My mother has been a resident for 2 years now and is well looked after and cared for. The home is both local and accessible for my brother and I we visit regularly and maintain good communication and relationship with staff and management.

My husband has been well looked after and they treat him with patience and kindness. The food is good and is served up regularly. He seems to be recovering from the flu he had in January and seems to be able to use his legs , with the help of a zimmer frame. I hope he will continue to improve so that we can take him out for a break from the care home.

Mum has been at wonderful Sandstones for 18 months now since breaking her hip at home.
Initially it was for 6 weeks rehab after being in hospital for 3 months due to complications so after several recommendations and with mums agreement she went to stay at Sandstones .
It took mum about 6 months to settle down into life here after being a fiercely independent woman but it was apparent to her and our family that we could not manage her physical and emotional needs especially as we are all getting older !!.
The team in every department help mum 24/ 7 with her needs and she gets involved in the various activities and outings as she has the mental capacity to engage but needs support with her mobility especially as she regularly has lots of family and friends visiting

As a family we would like to thank the whole team at Sandstones allowing us to have quality time with our lovely mum xx

My lovely Aunt has been a resident in Sandstones for over 3 years, I visit regularly 3-4 times a week and I have come to know the staff and I'm forever grateful for the care and attention they give to her and to the other residents. It has a small friendly atmosphere, the staff are attentive and I can discuss readily any concerns that may arise. They do deal with the residents as individuals and with understanding for their needs.
Ben and all the staff including ancillary and kitchen, are to be commended as they all genuinely care about the residents, and their welfare. They are always welcoming when I visit.

It is so important to us as a family to know she is safe and cared for by the Sandstone team.

There are not enough words to describe the amazing caring staff at Sandstones
Never did I envisage I would need this for my husband and to hand him over from a very loving family was incredibly hard, but I wished I knew then what I know now and it would have been so much easier.
He has gone from one wonderful family to another, the care and respect and kindness shown has overwhelmed us.

We as a family looked at 11 care homes before this one and every day we count ourselves very lucky to have found it

I had a good vibe from this care home from the first time I came to look around for my Dad. The staff are wonderful and do everything to try and keep my dad safe, which is obviously very important to me.

My dad is very settled here, which says a lot about the care he receives.

Our family had to move dad into Sandstones in October. It's such a lovely environment for him to be in with his own room and communal lounge. It's clean, well-kept and improving with new floors going in. The staff are all lovely, kin and patient with visitors and residents. They take note of each individual's needs, likes and dislikes, which can't be easy! There is an endless supply of food, plenty of snacks in between meals which dad enjoys! There are plenty of activities through dad isn't too involved, it's good to see others enjoying themselves. Dad is settling in, which is such a comfort to his family. Thank you to all you lovely, hard-working carers.

My dad is a resident, and the care and kindness he receives from the staff/carers is fantastic. Recently, he was poorly, but I was confident that they would take care of him like I would. That is the best praise I can give. He is happy, content, and most importantly, safe, and as a family, we are grateful for the care he receives.

The home was warm and friendly and the staff were helpful. However an item of value was lost during my husbands stay and the has clouded my judgement of the home.

It wasn't an easy decision to put Dad into nursing care and we looked into various places, Sandstones had wonderful reviews and we now know why.

The care that Dad receives is 2nd to non, each and every carer is so caring and considerate, nothing is too much trouble. We are really happy that we chose Sandstones.

My husband has been in Sandstones Care Home since May 2024. Right from the start the staff were helpful, caring and understanding it's not easy when someone you love can't be cared for at home any more but the management and staff have made it easier to accept. They have become part of our family and we thank them for that they are always available when needed service with a smile.

Mum has been a resident since last year, we were struggling to find somewhere suitable, some of the places we looked at weren't good, we were so lucky to find sandstones.

She's been very well looked after since arriving there, we feel reassured that she's in safe hands, it's taken the worry & stress off us.

We moved my mum into Sandstones after having to move her from another home where she had been happy. However, finances meant we had to move her in March 2024. The support to enable her to settle was second to none. Staff were always on hand to support her and us as a family. She is really happy, loves the room that she has and really feels like she is in her own home. The food is really excellent care and support are fantastic and communication between the home and our family is excellent. Thank you to all staff you are stars!

I just want to say how glad we are we found Sandstones for my dad who has been here for one year now. The staff are so good and caring, we know them all by name and they always make us welcome as we visit daily. They go out of their way to be helpful and nothing is too much. The food is lovely and the place is clean and very organised. Thank you so much for caring for Dad and the other residents who live there too.

My mother-in-law has been here for almost 2 years and we are so happy we chose Sandstones. The staff really are excellent. The care she has received as her condition has worsened is second to none. She and the other residents are very well cared for and there seems a genuine bond between the staff and residents. There always seems to be something going on and my wife and I are made to feel very welcome on our frequent visits. We are on first-name terms with all the staff. The food looks (and smells) very good, I heard a resident comment that she felt like she was in a 5-star hotel. There is a lovely garden area which has been maintained by the staff, some in their own time. We just need a little more sun to enjoy it more!

My mum just passed tonight and I can't thank the amazing staff for all they did for me and the rest of the family, I saw how much they loved her and she loved them, they took so much care of my mum and us they made sure we had everything any time we asked. Everyone was there when we needed to talk ask questions and hugs, I'm so glad that the time my mum was there and of her passing she was very very happy and content and all the staff there was the reason why.
Words can't really explain the immense pride that we have of the staff and everything they did. My mum and I will miss them all and thank you all for everything you did for my mum and us.

Again words can't express how really amazing the staff were our family will be forever grateful to them.
