My Grandad has now been a resident of Widnes Hall for 1 week. As a family, we were nervous and concerned about this transition but the staff have been so kind and understanding and have supported him to settle in much quicker than we anticipated. He was a little worried about moving but the individual care and attention (and interest) he has recieved has really helped - Thank you to all the staff at Widnes Hall

My mother was warmly welcomed into Widnes Hall on 12th January. She was so well looked after on the first day and this has continued. Before Mum could take up her placement, we needed to purchase special equipment. This caused a delay, but throughout that time (just over 3 weeks, and over the Christmas period) the home kept in regular contact with both Mum and myself. I can't thank the staff enough and I look forward to the future going forward.

After reviewing many care homes Widnes Hall was the only home I wanted for my dad . Walking into the facility I noticed immediately how clean the home was and how friendly residents and staff were . My dad settled in a lot quicker than I anticipated and this was all because of the caring support of all the staff . The staff radio to residents is far superior to the government regulations - The quality of meals and portions are fabulous and within the first week my dad put on 4lbs. I can't imagine my dad anywhere else - he tells me family and friends , the staff will do anything for him .He feels extremely safe at Widnes Hall and how much he likes being there. He loves his private room and ensuite. Thank you Widnes Hall for all you do and taking care of my 90-year-old dad.

The care my father received was outstanding, the staff simply couldn't do enough for him during his time at the care home.
Over the last 5 weeks, my fathers health seriously declined. The care, compassion, love, and attention we've received as a whole family has been amazing, from the management, right through to the cleaning/laundry staff.
You really do feel as though you're part of a big family at Widnes Hall Care Home.

I would highly recommend Widnes Hall Care Home to anyone that is looking for somewhere that will care for a loved one, in later life.

I highly recommend Widnes Hall Care Home. I have nothing but praise for all of the staff for their hard work, dedication to the job and especially for the loving care of my mum. The atmosphere in the home is wonderful, and it is very well kept, clean, bright and welcoming. The staff are diligent in their care of the residents and they form positive relationships, treating everyone with patience, respect and kindness no matter what. They show compassion not only to the resident but the family members too.

The staff are amazing, understanding, patient and kind. I think there could be more activities maybe movie days with popcorn more music etc. Air conditioning would be welcomed as this summer was extremely hot and especially being upstairs. I've also noticed that occasionally there doesn't seem to be enough staff which puts more pressure on the staff that are in.

All I can say is from day one Mum has received top class care from all the shifts, I know that the girls have a lot on every day on the Magpie unit at Widnes Hall. They are all so caring and patient with everyone. We only have to ask for anything, and it's not a problem; they do everything. I have always said it's a vocation and not just a job, and they all go the extra mile.

Staff are patient with my mother, they take their time attending to her needs and make sure that she is happy and comfortable. I am kept up to date with any issues or concerns that the staff may have and how it has been resolved. I am so glad that I chose to leave my mother's care in their hands.

Outstanding care home. Staff are amazing and do so much with my mum. Since moving into Widnes Hall mum has a new lease of life. Its a joy to see her enjoying herself every day and taking part in all the activities and days out. We have such peace of mind knowing how happy and well cared for mum is. I have also recommended Widnes Hall to my friend who has recently moved her mum in. Only negative is I would like mum to have new flooring in her room. Other than that 5 stars all the way. Thank you to all the staff you are amazing.

Reply from Amanda Ashton, Home Manager at Widnes Hall

Thank you for leaving Widnes Hall a review, and for your lovely words. We love having Mum here with us and it's been great to see her blossom. As discussed, we have now arranged for the flooring in Mums room to be replaced. Thank you again for your lovely review, your kind words will be passed on to the team.

When gran moved into WH in Oct 2024, we honestly thought that if we get her to Xmas we would be lucky.

But with the expert care she has received, she is thriving - healthwise, happiness, contentment, friendships have all blossomed and as a family, we could not be more appreciative.
