I would like to thank the wonderful team at Oakwood Grange Care Home for the care they gave to my Grandad, Ken, during his time with you.
Every member of staff treated him with genuine kindness, patience, and respect. You took the time to get to know him, talk with him, and make him feel comfortable and valued. and always with dignity, reassurance, and warmth.
You cared for us as a family just as thoughtfully. You kept us informed, welcomed us every time we visited, and supported us with compassion during the most difficult moments. The way you handled everything around Grandad's passing was calm, respectful, and deeply appreciated.
Oakwood Grange is filled with people who truly care, and I will always be grateful for the comfort and kindness you gave Grandad, and the support you gave us all as a family.

Review of Hatfield House from Claire A (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Hatfield House has been my dad's home for the last 5 years and my mum also lived there before passing away 5 years ago . During that time Tanya and the team have been wonderful - professional, caring and attentive. The love and care provided to my dad is brilliant. Everyone is aware of my dad's routine and his likes and dislikes and nothing is ever too much trouble. Over the last 6 months there has been significant staff change; however I believe that staffing is now much more settled. It is lovely to have Tanya the manager back and there have been some excellent appointments to management (this is taking nothing away at all from those who were in those posts previously). Following a recent incident involving my dad, James and the team investigated this thoroughly, kept me updated throughout and provided me with next steps at every stage which I greatly appreciated. I would recommend Hatfield House and couldn't think of a better place for my dad. Thank you everyone!

Review of Herries Lodge from Kathryn A (Daughter of Resident) published on 16 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I cannot give enough praise about the staff at Herries Lodge. The love and care they have given to my mum goes above and beyond. The hugs, smiles, conversations, dementia expertise, diet and among many other attributes are given without instruction or prompt. They have allowed mum to be free to be herself guided her when needed, danced with her and sang her favourite songs. They know her. For her family the staff have guided us through the emotional rollercoaster and enabled us to become her children again and not carers. Herries lodge is 5 Star accomodation, the garden is beautiful. It's clean. The food is great too!

Review of Hatfield House from P E (Son of Resident) published on 15 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
The staff at all levels do their very best to look after the residents and so i would not ever take my mother elsewhere - Hatfield House Care Home is the best in my opinion.
It's easy to communicate with the manager, the deputy managers, supervisors and care staff generally - this means I have added confidence in how my mum is looked after.

The only improvement which would help a lot in the current heat wave is air conditioning built-in; the few mobile air con. units are not very effective.

Since my mum has been at Hatfield House the family can relax knowing that she is being cared for in every way. The staff are friendly, caring, respectful and treat residents well. They know them, making sure all their individual needs are met. The team leaders make sure relatives are informed of any changes with care plans or if any outside medical professionals are involved with the residents care. All staff are approachable, they are helpful and respectful. Some go above and beyond in caring for our loved ones.

Review of Dearne Hall from Gary M (Son of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Dearne Hall is a lovely care home. My mother has been here for nearly eighteen months. She settled in very well due the friendliness and care of ALL the staff. They look after her very well and with her dementia they know the things she likes and dislikes. There are weekly activities and trips out which my mother lives. She has made some great friends.

Dearne Hall is a very good care home with dedicated staff from top to bottom. It's the perfect place for my mother

My Mum is very happy here after 2 months at Prior Bank. The staff are really friendly and helpful and Mum says they can't do enough for her.

We have had some inevitable teething troubles due to being in a different situation but these have been dealt with well.

My dad stayed at Prior Bank for two weeks respite care. He has moderate Alzheimer's. The staff were lovely, very caring and didn't mind our many calls! Dad ate delicious food and was well cared for and we felt happy that he was happy and safe. He said his bed was better than at home!

I did not rate activities because my dad couldn't remember what he'd done but said he'd had a lovely time!

I put my wife in Prior Bank 5yrs ago in July. At the time she was in such a poor state of health I thought she would not see following xmas.

Allthough her condition ,alzeimers dementia, dictates she is unable to do anything for herself the management, support workers ,carers etc, led by Simone are instrumental in her being happy and having a quality of life which could not be bettered.

Review of Dearne Hall from Carol P (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My mum lived at Dearne Hall for the last 3 years of her life. She had nothing but praise for all the staff and care, kindness and fun she received. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything she needed or wanted was available for her. The home is very clean and beautiful surroundings. Meals are plentiful and she enjoyed most of them. There is a varied social programme for the residents, visiting entertainers, arts and crafts, quizzes, and exercise sessions. I can't praise the medical and nursing care given to her, especially during the later stages of her life.

Review of Prior Bank from Jane P (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
After caring for my dad for many years in our home it was incredibly difficult to accept that he needed 24 hour care due to his worsening dementia. I had previously visited a friend in Prior Bank and after making enquiries with other friends Prior Bank was regularly mentioned and recommended.
From our first visit we were made to feel incredibly welcome and every effort was made to provide a welcoming comfortable room and environment for my dad.
Dad has settled really well and I am always impressed by the quality and kindness of the carers and team leaders and the cleanliness of his room and the home in general.
Any issues are always dealt with quickly and efficiently by the management team and there has been excellent liaison with the loca GP and I am always kept up to date with any issues.

In addition to the care provided to my dad I have also received genuine support from all the staff during an emotional period for me.

Care home is very welcoming and friendly. Staff are very attentive and professional and put the needs of resident's first. The services on offer are great, a weekly hairdresser, chiropodist, opticians. GPs are also on hand for any primary medical needs. The rooms are clean, comfortable and practical.

The staff are very friendly and helpful there seems to be more staff on shifts which seems to have taken pressures off which is good. The home is clean and tidy and my mum enjoys the activities and singers and would like more to be available if possible. Overall we are happy with the experience at Oakwood Grange.
