My Mum was a new resident in October 25. The staff, from management through, have been fabulous. The food is excellent and Mum is always helped when she's eating. The activities are engaging and keep Mum mobile. All in all a great decision to send her to Prior Bank.

My mum is a long term resident at Prior Bank and I believe that the staff and management make a great team.Their care and kindness are second to none I have the utmost confidence in them. Prior Bank is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are considerate and friendly to residents and relatives alike. Mum certainly enjoys the home cooked food. Unfortunately she's now not able to take part in the activities provided
but she did enjoy them when she was able. She always enjoys the musical entertainment given by various visiting singers and musicians. I have in the past recommended Prior Bank to a friend who was looking for care and I would not hesitate to do so again.

We are very pleased with my partner's mother's experience. We kept her at home as long as possible, with support from a home-care service. However, as her dementia progressed, she became depressed and was reluctant to get out of bed or engage with visitors. Since coming to Prior Bank, she has brightened up considerably, is much more mobile and alert and seems content. She engages with staff and other residents, and generally talks positively about the care. We visit several times a week and see many kind interactions between staff and residents.
The decor at the home could be improved - the small sitting room looks especially neglected: machinery needs screening and more cupboard space is needed to tidy away the activities.
Incontinence products are stacked in clients' bedrooms in cardboard boxes: unsightly and not respectful. More cupboards and more frequent ordering could improve this.

Thank you for taking the time to review Prior Bank and we are pleased you rate our staff as excellent. We're pleased your partner's mother is happily settled with us and is enjoying activities. We appreciate you taking the time to discuss some of the issues raised directly. We are currently updating some areas of our home which will continue. Incontinence products are delivered via the NHS where we're unable to change frequency, however these are stored away where possible. Our residents decided how our corridors are decorated where, in addition to football memorabilia, we have displays reflecting gardening, music, haberdashery and other interests. We were also happy to support your partner's mother's room is decorated to ensure she feels at home in our care. I'm always happy to discuss all aspects of care and day-to-day life at Prior Bank.

The staff at Prior Bank are brilliant! They are kind, caring, hard-working and committed to treating the residents with compassion and dignity. The food looks tasty and meal times are a real social highlight for the residents. Staff make an effort to celebrate special days at every opportunity.
A highlight for us was the pastor (who is also a shift leader). He led church services every week, and was amazing when my mother-in -law passed away - he led the funeral (which was lovely because he knew her well) and was a great comfort to us all.

Really can't say how good Prior Bank is. The kind and caring staff and management at PB have really helped mum settle in so quickly, and helped us feel we made the right decision when the time came and mum couldn't live on her own anymore. She has only been there since February and she has made some new friends and gets on really well with the staff. Plenty of varied activities for residents. Mum joins in with the activities regularly. Good to have a quiet lounge for when residents need a break from the every day hustle & bustle. Also nice for visitors to sit and chat quietly. As for PB itself the staff are amazing, the cleanliness levels are excellent, rooms are well kept. Cannot praise the staff enough. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending PB to anybody.

My mother has been at Priot Bank for over 18 months now. She is very happy. I feel really blessed that she is at Prior Bank. It gives me a peace of mind when I am not with my mum.

All the staff at Prior Bank care home are always helpful and friendly. I feel I can approach them and talk to them about anything that may be concerning me. Similarly, they will get in touch if there is anything they need to talk to me about. They were especially helpful on my mum's 90th birthday last November, providing sandwiches and drinks in the quiet room.

We were very anxious about my mother coming to Prior Bank as she had always said that she didn't want to go into a care home. We were very anxious about my mother coming to Prior Bank as she had always said that she didn't want to go into a care home. However, as her Alzheimer's progressed, it proved impossible to care for her safely at home. We live in the next street to her old house & visited her every day, and we had carers coming in every lunchtime, but even with that level of support it was becoming unsafe once my mother started wandering out of the house at odd times.
So we were nervous about her coming to Prior Bank and feared that she would hate it. In fact she has settled in really well, and the staff are clearly fond of her. She clearly enjoys having people around all the time, and - to our great surprise - she has even taken to joining in with communal activities of the sort that she would have probably turned her nose up at a couple of years ago (bingo, singing along with crooning songs etc).
So we were nervous about her coming to Prior Bank and feared that she would hate it. In fact she has settled in really well, and the staff are clearly fond of her. She clearly enjoys having people around all the time, and - to our great surprise - she has even taken to joining in with communal activities of the sort that she would have probably turned her nose up at a couple of years ago (bingo, singing along with crooning songs etc).
So very happy indeed, and it is a great relief that the staff are now responsible for her care.

Staff are always friendly and helpful, kind and caring towards Mum. My daughter and I were invited to the Christmas day dinner which was very nice. Mum's room is nice and bright and cheerful. She is looking forward to doing some gardening soon.

I'm really pleased how quickly my mum has settled in she seems more relaxed, clean, warm and well-fed. The thing for me is I know she's very safe and I really enjoy watching her on social media when she's being entertained with all the different entertainers that go into the home. When she first went in, she wasn't eating a lot but now she's eating well. All the staff are very friendly and interact with all the residents and all the families that come to visit. As my mother has early-onset dementia and my father has recently been diagnosed with cancer, living at home has become untenable. As a family, we needed them to be somewhere where we knew that they would be safe and cared for. Prior Bank has become that place. It's close to their home and close to us, as a family, to visit easily.
Although it's fair to say, that my mother has found it harder to settle and to accept the situation, the staff have done everything they can to try to help both of them. They have been very accommodating, and only want what's best for them both. We are very happy with the home and hope that both Mum and Dad will both realise that they are in the best place for them.

I'm always so impressed by the friendliness of all the staff. Whatever time of day I turn up they are always welcoming. Dad has been well looked after and the home has accommodated any requests we've made. Highly recommended.
