Savile Park

from Wendy B (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mother was recently in Savile Park for a fortnight of respite care. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. She was poorly going in but by the end of the two weeks had greatly improved, had been eating regular meals, and had got into a good daily routine. We were very pleased with
her progress and would recommend Savile Park to anyone looking for somewhere for care.

The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

from Gill M (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The manager, a heartfelt thank you to you and your amazing team at The Manor House, Roundhay. Moving Mum at 100 wasn't easy, but from the moment she arrived, we knew she was in safe hands. Her mood lifted almost instantly, and your thoughtful photo the next day really reassured us.
Her room is bright
and spacious with a gorgeous garden view, and the whole home has a warm, welcoming feel. Every staff member is friendly and nothing's too much trouble. Special mention to Abby at reception, her cheerful smile always lights up the day. The food looks fantastic, and the dining room could rival any hotel. It's a joy to visit.

Reply from Clare Erskine, Home Manager at The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

Thank you so much for your beautiful compliment and we are so pleased that you feel happy and reassured that mum is settling well with us. She is a fantastic lady, and we are so lucky that you chose us to care for mum, from the very first day her lovely smile and great personality shone through. As you say mum has settled so well with us and it's lovely to see her enjoy our beautiful home and be surrounded by a team who genuinely adore her. Thank you for all your fabulous compliments and I will ensure to share with the whole team as they will certainly feel very proud to receive such outstanding praise.

My brother has been in Halcyon Court since Nov 24. He had learning difficulties & Alzheimer's. From day one, he received loving professional care. He was given time to settle in and thrived there. However, he reached end of life care. He was received back from hosptial again with tender care. His last
days were spent in comfort and amongst friends. As a family grieving, we to were cared for with exemplary levels of concern as well as loving care.

Unfortunately, my wife needed emergency care because I required the immediate fitting of a pacemaker. My wife was very pleased that a respite bed was available for her. She had suffered for many years from Parkinson's so her needs were many. I cannot speak more highly of the care and love she received
form all the staff during her time here until her death on 12th July 2025. Wetherby Manor is an exceptional organisation and is a credit to the Anchor Brand.

The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

from Jenny H (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The Manager and all her staff have been so welcoming and kind. When we decided to move my very elderly mother to Roundhay Manor I had some reservation because of her age and condition! How wrong was I! She settled in immediately. Since moving she's had her hair, nails and a pedicure done. The kindness
of the staff is second to none, thank you.
Ps they also have a bar and mums favourite tipple is a Baileys!!!

Reply from Clare Erskine, Home Manager at The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

We would like to thank you for writing such a beautiful review of our care home. We totally understood that the move from another care home was a worry, but through gentle support we are so happy that your lovely mum has settled so well with us. She is fabulous and its has been so heart warming to see how quickly and easily she adjusted to living in our home. Mum can enjoy our beautiful environment and compassionate care, and I really hope this has given the family some comfort and reassurance too. I know the home team are so delighted to be able to support mum, as she is the most amazing and wonderful lady. I cant thank you enough for trusting us to care for your mum and I will ensure that I pass on your lovely compliments to the staff team.

My mum sadly had a very short time at Anchor Wharfeside. Shortly after moving into her lovely room her health seriously deteriorated. I cannot praise the staff more for their care, professionalism, support and compassion whilst dealing with 2 separate emergencies. The carers were straight away alerted
to my mums symptoms and acted quickly and appropriately. Although we had a very short experience I know had my mum had the time to settle in she would've be taken great care of and been very happy. It's a beautiful place in a gorgeous location and I'm just sorry she didn't have the chance to enjoy some time there in better health. Sadly she passed away earlier this week. Thank you all at Wharfeside who were in some way involved in looking after my mum. We will always be grateful.

Day in and day out, the home is alive with activity. The staff treat the residents with dignity, respect

I'm very impressed with Ashcroft Care Home. My Dad has been a resident there for two and half years and is extremely well looked after and cared for. All the staff and management are incredible. They all love my Dad and treat him with respect and dignity. He has formed very positive friendships with
several of the care team as well as some of the residents. He has a lovely, bright room and has his personal things that matter to him around him. The main thing for me is that my Dad is safe, secure and looked after.

My mum recently moved into Mill View and was very unsure and nervous after losing my dad back in January this year. They have gone above and beyond to help her settle into the home and she is really thriving. She is joining in on all activities and it is a real pleasure to visit her as she is so upbeat
and is really enjoying the company and the staff are all amazing and friendly and really helpful. It has taken so much pressure off the rest of the family as my mum was getting so depressed and lonely and we were all worried she would go on a down hill spiral. Thank you to all the staff and management.

Mum is cared for with great sensitivity. I feel that her individuality is respected and valued. Mum is a very sociable person but dementia has impacted on her ability to communicate. Nevertheless she is always included in activities and made to feel a part of the Mill View family. There is always something
going on to stimulate including lots of fun exercise activities such as tin can alley. Mum loves to walk and she really enjoys access to a lovely garden. The staff are friendly and I appreciate how they care for mum with humour, tenderness and respect.
