Anchor's Upton Grange is located in the Wirral and it is purpose-built with the care of its residents in mind. Each of the single 52 rooms benefits from en suite wet rooms and fitted furniture. There are also a number of facilities including a hair and beauty salon, tea room and quiet lounges and seating areas.

Both my mother and Aunt are residents at Upton Grange. They are cared for with kindness, patience, humour and most importantly with skills.
All staff at all levels work as a team, all aware of the residents needs and personalities. They are equally supportive of families and often spend time making
sure we are ok.

My husband was happy at Upton Grange - though he won't admit it! He already knew someone in there and made a friend while there, who he hopes to visit! The only criticism he had was the lack of activities, whilst I was visiting with our daughter, a carer suggested some exercises which my husband would
have enjoyed, as he needs to move about, but this was cried off by some dominant ladies and they settled for hangman on a whiteboard, could Upton Grange have a specialist activity person say a couple of times per week?

We take on board your comments around activities, where it can be difficult to find an activity that suits everyone at all times. We do have armchair exercises scheduled daily, as we understand the importance to keep moving, however there are occasions when the majority of our residents prefer to do another activity. We aim to involve our residents in planning our activities to ensure these encompass everyone's preferences. My mum-in-law is 95 years old. She's loved and cared for by us, her immediate family. She moved into Upton Grange in May, after several visits for respite care. It took a little while to settle. She did settle. She has friends. The staff are wonderful, they pay attention to detail, clean, caring and
above all, kind. Not only has she settled, but it's true that my wife and I have realised how much it's meant to our lives too. We visit every day and are greeted by the staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. She enjoys the staff/team, banter, the food and the activities. As professionals in social care, my wife and I have always been wary of this period of our lives. Thank you all for putting our minds at rest and caring so wonderfully. Thank you.

Such a great feel to Upton Grange. Welcoming and definitely caring, without question. Mum has settled within days of becoming a member of the Upton Grange family. A lot of care and compassion was shown to my step mother, who at times could have challenging behaviour . Caregivers, listened to concerns and acted on them in order to help her settle into an environment that she struggled to come to terms with.

I find Upton Grange one of the friendliest care homes I have visited. Nothing is any trouble and the staff go out of their way to make residents comfortable and happy. The office staff always welcome you and are ready to listen if something needs doing. The food is always lovely and plentiful. Everywhere
is clean and well maintained. I witnessed a beautiful moment yesterday, a carer was asking a resident if they would like a cuddle, it brought tears to my eyes, as I passed the room.

I have no complaints about the care they gave to my father. It was exemplary, five stars. The care staff are amazing. However, I do have a complaint about how they dealt with things after Dad passed away. He passed away in March. It is now July. They have not yet processed the refund we are owed, which
is in breach of their agreement. The last thing a bereaved family wants to do is to have to chase up after money. They were instantly responsive when Dad was alive. Once he passed, they were neglectful of their communication and follow-up. Despite calling head office (who was helpful) and agreeing on a resolution (i.e., to pay what they owed), at the level of the home, which is where the refund comes from, they still did not follow through. I am expecting a resolution tomorrow after months of chasing up. I have given the management 3 stars only because of this issue. Otherwise, they would have had 5 stars. Don't hesitate to have a loved one stay here. They will be well taken care of

This home is extremely well managed. The staff are caring, helpful and happy. The environment is calm and welcoming. The rooms are light and spacious, and the care given to my mother has been excellent. The seniors in charge are knowledgeable & informative about Mum's current condition & the office

A very happy care home. Dad has been here since August 2024 and the difference in him is amazing. It took a while for him to settle into his new home but with the encouragement, care and compassion from the staff he finally got there. I could not think of a negative thing to say about Upton Grange.
It was the hardest decision ever to put Dad into a care home, but I am so happy I chose this one, as Dad's forever home. Well done to all the staff. It is lovely to see happy chants whenever I visit Dad.

Dad has been at Upton Grange for three months now. He has settled in extremely well and is cared for like one of their own. I cannot commend the staff enough for their hard work and dedication. They provided numerous daily activities over the Christmas period that Dad really enjoyed. I feel secure in

From the moment we first walked into Upton Grange, we were very impressed. Everyone made us feel very welcome, the wonderful facilities, the kind and caring staff - everything about it impressed us so much that we knew this was the place we wanted for Mum!
Mum herself immediately fell in love with
it and felt at home there, which was obviously so important.
I cannot thank the staff enough, the home is a credit to them - it is evident they love the residents and in turn, the residents obviously feel the same way about them.
When I visit my mum, she is always happy and enjoys participating in the various activities on offer. Mum feels she is valued there, she is part of the lovely community there and it's so good to see her confidence growing once again.
She also tells me the meals are "amazing and out of this world!"
I am so pleased we found Upton Grange and that they had a place for my mum - I cannot praise and thank the manager and all her wonderful staff enough!

Staff are always lovely and welcoming on every occasion. I'm always kept updated on Mum's progress she always seems happy.

My mother moved into Upton Grange following a long hospital admission and very serious illnesses, from which I did not expect her to recover.
Before choosing Upton Grange, I visited a range of other residential care homes in the area, none of which offered the same quality of accommodation and a high
level of support.
The rooms are lovely, the building is spotlessly clean and is maintained to a high standard throughout. The food is excellent and there are lots of activities for residents to enjoy.
The quality of care at Upton Grange has helped me to get my mum back. At the age of 86, she is happy, active and engaged with carers and fellow residents. I really did not expect this level of recovery and I am totally convinced that this is due to the expertise and commitment of the wonderful staff, who clearly have genuine affection for my mum and all of the other residents.

Mum was in Upton Grange for 2 weeks for respite. Upon arrival, the staff were really kind and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. She thoroughly enjoyed her meals there and had plenty of coffee treats. The attentiveness was so good and she was looked after so well.

My elderly mother who suffers from dementia has lived at Upton Grange for eighteen months. During this time she has been cared for extremely well with lovely welcoming staff. After fracturing her pelvis she returned to the home in a sorry state. She had nearly eaten in the hospital and was in pain.
Upton Grange has been wonderful and I am eternally grateful. Over time with their nurturing care, she has built up her strength and is now walking again with her Zimmer and is participating in the activities. She is enjoying life again!
