Overall Experience
Madeleine had another excellent open day in july 2026.

The theme this year was Alice in Wonderland. And what an experience. Amazing day. Started with a fab singer that came in and got many up and dancing with classics. Then the food ....what excellent kitchen and cattering, they have to put on such a spread . All done with brilliant themed Wonderland. But the best was the way ALL staff dressed up and got into the party theme. Having a lovely sunny day also helped. But they all excelled themselves, with the effort, happy smiling faces and wanting to please the residents. Thank you brilliant. Mom carnt be in a better place x

Tea Party. The day was brilliant, good fun, well planned + extremely thoughtful. So much hard work was put in by all the staff which resulted in a very happy day. A treat for everyone The singing and dancing and all the costumes made it so much fun a real moral booster. The food was yummy and delightfully arranged like a posh afternoon tea - even crust cut off the finger sandwiches. Well done and thanks so much.

After our mom passed away dad said he was lonely and sad and wanted to be around more people. Bloomfield Court has provided a safe, secure environment for him. We had a couple of issues to start but were soon resolved. The staff are fantastic. They listen and reassure us and are amazing with dad. The food is lovely and dad has no complaints. So glad we chose Bloomfield Court for dads care.

Review of Godiva Lodge from Patrick R (Son of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Had a bit of drama while visiting my Mother yesterday evening. Unusually when I went in to her room she wasn't sat on her bed or chair. She was actually in the bathroom and had locked the door. She was ok but had had an accident due to a stomach upset and was trying to clean any mess up. She did her best and was embarrassed to let anyone see what had happened. Long story short I asked Heman if he had a spare care worker spare to help clean the bathroom and help change my Mum's incontinence pad. Jessica came to help and was fantastic with my Mum. She managed to clean the bathroom and get my Mum cleaned and changed ready for bed without any drama. Jessica is a natural kind hearted care worker, who often go unrecognised for their work. If Jessica is representative of the rest of the staff then this care home deserves high praise. I always find Godiva a nice welcoming place to visit over the five years I have been going.

Review of Godiva Lodge from Claire F (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother has been a resident here for 2 years and our family could not be more grateful for the exceptional care she receives.
From the very beginning, the entire staff has treated her with genuine warmth, dignity, and compassion.
The team is incredibly attentive to her needs, ensuring she is always comfortable and well looked after. Even though the transition to a care home can be difficult, the carers have been patient, kind, and quick to form a warm, trusting bond with her.
The home maintains a peaceful, uplifting atmosphere with engaging things to do.
The meals are excellent, and her room is always kept clean, cozy, and secure.

As a family, we are constantly kept in the loop regarding her health, which gives us absolute peace of mind. Whenever I visit, I am made to feel welcome, and seeing my mother so well cared for is a huge comfort.

Review of Tandy Court from Jackie G (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mum spent the last 11 months of her life at Tandy. She, like many others had Dementia, but she was happy there. The rooms are quite spacious with onsuite wetroom. It's kept clean, & they have a laundry service that on the whole is ok but more care is needed sorting the marked clothes get back to the right resident & woolen jumpers don't get ruined by hot washing/ tumbledrying. The staff are kind , caring & friendly. The meals they provide are excellent plus residents are offered snacks aswell.Management are easy to talk to & help get problems sorted as they arise. There is a lack of activities done & not much stimulation as they sit in chairs for long periods of time if they can't walk independently. A home of its size ideally could have more care staff as there's only 2 on each floor with 1 floater but budget doesn't allow for more. In the final days of my mums life the care staff were amazing, they sat with mum for a little while after I'd left & called me when there was any change.
