhiemer's she can find situations confusing and does not find it easy to maintain personal hygiene. Staff are always attentive and patient with her. She likes to joke and has excellent relationships with the staff who listen to and act on her concerns.
She loves being in the home and is kept safe in a way she could not be within the community. A particular love for her is using the gardens and being able to go out attended. The home is easily accessed by bus and train. Staff ensure she is appropriately dressed and fed.

Godiva Lodge Care Home has been absolutely wonderful in looking after my Nan. From the moment she arrived, the staff have been welcoming, patient, and genuinely caring. They treat her with dignity, make her feel safe, and always take the time to chat with her and make sure she's comfortable.
The home
is clean, well-organised and has a lovely atmosphere. My Nan enjoys the meals, the activities, and the friendly faces around her every day. We've seen such a positive difference in her confidence and wellbeing since she's been there.
What means the most to us is the peace of mind-knowing she is cared for by people who clearly take pride in what they do. I can't thank Godiva Lodge enough for the care and kindness they show.
Highly recommended and truly deserving of 5 stars.
Thank you for looking after my Nan so well.

Since living at Kerria Court my dad has received the best care I could have ever wished for. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. They work so hard but always stay calm and keep their friendly demenor despite what kind of day they might be having. I truly appreciate the support they give me too.
Having a parent with dementia can be hard but they make it easier for both of us. Thank you!

Mom has been here for nearly 6 months now and her transformation has been amazing, unfortunately mom has Alzhiemers and her short term memory is none existent. However due to the amazing staff I can see the activities mom is involved in. From day trips out, to small fun competitions in house to just
simple interaction in the home, mom is well looked after.
She is even starting to put weight on now due to the meals and snacks in-between.
It is sad when our loved one need help and go to residential homes, but I can say this is the best place for mom, apart from the obvious of been safe, she now has wonderful companionship in the form of staff and residents. Thank you.

My mother is a resident in the care home and has been for some time now. The care she receives there is faultless. The staff are amazing and attentive to her needs and fully understand her health issues.
There is always a lovely atmosphere in the home when I visit.
The daily calendar in the home
is full with activities for the residents and all are encouraged to partake.
The home is kept clean, tidy and kept in tip top condition.
The menu's are varied and cater for my mothers needs.
I cannot fault Maple Dene care home and I cannot see my mother being anywhere else. Keep up the amazing work!!

I cannot fault the care and attention of the staff and management - prompt to deal with any concerns I may have, updating me as to my mother's care and needs, and ensuring that my mother is well looked after. There are twice daily activities for the residents and then events to which family and friends
are invited. The musical afternoons are a delight and to see my mum remember the words to songs she would sing along to many years ago makes me so happy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and I am so pleased that I was able to find such a good home (and I use the word home as in a home as well as a care home) for my mum. Thank you all

Every time I visited my brother-in-law, we entered a friendly environment. The staff were very friendly. I had lunch with him a few times, and the food was delicious. His room was light and comfortable, and his daughter had hung pictures on the walls and placed photographs of his family around the room.
He is comfortable there and likes the staff. It is a lovely home, and when leaving, I am assured he is happy and well looked after.

The reason my husband is in Harden Hall is due to me having a seizure and being unable to look after him. He is settled and happy there. The home is homely. The staff are friendly and caring. The food is delicious. I have spent numerous lunch times with him. Any concerns, I have the staff deal with
it straight away. My mind is at rest knowing he is happy there.

I have nothing but praise for Maple Dene, it is the best care home in Birmingham that I have visited. The staff are always warm, welcoming and nothing is 'too much' trouble. The home itself is clean, warm and has a lovely homely feel. The team work hard to make regular improvements all the time including
a new pergola in the garden this summer. There are fantastic activities put on for residents including a chair-based exercise class and staff are always happy to help facilitate exercise programmes prescribed by health professionals. The food looks fantastic. I genuinely can't fault it, the staff all really genuinely care, I'd highly recommend this care home to anyone.

We were so worried about dad beginning his next chapter of his life at 89. He was anxious too. However, the care and reassurance that Bloomfield has shown for dad and the family has been wonderful. We can call at anytime, we still take him out to his 'dementia' club, and we can have privacy in his room
with him, which we have made like home.
I would definitely recommend.

trust that they are doing there but to keep resident and the family happy.

My mom's under pant's keep going missing since January 2025 I've bought in 30 pairs of pant's. All her gift's and clothes in her room are labelled and her name is on everything. She has had three pair of slipper's all went missing. I find the staff all very good but I do think they need more staff as
it quite busy.
