We can't thank you all enough.

All staff are lovely and caring all areas are kept immaculately clean always has a friendly and homely feel to it. I would definitely this place to anyone it's been a really god send to our family, nothing is too much trouble for them.

Very personal as always know family names & Even on mums bad days staff are always good.

I cannot give enough praise about the staff at Herries Lodge. The love and care they have given to my mum goes above and beyond. The hugs, smiles, conversations, dementia expertise, diet and among many other attributes are given without instruction or prompt. They have allowed mum to be free to be herself guided her when needed, danced with her and sang her favourite songs. They know her. For her family the staff have guided us through the emotional rollercoaster and enabled us to become her children again and not carers. Herries lodge is 5 Star accomodation, the garden is beautiful. It's clean. The food is great too!

Residents are encouraged to make their room personal and familiar with their own belongings, pictures, photos, ornaments, etc., and residents are treated as individuals.

Since my mum has been in Herries Lodge, she has been so happy, as are we as her family. The care which mum recieves is excellent. The staff are very kind and thoughtful to us and mum. We do not worry at all and feel she is safe there. The activities and entertainment are great and mum really enjoys it. She is clean and washed most of the time, the times where she has been left in her pj's is only because mum has insisted, she calls it her dovet day! The only issue I have is the smell of urine which I know cannot be helped but I wonder if the carpets could be washed on a regular basis professionally.

I had a very positive experience with this care home. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring toward the residents. It's clear that they take the time to get to know everyone and provide support with kindness and patience.

The facilities are clean, well-maintained, and create a comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike. Everything feels organised and thoughtfully managed, which really adds to the sense of reassurance when visiting.

Overall, it's a lovely place with a warm atmosphere. The team do a wonderful job of making residents feel safe, respected, and well cared for. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a supportive and pleasant environment for their loved ones.

This place is not how you would imagine a care home at all! Every worker/Carer goes above and beyond in everything they do. Their friendliness and welcoming attitude make you feel at ease. So much thought is put into place for each person and there preferences/best way to do things. It's a great piece of mind knowing my Nan is with them and getting the proper help and support she needs but also whilst valuing her independence and dare we say it stubbornness. In all seriousness I am and will be forever grateful for what each of them have done for my beautiful Nan, me and my family. Thank you all and keep being amazing! All my love

Adel Ben tammy Sarah and all the brilliant carers are absolutely amazing to my mom and all the other residents, all go above beyond. I looked at 5 care homes and Herrislodge is one I would recommend time after time , always spotlessly clean and smells lovely . I know my mom is safe and looked after and that means a lot to me when I have to go home after visiting my mom . Just to say Adel was made for that job and a big thank you

My grandmother has always refused to go into a care setting until she visited Herries Lodge. She has nothing but praise for the whole staff team, they go above and beyond. The love and care they give to each resident shines through. I cannot fault the place at all, it's a home from home environment with angels caring for your loved ones. We don't regret our decision and my grandmother now has a fulfilled, meaningful life.

Mum was a resident since October 2022. She died recently. I cannot thank everyone at the home enough for their care, support and friendship to Mum. It is an exceptional home. The staff, facilities, entertainment, food and cleanliness. She could not have had a better home. The staff were always kind and friendly towards me and the support they gave at the end of Mum's life will always be appreciated.

Sadly my mother in law passed away but the care, love and dignity she received in her last days will never be forgotten and the support given to the family was over and above at a very difficult time. I can never praise or thank them enough. Truly outstanding.

My close friend moved in recently and she has had nothing but good words about how comfortable and relaxed she now feels and that she should of made the move years ago the staff are always polite and respectful nothing is too much management are approachable and very professional would highly recommend Herries to anyone looking for care I know where I'm going to go when the time comes

Mum was in Herries Lodge for six years but sadly passed away two years ago, and throughout that time, the care and support from the staff was excellent. Now my sister in law's mother is a resident. Once again, I can only say things haven't changed. The staff are lovely, making sure everyone receives all the care, help and kindness they need. Carry on with the good work!

After caring for my wife for almost 3 years I had a stroke and was put in hospital for a while, my two children had to put her into Herries Lodge Care Home. When I left hospital, I visited her with my daughter and found my wife happy and quite settled in, which was a relief to me. Alzheimer's is a awful complaint but my wife was happy with the home and staff, all which are lovely. The rooms for each patient are just like a 1st class hotel, she enjoys the food in the care home and she has put on weight whilst there. She is very happy with her room and her care whilst she is in the care home - she is very happy with all the staff and care. All in all our family are quite happy with it. She enjoys the concerts with the singers and she sings along.

Since my dad has been here we have been really happy with how he has been helped to settle in and how wonderful the staff have been in ensuring this. All the family are happy with how he's settled in and how special they make it when my mum comes to visit on Sundays.

The food served is of high quality, freshly made at the premises and served hot and promptly. I would be happy to discuss any aspect of care provided.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending Herries Lodge and all the wonderful staff who work there.

In 2012 we were looking for a care home for my mother-in-law. After visiting several care homes, sadly, the norm of all these homes was to be greeted by the overwhelming stench of urine until we visited Herries Lodge where this was not the case and still is not today. My mother-in-law's every need was met at all times and she was very happy there. When it came to end-of-life care, the care she received as well as ourselves from the staff was outstanding. Last year we moved 2 more relatives into Herries Lodge. Many of the staff were still working there, all remembered fondly my mother-in-law and also ourselves. Herries Lodge retains staff, unlike other care homes that rely all too often on agency staff. It really feels like family. Our 2 relatives, 2 very different characters, with differing needs were treated as individuals, and always with respect. Any changes in care plan is always discussed with us. Herries Lodge is a shining example how care homes can and should be run.
