I find the care home to be very clean. The food is excellent and the people in the home are treated extremely well. The care home arranges various entertainment and Christian services for the guests.
The staff are exceptional, professional and extremely caring.
I am kept informed of any change in my mother’s health or condition on a regular basis.

I would recommend this home and view it’s service very highly.

My mother has been very happy since she took up residence at Sandstones. The staff are very kind and attentive. There are plenty of activities to keep her stimulated and she likes to join when possible. She is very enthusiastic about the food and extremely complimentary about her meals. I do not think she would be happier anywhere else.

A very friendly place which I really enjoy visiting Sandstones not just to see my mum but lots of other residents.
There are issues regarding repairs etc. My mum's heavy fire door to her room closes quick. It's been reported weeks ago but still hasn't been repaired.
Also, the first-floor bathroom has been out of order since July with no sign of being fixed.

Otherwise, it's fabulous.

My aunt is very happy here at Sandstones. She loves mealtimes and how the dining room is set out so beautifully.
Her own room is very comfortable and she feels safe and secure here. She is pleased she has made Sandstones her home and often says so.

Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work and for making Sandstones a wonderful place to live.

Sandstones have cared for my uncle for four years and also for my mother for nearly ten years before that. The staff some of whom have worked there on a long-term basis are always kind and caring. The environment is attractive and the food is outstanding, produced by award-winning chefs. I can recommend Sandstones without hesitation.

Just wishing to place on record my appreciation re the care given to my sister by all the staff at Sandstones Care Home, Wallasey.
My sister has been at the care home now for 18 months.

The care home is extremely well run, from management down to all staff who constantly provide a caring and supportive role to all residents. With regard to my sister, who was recently taken ill and had to be admitted to hospital, the staff response was exceptional in ensuring her health and care. She is now back at the care home. The staff are to be congratulated and are a credit to the Anchor organisation.

Moving Mum to a care home was a difficult but necessary decision. After visiting several homes prior, Sandstones was a welcome relief. Sandstones is impressive in that the staff appears to genuinely care for the residents and be familiar with their particular ways and needs. And, there are no odd odours.

We were treated with kindness and respect while being shown around the facility; being advised of the processes. We appreciated how knowledgable the admin staff was in explaining everything.

Mum has been at Sandstones for only one week but we know this is the place for her. She enjoys the many activities and the wonderfully delicious meals that are provided. She has had some rough patches (agitation in the evening) but we know she is treated with sincere thoughtfulness by the staff when she does have a tough moment.

As a side note, our phone calls and emails to check on Mum have been responded to and we have never felt like it was an imposition to give us an update.

In addition to top rating in all categories below, I comment as follows...

The food quality, variety, preparation and service and presentation have always (3 plus years) been of a high standard and since the residents voted for no TV or music at meal times, diners can talk more freely and quietly and seem more generally relaxed.

My short stay at Sandstones was long enough to experience what I can only describe as a salutary change in my lifestyle.

In due respect, I feel I am not ready for such a change to become a permanent resident but would pass on my recommendation to any others who I feel would benefit for a stay here. Spare chairs in room for visitors would be appreciated.

My Dad went into Sandstones Wallasey, when my family went to a family wedding in Cyprus. The home is lovely and the staff were wonderful. The home is lovely and clean and the food was gorgeous. Dad was so well looked after and put our minds at rest that he was well cared for, which allowed us to enjoy our time away.

When we were looking for long term care we were introduced to the manager who assesed my aunt in her flat. Within a fortnight she was settled into Sandstones in Penkett Road. The care she receives is second to none the staff are wonderful, food is excellent, she is monitored at all times and if the staff feel she needs hospital or doctors they see to this and let the family know. Her family can be rest assured she is looked after to the highest degree.

My aunt lives in sheltered accommodation but she has had a few falls and for her own safety my aunt spoke to the family and realised she needed a few weeks care so we get her into Sandstones.

The care and attention we received when we arrived and first class. Sandstones is very clean. The food is excellent. Sandstones is a very warm and friendly home.
