Sandstones

My mother-in-law has been here for almost 2 years and we are so happy we chose Sandstones. The staff really are excellent. The care she has received as her condition has worsened is second to none. She and the other residents are very well cared for and there seems a genuine bond between the staff and residents. There always seems to be something going on and my wife and I are made to feel very welcome on our frequent visits. We are on first-name terms with all the staff. The food looks (and smells) very good, I heard a resident comment that she felt like she was in a 5-star hotel. There is a lovely garden area which has been maintained by the staff, some in their own time. We just need a little more sun to enjoy it more!

Again words can't express how really amazing the staff were our family will be forever grateful to them.

The staff at Sandstones are amazing! They have been so caring and friendly to my mum and have always made me feel welcome and free to visit her any time I wish. Over the time she has been with them, she has been well cared for with her health needs monitored and personal preferences discussed. Some members of staff have gone above and beyond in helping her and making her smile. If at any point I have needed to discuss her care with management, they have responded to my enquiries efficiently and with good outcomes. It is reassuring as a relative to know she is safe and has somebody on hand 24/7 for help if required. Thank you team Sandstones for your kindness and hard work.

All of the staff here deserve a medal. It takes very special people to care for others. Without exception, all of the staff are wonderful and caring. My dad is 90 with health issues but at last, I can sleep at night knowing he is getting the care and attention he needs. He was very poorly when he first went into care and is now looking better than ever. Thank you to you all, you are amazing.

I have been visiting my brother since May 2023 and there has always been a lovely atmosphere here at Sandstones. I see different members of staff and all are polite, helpful and welcoming. I believe that a happy place with happy staff and residents is a sure sign of excellent management. My brother's contentment here is so reassuring, so I know that this is the best place with the best care for him. I wish to take this opportunity to thank them all for their kindness.

I feel confident that Mum is well cared for and that staff will alert me to any issues. The staff appear to be kind and treat Mum with dignity. The only thing I feel may need to be worked on is some of the activities, such as watching a film or having afternoon tea, because these are part of the usual routine anyway, not additional. Also, I was hoping the residents might be taken out sometimes, otherwise, excellent.

Since moving into Sandstones, Mum has become more social, chatty and generally happier due to the encouragement of staff to interact with others. I have witnessed the staff with many residents, and they know them all and treat them and their individual needs with real care and compassion, always with a smile, even in difficult circumstances. The environment and all staff are always welcoming, and visiting is a pleasure, often with grandchildren and pets. I am now more relaxed knowing Mum is safe and happy. Thank you to all Sandstones staff.

I am really pleased with the care my mum is given. She has been a resident here since August 2019. The staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I can sleep easily knowing that my mum is in safe hands. Highly recommended.

I attended Sandstones for a pre-arranged garden visit. I arrived on time and was shown into the garden with no delay. My aunt was also ready for the meeting. She was happy and well-tuned out, and it was a pleasure to see her so well after a long hiatus. Thank you.

Very pleased with every aspect of the home; staff are very welcoming, great with the residents, the residents are well looked after, and the meals are fantastic. Couldn't ask for anymore with looking after my mother.

My parents have been in Sandstones for 12-months, and they are in the best place in my opinion. They both have different needs, and their illnesses are very challenging for them both. The team at Sandstones have welcomed Mum, Dad and us as a family from the moment we all became a part of the Sandstones family. They keep us informed of anything that has happened with Mum and Dad. All through the most challenging time through Covid when the team have been under pressure, they have never shown it. They greet us with smiles and display tireless energy and commitment to providing the best possible care to Mum and Dad. They truly care for them. They are very well looked after, always well dressed and clean. Their rooms are lovely, and the atmosphere in the home is lovely, welcoming and homely. I couldn't recommend Sandstones highly enough.

Mum has been resident here for nearly 2 years now and has been looked after extremely well. This year has been very difficult due to the restrictions imposed because of government guidance regarding COVID 19, however, the home has coped well given the circumstances. The introduction of the app which allows electronic communications with Mum has been a really good added bonus.

I feel completely at ease that my mother is being well looked after by the staff at Sandstones. I know she is being cared for by staff who are friendly and committed to their residents. The food is excellent, and the home is kept very clean.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the staff and management have ensured all infection prevention and control measures are in place to prevent the spread of this virus and to maintain the health and wellbeing of the residents. This has been a success and their hard work is much appreciated by myself and my family. Thank you.

Sandstones is an excellent Care Home providing quality care for a range of residents with dementia and physical difficulties. Residents' rooms are spacious and always beautifully clean and well maintained. The staff always treat the residents with respect and consideration at all times. Family members are encouraged to visit residents throughout the day. Communication between the Care Home and family members is excellent. I can't recommend this Care Home highly enough.
