I have been visiting my auntie at Millbeck Care Home and I have never seen her looking so happy and content in a long time she has told me that staff are fantastic and treat her with dignity and respect at all times and could not praise them enough. Each time I visit , all staff including management
to housekeepers, make me feel welcome, this gives me peace of mind knowing she is happy and well looked after.

My mum stayed at Wynyard Woods for a few months between July and November 2025.
The home is clean, fresh and to a good standard.
I cannot fault the staff for their on-going commitment and professionalism in providing the very best care and environment for mum to feel safe and looked after.
From
day one, the staff encouraged mum to be a part of the small community and participate in activities where possible. In mum's final days the staff demonstrated true compassion and understanding to ensure a dignified, pain free and respectful end.
I would have no hesitation in placing a loved one there.

Wynyard Woods is an exceptional care home. It is always clean, the staff are lovely: very caring and attentive. Nothing is a trouble. I genuinely couldn't wish for a more pleasant place for my mum to be. The care staff are kind and considerate, and the management are lovely too. Well done the whole
team.

Mother in law was brought in for respite care due to a fall and daughter being admitted to hosp. The staff were very caring to family and mother in law. The home is excellent in all areas. Mother in law has said how caring the staff are and how good the home is and meals are. She has contracted a bad
cough and the doctor was contacted straight away and medication administered imm. The cough improved. We cannot rate the care and all aspects of the home high enough. Top marks.

My mum has been in the home on several occasions for respite care and I have always found the staff to be very friendly and caring.
My mum enjoys her stays and I can feel happy knowing she is well looked after. ]The home itself is beautifully furnished, modern and clean. The only criticism would be
the lovely outdoor area could do with a bit of tender love and care outdoor furniture could do with sprucing up.
Reply from Antony Griffiths, Manager at Skelton CourtThank you for your feedback and rating your Overall Experience as 5-stars. We have added a change of furniture to our homes wish list and do hope this is something we are able to do in the near future. In the meantime, I have asked our Handy Person to spruce up our existing furniture to help improve the space. Thank you again for your feedback which is greatly appreciated. We do hope to see you and Mum again soon! Even if it just for a coffee, cake and catchup, our doors are always open.

From arrival in reception to leaving the staff are so welcoming, and residents are usually busy on activities with the carer. On afternoons they have entertainers coming into the home, as well as monthly tea dances. Music and dance with staff bring these residents back to memories and so much joy you
see in their eyes. I enjoy my weekly visit to Skelton Court very much and feel I'm made welcome as a friend as well as a visitor. Always recommend Skelton Court to family and friends.

My mum has resided at Skelton Court for just over 1 month. The building and her room are just lovely. The building is well maintained and spotlessly clean. The most outstanding feature is the staff. They are all professional and genuinely caring. It really feels like a home. I would not hesitate to
recommend it to anyone. Thank you Skelton Court for looking after my mum so well.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My nana was a resident from around July 2025 until her passing on 26/5/25.
Home: Very clean and tidy at all times, which is no easy task. My nana's room was comfortable, personalised and re-decorated several times during her tenure. The food is varied and good quality; snacks and drinks always offered.
Staff: Over 5 years, we knew every member of staff. All were attentive and caring. Nana was treated with dignity. They knew her personality, her humour, and they loved a joke with her.
Activities and engagement: Staff engage with residents all the time; frequent planned activities from bingo, crafts, baking, movie afternoons, themed parties for Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's etc. Regular visiting entertainment of vary forms.
We would have no hesitation in choosing Kirkley if either of my other grandparents need care. That should speak volumes. We thank Kirkley staff for everything they did, and the love they showed my nana.

I have many experiences with Millbeck Care Home as my mother has been a resident for approximately 18 months now, and I have nothing but praise for every member of staff in the home which I find so much relief, as we have been involved with other homes and not had much luck with them. Millbeck is so
different from all the rest. On a few occasions I have spoken to cares regarding my mum's health, for example in asking if they have noticed a mark on her leg the reply I got was "I have taken a photo this morning and the nurse is coming out to see her today" what more can you ask for anyone. I am due to get my sister moved into Millbeck next week as she has Parkinson's this is the only home I know where she will be looked after like my mum is.

My wife came into Skelton Court in 2023/24 for respite. This was an excellent experience for her with first class care and excellent food and accommodation. This enables me to get some well earned rest from being a full time carer. Skelton Court became my second home because it was only 500 metres away
from my home and I could visit her at anytime. I used to have meals with her and spent hours with her.
