Since lockdown, I've been kept up to date on Mum's progress. I have every confidence in the team at Prior Bank. In challenging times they've looked after Mum, kept me up to date regularly and now have the app that lets us stay in touch. Staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble. And I can see
how much the team care for Mum.

All the staff are very helpful when we telephone. They understand dementia and care for all of Dad's needs. Dad did not understand the "window visit" and I really hope we can have an indoor visit again soon.

Mum has only been at Prior Bank for a short while but so far, we have been very impressed with the care, support and dignity that the staff have shown towards Mum and the family. From the home manager through to the admin team and care workers, they have shown care and professionalism and I have already

I find the main body of staff to be welcoming, caring and professional with most of them prepared to go the extra mile. They make a huge effort to mark celebration times like Christmas and work hard to provide entertainment. I am treated with care and kindness and my phone enquiries over lockdown have
always been treated with tact, consideration and honesty; vital to me during the lockdown. Food and beverages are very good, time and care is spent helping the less able residents to eat - could do with smaller cutlery. My only criticism is that the lounge is not large enough to seat everyone comfortably but that is the nature of the building. Well done everyone!

This home is what it says home to me. I have worked in care homes but not like this one. You don't see people crying because they cannot go to the toilet. You come first here and it is important for them to keep you happy. I paint whenever I want too. They provide every kind of pastime, puzzles and
help to make you happy. I don't feel consumed by routine, it's a bit like a holiday home; do what pleases you.

My husband feels settled at Prior Bank. Management and staff are kind to the residents as well as relatives. The food is good and nutritious. The room is small. I would like to see more personal attention to people with mental health problems.

My mum is very happy and settled at Prior Bank. She's made good friends, they do many activities, the staff are very kind and helpful. Mum is always well presented, nice and clean, her clothes are well-organised, mum has her hair done by the hairdresser every week.
Any issues I've had have been resolved
straight away by management. I find Prior Bank to be a very caring environment.

Having had a bad experience in a previous care home, my father arrived at Prior Bank not expecting to like it. I cannot praise the staff enough for how they handled the situation and helped him to settle in and gain his trust. His wife of 64 years passed away within only a few weeks of him arriving,
and the support that he received was fantastic.
My father does not have dementia but felt unable to look after himself at home safely. He is very happily settled in, having been there for four months now, and enjoys the food, chatting to everyone and anyone who will listen, and joining in with the activities when he feels like it. I am able to go away on holiday knowing that he is well cared for, something that I was unable to do when I was his carer. Thank you to every member of staff at Prior Bank, and for your lovely smiling faces when we visit Dad, you are always so friendly and welcoming to us too.

My Dad has been living at Prior Bank since last December and arrived at a point where he had accepted that he could no longer cope in the sheltered housing setting he previously occupied. I had read and heard good things about Prior Bank and was delighted when they had a room free to take him. My initial
impressions on visiting and then when he first arrived were of an exceptionally friendly, caring and committed team of people who would do all they could to make residents lives as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Given that many are struggling with various stages of dementia (now including my Dad) this is often not easy, but the cheerfulness of all staff is fantastic. Dad is clearly very happy to be there, still enjoys the excellent food he is given and where possible joins in with the many activities provided to brighten up residents' days. This is a home where complete professionalism but also a huge amount of human warmth and understanding underpin the treatment of residents.

My parents have been residents at Prior Bank for the past few months. My parents have different individual care needs as my father has dementia and my mother is more able but is frail. Our family are very impressed with the care mum and dad are receiving, Prior Bank has a lovely homely and welcoming
atmosphere and the staff go out of their way to meet the needs of all their residents. There are lots of activities and outings on offer for those who want to join in and also quiet spaces and lovely outdoor areas for residents to spend time with their friends and families, or do their own thing with carers on hand when needed. There is an ethos of genuine care and respect for residents and their families throughout the staff team and staff always have time to talk with us about mum and dad`s care and wellbeing.

I have always been very happy with the care provided at Prior Bank - firstly when my mother was in for 10 years previously - she was very happy there and currently, my sister-in-law is a resident. The home is always clean and bright. The food is excellent and the staff always very helpful and caring.

Mother feels settled and comfortable. She very much likes her room and is grateful that staff respect her privacy. (She prefers to read rather than socialise).

My father has lived at Prior Bank for the last 20 months and is extremely happy there. The staff are absolutely outstanding. They are totally professional, extremely caring and treat the residents with the utmost respect. Nothing is too much trouble for them. There is a good family atmosphere within
this home. My father enjoys and benefits from the weekly Tai Chi classes and also enjoys the entertainment. My father has recently been ill and the backup service from the GP is also excellent and extremely responsive. I'm so glad we chose Prior Bank as my father is very happy and well cared for. This has, I feel, extended both his length and the quality of his life.

My father was in Prior Bank for respite care initially. He was given the utmost care, dignity and respect. The staff were prepared to assist him and relatives with anything they could. Unfortunately, my father passed away whilst in their care. Again the staff worked tirelessly to comfort my father and
help in any way they could to make the final stages of his life as professional and caring as they could. Would HIGHLY recommend to others.

Mum was admitted for respite care after a fall in her sheltered accommodation. Staff have been kindness itself and helped her to settle. She is now staying permanently and we are delighted with her care to date. At 98 any move has the potential to be traumatic, but every member of staff has worked hard
to minimise this. She is joining in the activities and making new friends. We would recommend Prior Bank to anyone who has a frail elderly relative.
