When I visited Landemere I said it has a nice feeling, mum moved 2 mths ago and settled really well. I think this is due to staff being kind, caring and friendly. The meals are amazing, the home is clean and well maintained. Family and friends are made to feel welcome. I visit mum daily and can see
mum looks well and happy. She’s got nice relationships with the staff that care for her, when visitors ask how she likes living here she says its like “home from home”. Things are not always perfect but on the whole its really good. It all goes back to that "nice feeling when you walk in”.

My mum moved to Landemere July 2025 after ill health. She'd had some years of carers and family looking after her at home but still felt lonely and wanted company, people to interact with on a daily basis.
Our family helped my mum to visit a few care homes but the moment my mum walked into Landemere
she said it 'felt like home'.
All the staff made my mum feel welcome, and residents made an effort to talk to my mum on that visit.
It took a few weeks for mum to settle in but now there's a routine, activities daily and my mum as made a few friends but already has a best friend that she regularly chats with.
My family are so happy we don't have to worry about my mum getting medication or meals anymore and that she's in the safe hands of lovely caring staff.
Our mum gets regular visits and as all her needs catered for.

I cannot express how delighted I am in recommending this care home. The love and care given to all the residents is exemplary. I have never heard a harsh word from any of the staff. I see lots of love and hugs dished out to each and every resident, along with lots and lots of laughs and encouragement.
I have noticed the staff take time to explain and calm residents when using the lifting aid or any other processes they carry out. The rooms are comfortable, and everywhere is very clean.

Dad initially went into heathervale for respite when mum wasn't well. Unfortunately her health declined very quickly and he had only been in there a week when she passed away. As dad has dementia it was a very traumatic time for us all. Despite that, he settled into life in heathervale very well. All
the staff have been very supportive and we are very pleased with the standard of care he receives. He always looks clean and tidy and his room is kept very nice. The food is very good and I am told dad eats very well. There is excellent communication between the staff and ourselves, so we always know what's happening and we are invited to share any concerns or questions when dad has his monthly review. We would highly recommend Heathervale

Mum has settled well at Victoria Court, she is always saying how much she loves being here and feels safe. Sue has made friends + loves the many activities provided, always has a happy story to tell me. The staff are all amazing and are always approachable if any assitance is needed. It has been a tough
year and both my parents are now residents at Victoria Court, the support I have also recieved from management and staff has made the hard times easier and greatly appreciated.

We were worried about having to move dad into a care home. But we didn't need to have worried as he has settled in really well.
He has a good relationship with the staff and other residents and is always telling us how lovely they all are.
Dad is thriving, it was a good decision.
We would happily
recommend this care home.

From finding out, while visiting mum in hospital that there was accommodation available at Landemere, to her moving in was conducted efficient and smoothly. The whole team are extremely professional and accommodating and understanding. Within 24 hours of mum moving in she was getting dressed. Something
she hasn't done in six months.
To see her down in the lounge for dinner and joining in with activities in something I never expected to see, Thank you very much to all the Landemere team.

My mum stayed over 2 1/2 yrs at Heathervale. She was happy and was took care of generally ok. I was informed quickly relating to any changes regarding my mums health and wellbeing. Not everything ran smoothly and on occasion things happened which had to be addressed. The last 6 weeks of her life the
home looked after my mum on end of life care. This was done with great care and dignity. Thank you Heathervale.

My mother in law originally went to stay at Victoria Court for 2 weeks respite care but she likes it so much she has decided to stay permanently! We have been so impressed with the level of care, physical, mental and emotionally which was provided. The staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble
and communication is excellent. Victoria Court really feels like a large extended family and home from home. In the first 3 weeks my mother in law laws quality of life has been transformed, and we are very grateful.

My mother moved to Heather Vale from another care home in Chesterfield, having been on the waiting list for a few months. Heather Vale was a breath of fresh air from Mum's previous home. The home is clean, tidy, airy and bright. The staff could not be more helpful and responsive to mum's needs. The
care team actively review mum's care plan and regularly seek my input which I am confident will be acted upon. There is weekly access to hairdressing and regular visits from a chiropodist. Access to the community nurse and GP are excellent, not something mum could get at home.
Mum's room is a good size and is quiet, well lit, with plenty of ventilation which mum can control herself. The supplied furniture is good quality, and we were able to add a few additional items to supplement this. Mum enjoys the food and looks forward to meal times.
I hope mum will be happy at Heather Vale for as long as possible.

Mum was a resident at heathervale care home for 18 months. I found her care from all staff excellent, mum had her 'favourites' and had a bond with these carers that I will always be grateful for. Carers are approachable and friendly and went above and beyond when situations arose. Residents and families
are involved in decision making around everyday life eg: getting up and going to bed times. Activities lady is excellent with plenty of stimulation for residents and entertainment/singers are regular. All kitchen staff/meals are excellent, going above and beyond to meet residents requirements and nutritional needs. I was very grateful for the support from staff as mum approached end of life with senior carers always on hand for us and going the extra mile to make mums last days as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Heathervale Care Home for a loved one without doubt.

It was the hardest decision we had to make for our mum to go into a care home. She had dementia but I knew as soon as I looked round it was the right home for her. All the staff took excellent care looking after our mum. Knowing she was being cared for, meant a lot to the family.

My mother has recovered so well through the 24 hour professional care and support of all the staff at Heather Vale, she has been a resident for 6 weeks. Her needs as an individual are always their main priority. Each resident is involved in decision making around routines such as times to get up
and go to bed, the staff genuinely want them to feel it is their home and they strive to meet residents choices and wishes. It is a 'can do' culture. There is access to hairdressing (mum loves this), chiropody and other health related options like physiotherapy. The access to GP services is outstanding and very reassuring to know that if needed a GP would visit. The quality of care overall is excellent, there is opportunity to ask questions, there is a calm approach and the care home has a very good feel about it. The management team want to engage with relatives, they actively seek your views and are always looking at how things can be developed or changed for the better.

Staff are so willing to please all patients. You feel they really care. Welcome visitors. Activities seem excellent, only been here approx 4 weeks, but enjoyed them. Visitors remark how fresh it smells (no urine smell). Try to carry out your every wish and succeed. Value for money as yet, don't know
the cost, what it may be could be justified.

My mum has been here since the start of April 2025. When I came to look round before my mum moved in I was impressed from the start how ALL the staff team were so friendly and caring and compassionate and professional to their residents and family and friends and consistently do enough to help and support
the residents and family and friends. I still hold this view and really pleased how my mum has settled in and is liking it here.
