The staff are amazing, understanding, patient and kind. I think there could be more activities maybe movie days with popcorn more music etc. Air conditioning would be welcomed as this summer was extremely hot and especially being upstairs. I've also noticed that occasionally there doesn't seem to be
enough staff which puts more pressure on the staff that are in.

Thank you for taking the time to review Widnes Hall, and we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as excellent. We appreciate your kind comments regarding our team, which I will pass on. We arrange activities with our residents' input to ensure that they are enjoyed by everyone, but we will discuss future activities with our residents. We had a number of fans around the home during the very warm summer months. The care and safety of our residents is of utmost priority where we use a dependency tool to ensure that we can meet the needs of our residents at all times. I'm happy to discuss all aspects of our care at a mutually convenient time.

All I can say is from day one Mum has received top class care from all the shifts, I know that the girls have a lot on every day on the Magpie unit at Widnes Hall. They are all so caring and patient with everyone. We only have to ask for anything, and it's not a problem; they do everything. I have always
said it's a vocation and not just a job, and they all go the extra mile.

Staff are patient with my mother, they take their time attending to her needs and make sure that she is happy and comfortable. I am kept up to date with any issues or concerns that the staff may have and how it has been resolved. I am so glad that I chose to leave my mother's care in their hands.

Outstanding care home. Staff are amazing and do so much with my mum. Since moving into Widnes Hall mum has a new lease of life. Its a joy to see her enjoying herself every day and taking part in all the activities and days out. We have such peace of mind knowing how happy and well cared for mum is.
I have also recommended Widnes Hall to my friend who has recently moved her mum in. Only negative is I would like mum to have new flooring in her room. Other than that 5 stars all the way. Thank you to all the staff you are amazing.

Thank you for leaving Widnes Hall a review, and for your lovely words. We love having Mum here with us and it's been great to see her blossom. As discussed, we have now arranged for the flooring in Mums room to be replaced. Thank you again for your lovely review, your kind words will be passed on to the team.

When gran moved into WH in Oct 2024, we honestly thought that if we get her to Xmas we would be lucky.
But with the expert care she has received, she is thriving - healthwise, happiness, contentment, friendships have all blossomed and as a family, we could not be more appreciative.

My mum stayed at Widnes Hall for two weeks respite care, whilst I went on holiday in February.

From the moment we entered we were made to feel like we were friends, everyone was so welcoming and any fears of leaving mum were quickly gone. I can't stress how important this was.

The en-suite bedroom

was lovely, as was the lounge and dining area. There were lots of activities throughout the day, bingo and a singer and it was lovely to see the residents enjoying themselves.

Every single member of staff was really lovely and caring and are a credit to the company.

If we ever need respite care for another holiday, Widnes Hall is the only place I would want to leave my mum.

From entering Widnes Hall, we were greeted with a pleasant greeting by all the staff. Mum couldn't settle at first but now she loves it and has certainly settled in. Mum is happier when she is kept active with different games or tasks. The entertainment is good too. I would recommend WH.

My dad has been a resident at Widnes Hall since May 2024. He is 91 and has mobility issues. Dad is so settled and happy there. He feels safe as he felt vulnerable living on his own. He has not looked so well in years as the care and kindness he receives are excellent. The staff are so wonderful and
have helped Dad feel as though Widnes Hall is his home. I have also received so much kindness at what was an emotional move from his bungalow.

My mum has been a resident for 18 months now and she has settled in very well. All staff are amazing and understanding. The food they serve is all homemade and fresh. All staff communicate with us and tell us of any concerns. The doctor comes every week and checks for any needs. The hairdresser on site
is fab and my mum looks forward to having her hair done every week. Always doing activities with the residents my mum enjoys it. I would 100% recommend Widnes Hall and feel secure in the knowledge my mum is being well looked after.

On the whole, I am pleased with the care. I know my uncle is safe and looked after. I do think it is expensive for what you get. He has to pay £20.00 to the Podiatrist and I think this should be included. He has to pay for a haircut which I think should be included. He needed a haircut a couple of months
ago and it was not cut because they said he had no money. He does and all they needed to do was cut it and then ask me.

Thank you for taking the time to review Widnes Hall. I am happy to hear that you are pleased with our care and rate your overall experience with us as good. Care is one of our main priorities. This is why we have external parties come in, for some of the resident's needs. Such as hairdressing and Chiropody. So, residents still get a salon experience from a professional hairdresser, within the home in our salon. In regards to Chiropody, we have external chiropodists come in to check any concerns, so we have a genuine professional address any of their issues and give them the best care and treatment they need. We do as much personal care as we can, for our residents, but when it comes to receiving a diagnosis and treatment, it's important we have external professionals treat and examine our residents. If you have any other concerns or recommendations, please feel free to contact me. My door is always open.
