After 5 years of isolation since the death of my father, my mother was admitted to Holmpark in January 2018. In such a short period of time, my family and I have been totally overwhelmed by the care that has been provided for her.
We have seen my mother flourish more than we believed possible and the professional approach by all the staff has ensured she is happy, surrounded by people with caring hearts and opportunities we could only dream of her having.
The recent open day allowed the home to show it’s full potential and I was so happy my family were able to attend and experience the Holmpark ethos for themselves.
Every member of staff is committed to the positive care required. My Mum has Alzheimer’s and I live 120 miles away from her, the weight of anxiety that I had when she was isolated and at home has been lifted completely.
I cannot praise the team and it’s leadership enough.

The staff are so friendly and caring. I have visited every day, for the last year, but last month I missed a day because of the snow. My friend was so worried and upset that I had had an accident, but one of the staff phoned to see if I was alright. It is the little things that the staff do without thinking and makes the client relaxed and happy.

This home provides care in the broadest and fullest sense. The staff change very little and as such know residents extremely well and their needs, and it appears, become genuinely fond of them.
All staff are very approachable at all times. Dad led a very content life here, well fed, comfortable and safe. As his family, we could not have wished for more.

An amazing team of staff who go above and beyond job roles. The rooms are bright and spacious. Very welcoming and reassuring environment for both residents and relatives.

I was satisfied with the care provided for my father. He is 95 years of age and suffering with dementia so he did need regular attention, guidance and prompting. The staff were keen to do their best in a particularly demanding environment.

There always seemed adequate numbers of staff available particularly in the resident's lounge and communal areas. The general cleanliness of the building was good and the quality of the food and beverages perfectly acceptable. All in all good value for money.

From the moment my father arrived at this facility, I was impressed with the staff and the way they treated him and my family. They cared for him and always made us feel welcome. We were greeted warmly whenever we visited. They got to know my father very well and we were all sad when he had to leave the home. The staff there work extremely hard under sometimes difficult circumstances. They are a credit to your company.

The smell of urine is always in the room on every visit.
The bathroom is very dirty.
Bathroom tap is loose and needs tightening.
No activities (exercise).

My mother has been a resident at Holmpark for 6 years in which time her condition, vascular dementia, has deteriorated, but her care at Holmpark has been of the highest calibre. Nobody could fault the care, compassion and empathy displayed by every member of staff. One example; my mother suffered a seizure and was taken to the hospital, a member of staff always goes with her and waits until I can get to her. This last occasion I was 4 hours drive away and a carer went to relieve the person who had gone to the hospital, AFTER her shift had finished, waited until I arrived so mam wouldn't be alone.
