The home itself is clean and tidy , it is decorated tastefully. Public areas and residents rooms are lovely. The staff are excellent and show a high level of care and attention. They are friendly and attentive to the residents and to the relatives. I am relaxed knowing my mum is getting great care.

I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone thinking of looking to place a loved one and will definitely return should the time come that my mum has to return for either temporary or permanent care.

Outstanding Care, Kindness and an Amazing Team

I cannot speak highly enough of Hatfield House Care Home. Every time I visit my friend, I am made to feel so welcome, and the care, kindness and professionalism I see from everyone really stand out.

I have had some fantastic interactions with the management team, particularly Tanya, James and Charlotte, who genuinely go above and beyond. They are approachable, friendly, caring and always willing to listen. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and they always take the time to answer questions and offer help whenever it is needed.

James especially stands out in such a positive way. Whenever I have a question or something I need help with, he is always happy to take the time to listen and make sure I get the answers I need. His approach is fantastic, and you can clearly see that he genuinely cares about the residents and the people around them.

Our family can't thank the wonderful people at Dearn Hall for the care and love given to our beloved Mum Barbara. From the moment she arrived there she was at home. We really feel Mum was seen, and heard, even though she found it difficult to communicate. The family want to say a special thank you to Julie, who has been a brilliant advocate for our mum and an amazing support to us, her family.

The staff of Prior Bank are always cheerful, kind and helpful and, most importantly, genuinely interested in the residents. They have been the key to helping my Mum settle into the home and have really persevered to get to know her. They have also helped me to feel confident and at ease with her move. There is a very homely, personal feel to the home, which was one if the main reasons we chose it. She really likes her lovely room and the food is very good. She has got back to a healthier weight and a great deal of the anxiety she was exhibiting before moving in has lifted. I am very grateful and relieved that we made the decision for her to move to Prior Bank at a very difficult time. I have recommended the home to numerous people who are considering residential care options for their relatives.

Mum is really content at Prior Bank and that's a really important thing, both for her and for her family. The staff and management are always helpful. I would happily recommend the care and support given.

My great auntie stayed here on respite after a fall. She loved staying staff made her feel so welcome. And she enjoyed chatting to other residents. 10/10 would recommend it staff were brilliant with her recovery

My mother has been a resident for just a few weeks and is settling in nicely. The staff are excellent and provide very good care.

There are lots of different activities including singers coming in, quiz nights , being taken on a cycle ride ( she wasn't expected to pedal !) and walks.

The food is plentiful and of a good standard - her only gripe is that they get fed TOO much - which is not a concern.

Overall - a great care home .

I have been at the above home 4 months and at first was cross with my family for bringing me here. But there has been a big change. I find the staff here are top notch. I can have a laugh with them and being the age I am can be grumpy. I would like to think that all my age group feel the same if not I don't know what they want. Thank you girls for your care.

My mum went into care 8 months ago, following a diagnosis of dementia. She was also physically unwell. The staff at the home were amazing. I am convinced that without all the input my mum wouldn't be here now. From Laura on reception, care staff, laundry, caterers and cleaners, they all show empathy, kindness, patience and total care. My only concern for everyone in the home is the heat. The staff do their utmost to care even though I have seen them wilting. I am sure air con would be of great benefit through these prolonged hot summers. Praise to all the staff.

All staff are lovely and caring all areas are kept immaculately clean always has a friendly and homely feel to it. I would definitely this place to anyone it's been a really god send to our family, nothing is too much trouble for them.

Everyone is welcoming, we've been encouraged to bring familiar things in. Small requests to help him settle have been sorted with no problems.

Hatfield House has been my dad's home for the last 5 years and my mum also lived there before passing away 5 years ago . During that time Tanya and the team have been wonderful - professional, caring and attentive. The love and care provided to my dad is brilliant. Everyone is aware of my dad's routine and his likes and dislikes and nothing is ever too much trouble. Over the last 6 months there has been significant staff change; however I believe that staffing is now much more settled. It is lovely to have Tanya the manager back and there have been some excellent appointments to management (this is taking nothing away at all from those who were in those posts previously). Following a recent incident involving my dad, James and the team investigated this thoroughly, kept me updated throughout and provided me with next steps at every stage which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend Hatfield House and couldn't think of a better place for my dad. Thank you everyone!

I cannot give enough praise about the staff at Herries Lodge. The love and care they have given to my mum goes above and beyond. The hugs, smiles, conversations, dementia expertise, diet and among many other attributes are given without instruction or prompt. They have allowed mum to be free to be herself guided her when needed, danced with her and sang her favourite songs. They know her. For her family the staff have guided us through the emotional rollercoaster and enabled us to become her children again and not carers. Herries lodge is 5 Star accomodation, the garden is beautiful. It's clean. The food is great too!

I am very happy with mum's care the home is always clean and tidy staff are very friendly and accommodating, mum seems to be settled well, mum enjoys the meal and enjoys the singer and entertainment, the rooms are spacious with an ensuite.

The only improvement which would help a lot in the current heat wave is air conditioning built-in; the few mobile air con. units are not very effective.
