I am really pleased with the way that the staff have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of my friend who has been living here for the past 2 years. Since the new manager has come in, she has actively sought to have regular in-house activities/themed events and trips out for the residents and is in the process of re-decorating everywhere to ensure the residents feel like it is their home which is really important. The garden is also a great place to either just sit and relax or if the weather is nice, activities also take place here too. All care staff and admin staff are approachable and friendly and have a great rapport with the residents and relatives. The food I have seen at lunchtime is all freshly cooked and looks lovely! My friend is now very content here and that is down to the hard work and dedication of all staff.

Wow, how wonderful Mill View Care Home is (so pleased we chose it for Mum) an excellent run care home. Clean, fresh and inviting with friendly and caring staff. The bedrooms are warm/cosy and that goes to the lounge/dining areas. The manageress who heads up such a first-class team, comes up with plenty of brilliant ideas to enrich the lives of the residents, inviting their family members to join in the fun. We feel Mum is in safe hands and well cared for which gives us peace of mind. Well done Mill View.

This care home is amazing. Friendly staff who made us welcome from the first day our mum went in. Nothing too much trouble. Just feels like our extended family got bigger, food, entertainment, trips out, theme nights and raffles, always something on. Credit to all the staff for their hard work. The atmosphere at Mill View is always warm and friendly.

I would like to pass my thanks on to all the staff at Mill View particularly the staff member in Finance, the manager, the assistant manager and another three members of staff for all their help, but in general all of the lovely staff who were pleasant, patient and kind. Even more so as Mum was really leaning towards nursing care; she really did decline within a few weeks.
I was so sad Mum couldn't have stayed longer at Mill View. I was looking forward to getting her out and about in the garden, having afternoon tea and even hoping she could go on an outing.
It is a beautiful place, and I was so pleased I got her in there.
It is homely, friendly, welcoming and comforting; like a home from home. Beautifully decorated. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, all very spacious and I managed to get some photos and ornaments around her that she was familiar with. The lounge and dining area is fabulous with great views of Bradford and beyond.

Thank you all so much for looking after her.

Since my father-in-law moved into Mill View in January 2024, we've noticed a marked positive change in his mood and overall well-being. He seems happy and contented and has settled in well. In addition to being consummate professionals, the staff at Mill View are kind, considerate, and always there to reassure you. My father-in-law has Alzheimer's and so is also in need of specialist care and he could not be in better hands.

All the facilities are excellent and the atmosphere pleasant. I cannot recommend Mill View highly enough. Many thanks to all the staff for taking care of him so well.

I couldn’t ask for any better care for Mum. The staff who look after Mum are just amazing, they’re so respectful of her wishes and caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. They’ve also got time for relatives making sure we’re kept well informed of everything that’s happening.
The effort they put in at Christmas with all the activities and entertainment was brilliant.

A big thank you to everyone.

Over the past eighteen months or more my wife and I have been visiting an elderly relative (lady) in Mill, View, Bradford.
From the outset, we noticed the cleanliness of the whole place. The attention to detail and care can be seen everywhere. The whole of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful to both the residents and visitors. It stands out a mile that the residents and staff (male or female) are one large happy family who all seem to enjoy their work or stay.
Not only do the residents feel secure, visitors can't help but feel happy that their relative/friend are in an establishment which is totally safe and secure.
It really is nice to see in this day and age young people on placement from college, where they will learn their future career on the job. The one I met today (a young lady) loves it already, just shows the integration and foresight that is on offer at this establishment.

All in all Mill View is an impressive care home all-round. A treasure in Yorkshire

I cannot express my gratitude to Mill View (Care Home) enough. Both my beloved grandparents moved into Mill View in March 2022. At first, I was so upset that my grandparents had to go into care; however, once I saw how settled, looked after and loved they were at Mill View, I realised that there is nowhere else I rather them be. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and I cannot thank them enough for how they have looked after my grandparents. It was only the other week when I was there that happy tears were brought to my eyes when I saw the love that the staff were giving to my grandma.
My grandad sadly passed away in February 2023. This was the most difficult time of my life, but Mill View was amazing, took so much time to console our family and make sure my grandma remained settled after the loss of her husband.
The home is welcoming and clean, with great facilities, and I believe undergoing renovations to make the home even better.
I look forward to every single visit.

Thank you, Mill View.

My Mum has been a resident at Mill View over the last 10 months now and I've generally found the Care home and staff all to be excellent. My Mum is really well looked after as she is constantly demanding a fresh cup of coffee all day long. The only issue I've found (although I understand that this situation is currently being addressed) is that items of new clothing and toiletries we bring in for her appear to soon go missing.

The care received is excellent. The staff are amazing and have been amazing during a difficult time due to management issues. However, I am not happy with the cleanliness of her room at times, food and stains often left on the carpet and surfaces. Dirty stained chair in her room (I have asked for it to be removed/replaced as not her stains). Clothing is a huge issue, sick of her clothes being worn by other residents and vice versa. I have addressed this numerous times. Also, constantly having to replace toiletries - no way she's used them up.

I have visited my mother-in-law at Mill View several times now. The staff seem to be very friendly and welcoming, although they are not always able to answer specific questions (perhaps because of a new shift). Sometimes (quite often) my mother-in-law's things seem to go missing, despite her having her name on almost everything. I am unable to comment on food and drink other than to say it seems to appear very regularly but it might be useful to have some kind of food diary to know how much she has actually eaten (she does seem to be losing weight). Her stay seems to have resulted in a few falls requiring a hospital visit. At least she is picked up and emergency services are alerted quickly.

My mother-in-law stayed at Mill View for two weeks respite while her house was rewired. The car and support she received was outstanding. The care staff and managers were friendly and responsive. My relative thrived on the company, provision of food and drink and snacks and took her medication (she doesn't always comply at home) and even enjoyed having a bath and her hair washed during her stay. Couldn't fault anything about her stay and would definitely recommend it.

What caring and kind people Jane and Helena are. Not just to the residents but to families and visitors. Bubbly energetic and efficient. Just what’s needed in a home where we leave our loved ones to be cared for and looked after. It has been my privilege to work with them to source a solution to my problem. Thank you ladies.

Our family decided to place mum at Mill View in June, following an illness when she could no longer live independently at home. When she first arrived, she needed a lot of attention to help adjust to her new surroundings but the care and patience shown by the staff was excellent and they helped her to settle in and join in with the other residents for the many regular events that are organised.
We were kept up to date with how she was doing and on our regular visits we would discuss how we'd found her and what we'd like them to do for mum. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we'd agree on adjustments to care plans specific to mum's needs.

Mum fell ill again in early December and spent a short time in hospital before returning on 'end of life' care. The staff were brilliant, allowing us to spend as much time as we wanted with mum, right until the end. They showed great respect and empathy for the family at a very difficult time. We're delighted that we chose Mill View. Thanks to all!

Both my mother and father have now been in Mill View for around 3 months.

The care and attention they have received is absolutely first-class and they have really really settled in.

Any worries we may have had, as you would with your elderly parents, were quickly dispelled, and we can allow sleep well for the first time for many a month knowing they are safe and well, and getting first-class care and attention.

Highly recommended.
