Anchor's Prior Bank in Sheffield is close to green spaces such as Endcliffe Park and Sheffield Botanical Gardens. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 32 individuals in homely and comfortable, single en-suite rooms.   

Anchor work with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. They are specialists in dementia care and provide on-going training for care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice. Anchor get to know customers, build relationships and ensure all aspects of the service are provided at the highest level.

My mother was made most welcome when she came to the home. She has joined in lots of activities. Due to her dementia, I am unable to obtain my mother's opinions but my impressions are that every member of staff I have met has excellent empathy with the residents and are alert to their needs.
The home appears to be well staffed and an active programme of renovation and improvement reflects a committed and effective management.

I think the staff are friendly and value the positive aspects of my grandma's personality. Staff seem to have connected with my grandma's mischievous side and it is nice to be reminded of that side of her. She seems happy here - even though she (inaccurately) tells me that she never leaves her room.

My brother has only been a resident for a short time so these are the points I have experienced.
His welcome and introduction gave him a pleasurable view of his new home which gave confidence and reassurance.
Staff have always responded to his needs.
His room has been made personal and inviting.
As a sister, I am exceptionally happy with all his care.

It was my mothers 100th birthday party at the home for my mother's family. The entertainment co-ordinator and the chef went out of their way to be helpful as were other members of staff. The whole event went fantastically well because of this help. As a result, my mother and the family had a great time throughout, enjoyed by all. Thank you very much.
