My mother in law originally went to stay at Victoria Court for 2 weeks respite care but she likes it so much she has decided to stay permanently! We have been so impressed with the level of care, physical, mental and emotionally which was provided. The staff are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble
and communication is excellent. Victoria Court really feels like a large extended family and home from home. In the first 3 weeks my mother in law laws quality of life has been transformed, and we are very grateful.

My mother moved to Heather Vale from another care home in Chesterfield, having been on the waiting list for a few months. Heather Vale was a breath of fresh air from Mum's previous home. The home is clean, tidy, airy and bright. The staff could not be more helpful and responsive to mum's needs. The
care team actively review mum's care plan and regularly seek my input which I am confident will be acted upon. There is weekly access to hairdressing and regular visits from a chiropodist. Access to the community nurse and GP are excellent, not something mum could get at home.
Mum's room is a good size and is quiet, well lit, with plenty of ventilation which mum can control herself. The supplied furniture is good quality, and we were able to add a few additional items to supplement this. Mum enjoys the food and looks forward to meal times.
I hope mum will be happy at Heather Vale for as long as possible.

Mum was a resident at heathervale care home for 18 months. I found her care from all staff excellent, mum had her 'favourites' and had a bond with these carers that I will always be grateful for. Carers are approachable and friendly and went above and beyond when situations arose. Residents and families
are involved in decision making around everyday life eg: getting up and going to bed times. Activities lady is excellent with plenty of stimulation for residents and entertainment/singers are regular. All kitchen staff/meals are excellent, going above and beyond to meet residents requirements and nutritional needs. I was very grateful for the support from staff as mum approached end of life with senior carers always on hand for us and going the extra mile to make mums last days as comfortable as possible. I would recommend Heathervale Care Home for a loved one without doubt.

What a lovely special place! Put the whole family at ease with the difficult transition of moving mother in law to a care home and couldn't have asked for more from the staff. Thank you for your continued support and care.

It was the hardest decision we had to make for our mum to go into a care home. She had dementia but I knew as soon as I looked round it was the right home for her. All the staff took excellent care looking after our mum. Knowing she was being cared for, meant a lot to the family.

My dad has been a resident at Victoria Court since July 1st 2025. He has settled extremely well, due to the care and compassion from all of the staff who work there. You are always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always a helping hand nearby if
needed. Mum was been made to feel part of the family too and invited to join in for activities and some meals which really means a lot to us, as a family.

My mum has been a resident for just over 3 years. She has always been treated with respect and upmost care. I feel that mum is in a safe environment and her needs are took care of. There is many activities for mum and her family such as social events, bingo entertainment such as singers etc. I would
not hesitate in recommending this care home to anyone.

My mother has recovered so well through the 24 hour professional care and support of all the staff at Heather Vale, she has been a resident for 6 weeks. Her needs as an individual are always their main priority. Each resident is involved in decision making around routines such as times to get up
and go to bed, the staff genuinely want them to feel it is their home and they strive to meet residents choices and wishes. It is a 'can do' culture. There is access to hairdressing (mum loves this), chiropody and other health related options like physiotherapy. The access to GP services is outstanding and very reassuring to know that if needed a GP would visit. The quality of care overall is excellent, there is opportunity to ask questions, there is a calm approach and the care home has a very good feel about it. The management team want to engage with relatives, they actively seek your views and are always looking at how things can be developed or changed for the better.

Staff are so willing to please all patients. You feel they really care. Welcome visitors. Activities seem excellent, only been here approx 4 weeks, but enjoyed them. Visitors remark how fresh it smells (no urine smell). Try to carry out your every wish and succeed. Value for money as yet, don't know
the cost, what it may be could be justified.

My mum has been here since the start of April 2025. When I came to look round before my mum moved in I was impressed from the start how ALL the staff team were so friendly and caring and compassionate and professional to their residents and family and friends and consistently do enough to help and support
the residents and family and friends. I still hold this view and really pleased how my mum has settled in and is liking it here.

My parent's have resided in Victoria Court since April 2025. They have both settled really well. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They always greet you with a smile and nothing's too much trouble. They have made the care home homely and the carers are experienced in treating all the residents
individual needs.

Peace of mind is immeasurable. When we walked int the home everything just felt right. When we saw my father-in-law the difference in him was startling.
He was clean, happy, chatty and in very good health.
Couldn't have wished for more.
Thank you!

I feel complete trust and confidence in all staff here. Living here & trusting the staff takes my loneliness away & makes my life feel worthwhile & fulfilled. I wish I had moved in here years ago.
Staff show me complete respect & dignity, which is very important to me.
I look forward to joining in
the arranged activities, which are excellent at motivating clients & stimulating us. I cannot fault the food & I am able to order a special diet according to my needs. I am extremely happy here.

Wow! What alittle gem! Our mother hated the thought of going into a Home, but due to failing health at the age of 91, she needed help. We were recommended Landemere by a friend and how that conversation changed all our lives. Mum loves it here and in her words, 'it's nice to be home!' She's had a couple
of falls since arriving in February and the staff couldn't be more concerned, attentive and more importantly, mum is their priority, with family being kept upto date immediately. In a society of cutbacks, low wages and lack of respect for carers, the staff at Landemere work incredibly hard, are welcoming and love their residents like their own; it's so friendly. Landemere's manager and his team are a credit to the caring service and mum is happy.

The well-being of residents and excellent personalised care is what makes this care home special. All staff and management are approachable and I have no hesitation in recommending Heather Vale.
I regularly visit my father, who is living with advanced Alzheimer's and I feel part of the Heather Vale
community. Communication with relatives is good and I know my father is in safe hands. He is always treated with dignity and respect.

I visit my friend on average twice a week since she arrived at Landemere care home. I am always greeted by staff and can discuss any queries or make requests and feel happy and comfortable doing so. I do not always meet the manager, but my friend appreciates the attention of all the staff and their
care on a daily basis. I would personally choose this care home for myself or family.

Mum has been staying in Heather Vale since September 2024.
We have been very happy with her care during that period.
The home is well managed by the manager and in her recent absence a particular staff member.
Communication is good.
Every member of staff from kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance
to carers are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
A shout out to another particular staff member who has been very helpful recently.
The rooms are light and airy and as spring approaches we are looking forward to sunny afternoons in the garden with the ducks.

Our experience with Victoria Court has been amazing. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They all know dad by name and know his needs, many took the time to get to know us too. The care was thorough and professional but also gentle, careful and considerate. We know dad was very happy there, although
some fixtures were a bit tired. When dad passed the whole process was dealt with smoothly and efficiently but with time, space, care and sympathy.
