Our first impressions of the home are great, the staff are all friendly and are really good with the residents. The facilities in the home are of a good standard and the entertainment is also of a good standard. The staff have made every effort to make mums transition in to the facility as smooth as possible, for the most part mum seems happy to be there to the best of our knowledge, she is always smiling and happy when we come to visit.

Our 94 yr old Mother has been a resident for a little over two months and in that period she has come on in leaps and bounds after a very traumatic experience in another non Anchor facility. The Manager and her team are professional, happy, and certainly know their "onions". We as a family have been welcomed into the Birkenhead Court home by everyone we've met. Mum is settled more than we could have imagined and in a very short time period. I would recommend Birkenhead to anyone looking for a place for their loved one without any hesitation.

My mum is very articulate and enjoys activities/stimulation it is important that a structure of activity is provided regularly. She enjoys the activities at Sandstones

It was a difficult decision for my sister and me to move Mum from her home but she needed more care. Thomas Henshaw was the best home we had seen and came with many recommendations including from the ambulance man who cared for Mum after a fall!

From the moment Mum arrived she was treated so well. The staff are friendly the environment is welcoming and gently buzzing and the sense of community is very evident.

Mum went straight into the bright dining room while we got her room ready. After lunch she had her hair done and arrived at her new room feeling great. Any settling in issues we have had have been listened to and dealt with quickly and the team at Thomas Henshaw have really taken the time to get to know Mum.

She does miss home and is a little confused but she is so much better at Thomas Henshaw living in a caring, happy community with excellent facilities and daily activities, than she was sitting on her own most days.

Mum has a lovely bedroom and enjoys spending time in the lounge and the dining room where the excellent food is the highlight of her day. It is a joy to be able to spend quality time with Mum and the team, who feel very much like part of the family.

My mum was transferred from another care home to Heyberry House this week with the help of Emily. It has been a traumatic experience for our mum from 3 months in hospital & to a home that didn't suit her needs. We as a family have now found the right place for her & i personally feel i can now relax knowing she is safe & will be well cared for. Thank you so much Emily for your patience & understanding & putting up with my many manic phone calls to you to help secure a place for her. You have a great team behind you & i now for the first time feel calm & comfortable when visiting her.

my dad arrived here November 25, the first time I visited him I was really upset at seeing him here, I was expecting him to be coming home by Christmas, that was not to be, over time I realise my dad is better off here getting 24 hour care that I cannot provide, all staff are friendly and know all residents well, they know all family members by name too. Up to now I have been to two garden parties which my dad enjoyed.

My mum recently moved from respite care into a long term stay at Upton Grange, and the experience has been outstanding. The staff are excellent - warm, engaging, and genuinely empathetic. It's clear they take real pride in the care they provide and build meaningful connections with the residents. Upton Grange itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and Mum's room is always well looked after. The food is very good, and it's been wonderful to see Mum putting on weight and enjoying her meals again. One thing that truly sets Upton Grange apart is how the team also treat my Dad when he visits. They look after him with the same kindness and respect they show Mum, which means a great deal to us as a family. Any questions or concerns are responded to quickly and thoughtfully, and we feel completely safe in the knowledge that Mum is being cared for and very well looked after. We're incredibly grateful for the compassion and support shown every day.

My mum who has Alzheimer's moved into Thomas Henshaw court a few days ago so early days but from the moment she arrived I can't praise the staff enough. Each and every one of them has welcomed her with open arms, full of smiles and ready to help with anything. Her room is lovely and spacious with great views outside and she has a little lounge area and kitchen of her own for if she wants to be alone. Lots of activities going on and there is a large garden areas with chickens!!

It means the world to me knowing that she is being looked after so well.

My mother is very well looked after which makes it easier for me to fill another role in my life 'being a grandparent'. It is also great that there is a weekly GP visit as there ahs just been a chest infection and antibiotics have been administered. The staff are very friendly and I trust them.

We have been very pleased with how well Wendy has settled in to her new care home. All the staff have been very friendly/helpful in allowing her to settle in. She is gradually making friends with the existing residents and enjoying her new 'home'.

Staff are so friendly & welcoming. They have not only helped & supported my mum settling in quickly, but they also supported us as a family to navigate things practically & emotionally. Mum aged 91 (a reluctant resident at first) has settled very well into her new surroundings. This has been largely due to the emathetic, friendly, efficient and experienced staff. As a family we have been hugely impressed with level of care and communication.

My mother has been a resident for 2 years now and is well looked after and cared for. The home is both local and accessible for my brother and I we visit regularly and maintain good communication and relationship with staff and management.

Her 90th birthday was very special as we had family in the conservatory and the chefs at Heyberry made my mum a cake, to be shared with everyone living and working there. Since then her mobility has seriously reduced, but my mum continues to receive the highest quality of care. Thank you all

My brother has now lived at Thomas Henshaw Court for many years, he considers it his home and the staff are like his extended family. We are very grateful to know he is safe and has all the support he needs.

My husband is resident and is very well looked after, content and secure.
