Anchor's Lightbowne Hall is located at the centre of the Moston community in Manchester. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 52 residents in single en suite rooms.

Lightbowne Hall is proud to have achieved silver Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation to be able to provide tailored support for veterans.

We as a family could not thank the home enough for everything they do and have done. The staff are amazing the home is lovely Mam has settled quicker than we could imagine.
Not something we wanted to do but things got really bed for Mam with falling. We can visit whenever we want we can go to bed knowing
Mam is safe and cared for.

Overall I think everything is good - one thing I think is that the bedroom doors should be locked when empty so other residents can't go in and take things from the room.
Also I don't know I anything can be done with the laundry to ensure the right clothes are returned to the right person - especially
knickers!
Sometimes you can smell urine in the corridors - think this is because of carpets in corridors. I have found all the staff to be hard working and attentive and the activities are very varied and good fun - keep the residents interacting with each other - keep it up!
As I only visit once a week as I'm just a friend and not family I can't comment on value for money. Think having a hairdresser on site is an excellent idea.
Obviously I can only review on my one visit a week but I have found everyone to be friendly and helpful when I'm there.

Friendliness begins when you walk through the door of the care home. All staff I have had the pleasure to meet I have found to be kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. The manager definitely got it correct with this care home.

My wife has been resident for the last 15 months, I visit every other day and find the staff obliging, also the interior warm and welcoming. Her room is very spacious, with everything that is needed for welfare.

I'm the daughter of one of the residents here. She is still getting used to the other residents, staff and environment. We as a family are very happy she is here. The staff and management are very professional, caring and eager to help. They keep us informed of any changes, appointments and how Mum
is coping. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. The food is nice and homemade. We know our mum is safe here.

Usually visit at different times of the day, aways find the home well maintained and staff are all friendly.
Mother always says the staff look after her well and she seems happy and always clean and well cared for.
Can't really ask for much more than I know my mother is being looked after well.

My sister has resided in Lightbowne Hall since 2023. I have been highly impressed with the care she and other residents are supported with. Staff are courteous, friendly and caring to both residents and their relatives. Time is provided for entertainment and encouragement is given to participate i.e.
afternoon teas. Rooms are adequate with being pretentious. Food and drink are of a high standard. All in all, I am very satisfied that my sister was accepted as a resident.

Every encounter with Lightbowne Hall staff leaves you feeling positive and sure that Mum is in safe hands. We are grateful for their understanding, consideration, cheerfulness and care. Without exception, from laundry to service staff, care professionals and managers, there is a sense of team culture
of sensitivity and genuine care. Staff took the time to understand Mum's likes, interests and history, they tuned into her cultural and religious needs with kindness and skill. The building is modern, spacious and pleasant to be in. Facilities and services are first class and Mum commented that it was like a nice hotel. Activities are frequent, innovative and proactively encouraged by cheerful and professional staff.

Every time I visit my mum, all staff and management are extremely helpful and friendly. If I ask any member of staff to help or get me anything for my mum, they do it straight away and answer any questions I have, or they find out the answers for me.

My mother moved into Lightbowne Hall at the end of May. It was the hardest decision I have ever made. My mam has dementia and was unable to care for herself.
Six weeks in my mam is a different person. The care she receives is wonderful, the staff care about the person and their happiness not just the
physical care. Every time I visit my mam is smiling and happy. There are activities, my mam gets involved in most of them.
They decorated her room, we bought the wallpaper. It is now truly her home.
If anyone finds themselves in the same position, I would strongly recommend Lightbowne Hall.

Due to the closure of previous care home, my sister moved to Lightbowne Hall. I visit regularly at various times and have always found her clean, tidy and well-dressed. Can't praise the staff enough! I have been contacted immediately if there have been any issues and I know I can speak to them likewise.
Her son lives in London and on each visit has returned home reassured his mum is getting the best possible care. Wished we moved her a year ago.

The staff treat her with the upmost dignity and like she is a member of their family.
I was very apprehensive about my mum living in 24-hour care but I needn't have worried.
She is in the best possible place.

I cannot visit my sister very often as I live 150 miles away, but I phone her regularly. I cannot praise the staff enough when I call, as they are so friendly and kind, and they bring her to the phone every time. I can hear them speaking to her, explaining who I am and helping her to sit nearer to the
phone. I know they must be busy, but it's never any trouble to fetch her so that we can have a chat. Well done, all those on the first floor.

I visit my sister once a week, and I always find her happy. The staff are amazing; they handle residents with the utmost care. I particularly enjoy the activities they provide for the residents. To me, they fulfil the need of most of the residents with outside activities, i.e. visits to the parks, canal
rides, gardening, shopping and seaside visits. Getting out of those walls makes my sister less stressed. She has always enjoyed "going out".
My only grip is the bedding; it needs renewing to make the room more pleasant. It is clean and tidy, but let one but the mix match coverings. I am so pleased she is in your care.

Lightbowne Hall in my experience is warm and welcoming, the staff are very friendly and caring. My dad has been there nearly a year now and sometimes he has been difficult but the ladies/gents have all met my dad's needs. They have trips out, days to the park/Blackpool and even boat trips are due next
month. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mum has been in the home for about 5 years. The home has always treated my mum really well. The manager is really nice and helpful and is good at her job. Most of the staff are good with my mum and some go the extra mile to help. Two members of staff, in particular, I can't speak highly enough of,
they are fantastic at their job, really good with residents and my mum. A big thank you to you both.
