I'd just like to recommend Mill View Care Home to one and all, my mother has been a resident since November 2023 and in that time she has been cared for by all the staff and management there. My mother suffers from dementia and at times has struggled with this horrible condition, the staff have consistently supported and encouraged her throughout her time at Mill View with dignity and respect. My mother feels safe and comfortable in the home and with all the staff. The home arranges family days, day trips and entertainment for the residents on regularly basis with a strong sense of family involvement and support ensuring a strong community group. The home itself is very clean and well maintained, the food is excellent, and it is a credit to the fantastic management team that run the home to an extremely high standard.

From the minute I walked into Mill View Home, I knew it was the right place for my mother-in-law. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly, caring, and respectful.

Every member of staff speaks kindly to residents and treats them with dignity and compassion. The management team is excellent and always approachable, which gives our family great peace of mind.

All of the staff work hard to create a safe and comfortable environment, and we know my mother-in-law is in very good hands. I would highly recommend Mill View Home to anyone looking for quality care for a loved one.

Dad felt chest pains at 10.30am on Saturday. Typically stubborn as his generation are, he refused an ambulance. Mid-afternoon I got a call from Leigh explaining the situation & would I attend for my opinion. By the time I got there, she had convinced him to let her call an ambulance. Thankfully no heart problems & released from hospital just after midnight. Had Leigh not done what she did, I wouldn't have slept that night. Massive thanks Leigh. X Also staff who welcomed him back that night. Nothing too much for them. 5 star service!!

Mill View is providing a very comfortable, caring environment, well managed, with conscientious staff looking after my Mother who is a resident with Alzheimers/Dementia. The home is clean, bright, welcoming and well furnished. The kitchen provides excellent, freshly prepared, nourishing meals and baked treats. Medical needs are promptly attended to and therapists encourage wellbeing. There is a programme of activities which residents are encouraged to participate in, together with birthday celebrations and fundraising efforts. Visitors are welcomed and are considered as part of the Mill View family. My Mother says she is comfy and content and her demeanour has improved since moving in 5 months ago.

We have had to make a very difficult decision has a family to move our mum into a care facility, the amount of worry this has caused us was unbelievable. Fortunately for us, after viewing other care facilities, Mill View was highly recommend to us. We were invited down to Mill View to have a look round, we were made very welcome by the management and staff team. Due to me working in the Health and Social care sector for 40 years, I instantly knew that this was the right place for our mother has soon as I walked through the door. Mum has since moved in and has settled extremely well, I would like to compliment all the staff at Mill View on their outstanding care and empathy that they have shown towards my mum. There is always lots of staff presence who interact superbly with all the residents, I also witnessed whilst on a visit that all request from the residents were acted upon in a very timely manner. The home is like a home from home. Mum loves it, which gives us peace of mind.

Wow-what a welcome for our mum! From the very first enquiry phone call, the staff at Mill View were outstanding. They have turned an incredibly stressful time into a completely stress-free experience.

When you walk through the door, the sign says "Welcome to our home," and that's exactly how it feels-a home, a family. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and nothing is ever too much trouble when it comes to helping make a room feel personal and homely. The garden and the surrounding grounds are absolutely lovely too. Mum has settled in so well. The activities are fantastic, and seeing her join in has been wonderful. We weren't sure how she would adapt, as she is a very quiet lady, so watching her singing along with Ukulele Henry at the Christmas fayre was just amazing. We're sure she will enjoy many happy times here. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mum recently moved into Mill View and was very unsure and nervous after losing my dad back in January this year. They have gone above and beyond to help her settle into the home and she is really thriving. She is joining in on all activities and it is a real pleasure to visit her as she is so upbeat and is really enjoying the company and the staff are all amazing and friendly and really helpful. It has taken so much pressure off the rest of the family as my mum was getting so depressed and lonely and we were all worried she would go on a down hill spiral. Thank you to all the staff and management.

Mum is cared for with great sensitivity. I feel that her individuality is respected and valued. Mum is a very sociable person but dementia has impacted on her ability to communicate. Nevertheless she is always included in activities and made to feel a part of the Mill View family. There is always something going on to stimulate including lots of fun exercise activities such as tin can alley. Mum loves to walk and she really enjoys access to a lovely garden. The staff are friendly and I appreciate how they care for mum with humour, tenderness and respect.

I highly recommend Mill View.
My mum moved in when she couldn't manage any longer in her own home and I was increasingly struggling to look after her.
She was reluctant to accept any change, but agreed to try for 2 weeks in January.
I was worried she wouldn't settle after her being determined to remain independent, yet I was so wrong.
Mum started flower arranging, then painting in art class, singing and dancing, playing bingo, doing exercise and Tai Chi and celebrated her 96th birthday with the residents, staff and volunteers.

All the staff are exceptionally loving, kind and caring with the utmost professionalism, and provide a safe place where everyone is nurtured and supported to flourish.

Nan has resided at Mill View for a couple of months now; her quality of care is second to none. Staff are caring & compassionate & nothing is too much trouble. Nan is treated with dignity. There is a happy and friendly vibe & this complements the well kept surroundings. The home is well decorated & clean with a beautiful garden area. Nan's room is comfortable & made homely with her pictures on the wall. Nan was welcomed to the home with thoughtful gifts to help her settle in. Staff smile & are happy. Residents are occupied and entertained with various activities. Nan is shy in nature but staff have brought her out of her shell, included her & encouraged her & I see her joining in with activities that I would never have dreamed she would embrace! Mill View have helped Nan to achieve quality of life & it's heart warming to see how much love and care there is for residents at Mill View; staff put residents at the heart of what they do. Thank you Mill View for all that you do.

We can't recommend this care home highly enough. The care that the whole team of staff gave to my mother in law was excellent and especially the way they looked after her in her end of life care. She was very peaceful and the care she received was kind and attentive so we would very much recommend this home for a loved one. All the staff are friendly and make you feel like part of the family and welcome.
