The staff are very friendly and helpful there seems to be more staff on shifts which seems to have taken pressures off which is good. The home is clean and tidy and my mum enjoys the activities and singers and would like more to be available if possible. Overall we are happy with the experience at Oakwood
Grange.

Access to the home is restricted and requires the team to allow entry (good). While my father is now bed-bound he has regular visit/support from the team also visits by staff residents. The team provide excellent service to ensure my father is comfortable and safe. I visit on a regular basis and have
no concerns about welfare and care. Thank you.

The home is an excellent home where the care delivered is to an excellent standard. Management are so approachable and are really caring both to the residents and relatives. During times of distress management and staff go the extra mile to support and reassure relatives. It is like a big family where
you feel the care & calm environment. I am really chose Dearne Hall. Thank you so much.

My nanna has been a resident of Oakwood Grange for nearly 3 years now. The care and love she receives is outstanding. We know that she is safe, cared for & loved to the best that we could want for her. I recommend this home to everyone I know, even people I don't know. I will be forever thankful to
the staff at Oakwood Grange for giving my nanna the care that I couldn't anymore.

Oakwood Grange care home is a lovely place, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, my mum has been living here over 12 months and is 100% better, she has gained weight, she gets on well with all of the staff and residents. The only thing would be activities and days out should be more frequent,
other than that everything is 100%.

Our mother has been a resident for a short period at Prior Bank, and both myself and my sister have been very grateful for the care mum is receiving and the support we have both had during this very emotional transition period of our mum moving from her home to full time care.
All the staff we have

Mum has been in Herries Lodge for almost 3 years. I have always found it spotlessly clean, and the staff are all so friendly and attentive to residents' needs. Family are wonderful and made to feel included. Activities are regular, and an itinerary is on display weekly with entertainment, singers, etc.
Residents
are encouraged to make their room personal and familiar with their own belongings, pictures, photos, ornaments, etc., and residents are treated as individuals.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has been living at Hatfield House since May 2020 and it really has become "home."
It was extremely difficult making the decision for her to go into full time care as I have had a lot of experience visiting care homes, not all positive, but her being a safeguarding risk made it in her best interests.
I
needn't have worried as she has been cared for better than I could've hoped for. In 6 years I have never had a problem.
Should she have any medical issues they are spotted straight away as staff are very vigilant and consistency of staff means they know her well and spot any changes. The team leader informs me and handles everything.
The home is always very clean, does not smell and the food is lovely (I have tried it).
I feel very comfortable when visiting thanks to the staff - they are amazing and treat my Mum with care, respect, patience and understanding. I never worry when I leave as she is in the best possible hands.

Mum has been bedbound for a long time. The dementia has worsened and she is sometimes very disengaged. Nevertheless, all the care (and auxiliary) staff I have met try their very best to make Mum feel safe and well cared for. They are cheerful, chatty and put resident care at the front their priorities.
The management are approachable, helpful and reassuring. I feel very confident leaving Mum in their care.

My mum has been in Hatfield House for 18 months now. She is happy there. All the staff are very caring from the cook to the managers.
The carers are very caring, respectful and attend to all my mums needs with privacy and dignity.
They inform me of any issues my mum may have and all staff are approachable
if I need to talk to them about anything.
Most of all they make my mum feel comfortable just like living at hme.

Hatfield House

My marks on the care home reflect the fact that recently it had been necessary for the home to employ agency staff in order to implement a rota for staff.
My concern is that I have witnessed disinterest in the agency staff who have stood around leaving the regular staff under pressure to care for the
residents.
This does seem to have improved over the last couple of weeks.
However agency staff is a poor use of resources as it is an expensive option and they are not aware of residents needs.
I am aware the manager is currently on leave, but would question why an effective rotation was not in place and the gap in staffing would indicate that staff must have been working more hours than they should to plug the gaps which could account for high staff turnover and stress.
My only other concern is lack of activities but again this is improving.
Reply from Jacqueline Van Zandt, District Manager at Hatfield HouseThank you for taking the time to review Hatfield House and for the opportunity to previously discuss the matters raised in person. Recruitment has been reviewed and we are onboarding full time and part time colleagues, once required checks have been completed. We are working with our current team to support their wellbeing in line with Anchor's values. Our staffing is calculated using a dependency tool to ensure the best care is always provided. The use of agency staff is temporary to ensure safe care whilst permanent team members are recruited. We're always happy to discuss feedback at a mutually convenient time.

Having lived in her own home until the age of 104 my mother's mobility went so we needed to find residential care. We were very impressed with Prior Bank because it very much puts the resident's needs, daily routine and well-being at the heart of what they do. My mother is comfortable and has settled
in well. The staff are very kind, friendly, caring and efficient and she seems to have taken on a new lease of life. We are very grateful to all the staff at Prior Bank for making what could've been a very difficult transition as comfortable and as worry free as possible. Thank you

Since my mum has been in Herries Lodge, she has been so happy, as are we as her family. The care which mum recieves is excellent. The staff are very kind and thoughtful to us and mum. We do not worry at all and feel she is safe there. The activities and entertainment are great and mum really enjoys
it. She is clean and washed most of the time, the times where she has been left in her pj's is only because mum has insisted, she calls it her dovet day! The only issue I have is the smell of urine which I know cannot be helped but I wonder if the carpets could be washed on a regular basis professionally.
Reply from Sarah Burley, Manager at Herries LodgeThank you for taking the time to review Herries Lodge and we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as excellent. We appreciate your kind feedback regarding our home and our team, which I will pass on to them. At Herries Lodge, we aim to provide the best care suited to each person's interests and preferences. All active steps are being taken to eliminate the odour the best we can, and extra cleaning measures are in place. One of our residents is due to move to another care environment more suited to their individual needs soon. Once this has taken place, we're confident that this issue will be resolved. We're always happy to discuss feedback about all aspects of Herries Lodge.

I had a very positive experience with this care home. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring toward the residents. It's clear that they take the time to get to know everyone and provide support with kindness and patience.

The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and

create a comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike. Everything feels organised and thoughtfully managed, which really adds to the sense of reassurance when visiting.

Overall, it's a lovely place with a warm atmosphere. The team do a wonderful job of making residents feel safe, respected, and well cared for. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a supportive and pleasant environment for their loved ones.

My Mother in Law moved to Prior Bank in November from assisted living. Since then, she has improved with her walking, has put on weight and is eating well. She joins in the activities and is very happy and settled. Prior Bank has a very welcoming feel about it and nothing is too much trouble. We
are informed of any new health issues promptly and updated regularly on her existing ones. The staff are excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
