Sandstones in Wallasey is situated within a mile of the River Mersey estuary on the Wirral. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 35 customers in homely and comfortable single ensuite rooms and continues to welcome new residents.

Thank you so much for looking after my mum so well. Your staff are fantastic; they work very hard, are so empathetic, loving and caring. Your home has a wonderful atmosphere, and the residents all seem to be very happy. I recommend you highly!

I attended Sandstones for a pre-arranged garden visit. I arrived on time and was shown into the garden with no delay. My aunt was also ready for the meeting. She was happy and well-tuned out, and it was a pleasure to see her so well after a long hiatus. Thank you.

Very pleased with every aspect of the home; staff are very welcoming, great with the residents, the residents are well looked after, and the meals are fantastic. Couldn't ask for anymore with looking after my mother.

My mum has been a resident of Sandstones since July 2020, and our family’s experience has been so positive. The whole team are absolutely wonderful. The residents are treated with such love and compassion - which has been especially important during the last 12-months when lockdown has prevented family
contact. There are fantastic activities - art, baking, sports week, gardening, bingo, cheese and wine evenings and more. Everyone genuinely looks like they’re having fun.
Mum is safe and so well cared for, and I’m not sure we could never thank the team enough for their care and support. A truly wonderful home and incredible staff.

My parents have been in Sandstones for 12-months, and they are in the best place in my opinion. They both have different needs, and their illnesses are very challenging for them both. The team at Sandstones have welcomed Mum, Dad and us as a family from the moment we all became a part of the Sandstones
family. They keep us informed of anything that has happened with Mum and Dad. All through the most challenging time through Covid when the team have been under pressure, they have never shown it. They greet us with smiles and display tireless energy and commitment to providing the best possible care to Mum and Dad. They truly care for them. They are very well looked after, always well dressed and clean. Their rooms are lovely, and the atmosphere in the home is lovely, welcoming and homely. I couldn't recommend Sandstones highly enough.

Mum has been resident here for nearly 2 years now and has been looked after extremely well. This year has been very difficult due to the restrictions imposed because of government guidance regarding COVID 19, however, the home has coped well given the circumstances. The introduction of the app which
allows electronic communications with Mum has been a really good added bonus.

Sandstones has shown itself to be professional throughout these difficult times of Covid - 19. Their ability to communicate effectively has reassured myself and the family that Mum is safe and well. The Team embrace whatever ways they can in order to bring families and friends of their loved ones together
and with the introduction of the app this has proven to be very helpful in Mum's circumstances to communicate with her on her level and abilities.
Sometimes my Mum might not remember what she has been up to, so but it makes such a difference popping onto Sandstones Facebook page and seeing how she has been with baking, painting or singing.
You are always reassured to get in touch, I have never felt I could not ring.
The atmosphere of love, care and efficiency, which I felt over two years ago is still shining through today.
I highly recommend Sandstones what they willing offer and work hard for is our relatives.

The staff at Sandstones have dealt with the current COVID crisis in a totally professional and exemplary manner. Knowing my Mother has been in such safe hands is of great reassurance and relief to me. Staff have kept me informed as to the situation, and their use of social media has allowed me to see

My Grandad has been in Sandstones for nearly two years; the care is of a high standard and nothing is too much trouble for the management and staff.
The home is always warm and welcoming, whilst being clean and fresh.
Although my Grandad doesn't always participate in the activities, the home offers
a wide variety of activities and outings which are displayed clearly on the noticeboard for residents and visitors.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff and management have ensured all infection prevention and control measures are in place to prevent the spread of this virus and to maintain the health and wellbeing of the residents. This has been a success and their hard work is much appreciated by myself and my family. Thank you.

Sandstones is an excellent Care Home providing quality care for a range of residents with dementia and physical difficulties. Residents' rooms are spacious and always beautifully clean and well maintained. The staff always treat the residents with respect and consideration at all times. Family members
are encouraged to visit residents throughout the day. Communication between the Care Home and family members is excellent. I can't recommend this Care Home highly enough.

I cannot speak highly enough of Sandstones Nursing Home. The staff, both care and office staff, are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. As a family, we are always made to feel welcome. Before lockdown, there was always something going on in the afternoon to entertain the residents.

My mother was admitted on a temporary basis after a short illness. It soon became clear that she would be unable to return home but from the moment she was admitted she was made to feel welcome and part of their family. The staff actually enjoy their roles within the home, always a smile and a friendly
word for visitors and residents alike. Nothing is too much trouble and they encourage everyone to get involved in the daily activities, even the visitors, if something is on when you visit, join in. Cleanliness is paramount here and the chef makes all the meals from scratch with varied menus. I could not wish for better care for my mum and the main thing is she is very happy and loved at Sandstones.

I find the care home to be very clean. The food is excellent and the people in the home are treated extremely well. The care home arranges various entertainment and Christian services for the guests.
The staff are exceptional, professional and extremely caring.
I am kept informed of any change in
my mother’s health or condition on a regular basis.
I would recommend this home and view it’s service very highly.

My mother has been very happy since she took up residence at Sandstones. The staff are very kind and attentive. There are plenty of activities to keep her stimulated and she likes to join when possible. She is very enthusiastic about the food and extremely complimentary about her meals. I do not

A very friendly place which I really enjoy visiting Sandstones not just to see my mum but lots of other residents.
There are issues regarding repairs etc. My mum's heavy fire door to her room closes quick. It's been reported weeks ago but still hasn't been repaired.
Also, the first-floor bathroom
has been out of order since July with no sign of being fixed.
Otherwise, it's fabulous.

My aunt is very happy here at Sandstones. She loves mealtimes and how the dining room is set out so beautifully.
Her own room is very comfortable and she feels safe and secure here. She is pleased she has made Sandstones her home and often says so.
