Anchor's Lightbowne Hall is located at the centre of the Moston community in Manchester. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 52 residents in single en suite rooms.

Lightbowne Hall is proud to have achieved silver Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation to be able to provide tailored support for veterans.

The home provides comfortable and modern accommodation and benefits from private secure gardens. Residents have the benefit of a pub area to enjoy with others in the home.

Anchor's dedicated care team takes the time to get to know the individual and work with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure their care needs are continually met.

Lightbowne Hall provides on-going training to ensure their approach is best for customers living with dementia. The team of well-trained care staff build relationships and ensure all aspects of the service provided focus on individual and compassionate care.

My mum is very happy since moving into Lightbrowne Hall. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful and obviously care a lot about the resident's welfare. The rooms are excellent and the communal areas are very spacious and open. There is a good choice of food and activities. The pub and
the tea room are regularly used. The home is always very clean. My mum has been in numerous homes over the last few years and I would highly recommend Lightbowne Hall to anyone with a loved with who needs full-time care.

Lightbowne Hall provides a safe secure and family environment for its residents. Although the needs of each individual resident differ no one is excluded from events and occurrences within and outside of the home. I am very much assured by what I see that my relative receives excellent care and attention.
I have never been in a care home as well run as staff as this one.

My mam came here last year and has settled in very well. Very well looked after always clean and tidy. Would say more fluids after lunch as she always seems to be very thirsty when we come to see her after lunch.

I have found all the staff at Lightbowne Hall to be very approachable and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. Mam has settled in well. She is always clean and well cared for. I found the facilities here to be good also.

Very caring staff, welcoming for visitors. Residents are always clean and content. If we have any issues they have been resolved immediately. No complaints about how the home is organised. Whatever time of the day we visit we have always found the staff interacting with my mother-in-law which is important
to us as she suffers with dementia. We feel the care home meets her needs and ours!

When my dad was moved to Lightbowne Hall he looked relaxed straight away. I found that the warmth was in abundance from all of the staff who work there. The help that was rendered to dad was like they were looking after a member of their own family. Emotion was not held back when looking after my dad's
best interest and he was blessed to have them in his corner. I would highly recommend Lightbown Hall to anyone who were or have a relative that requires help to trust them and put them in safe hands.

I trust this place because my mum in law spent seven years in the home. Everyone can do each other's job so there is no need to worry. On the odd occasion, they had a slip-up but was rectified 10 fold.

I do worry about my brother's health and wellbeing all the time, but I know he's in the best place. They take very good care of him and keep us informed at all times. I know I can ring up anytime and they will help as best they can.

My wife is being well cared for by the staff, they are very friendly, and helpful in the way they organise things for her, and for us who are visiting whilst Covid 19 is still with us.

I found it hard personally to adapt to institutional life, but that's no reflection on the home. Overall, I felt that the permanent staff were kind, friendly, and loving to residents, some of whom were often distressed. I had concerns though about some of the agency staff who I felt didn't care about
the residents and sometimes shouted and finger-pointed at people. I assume lack of training led to this behaviour. I was aware that sometimes permanent staff felt there were not enough staff on duty, and that if they were feeling unhappy it affected everyone in the room. I think that Covid restrictions must have made a big difference because, without volunteers and visitors on the floor, some residents often said they felt bored and depressed.

The care staff and managers at Lightbowne Hall are all so wonderful, caring and compassionate towards the needs of my mother. They go above and beyond what we expected and all the family are incredibly grateful for the care they show. Everyone always has a smile to greet us even though I know how busy

My dad stayed at Lightbowne for emergency respite care. From the 1st contact with the manager to speaking to the receptionist and carers they were all very friendly, approachable and professional. This put my mind at ease at a very stressful time. They allow 1 face to face visit a week behind a screen
which really helped in these difficult covid times and also video calls. If staff were concerned about my dad they would contact me and always told me how he was. I could see from the video calls and face visits the excellent interaction the carers had with my dad. My dad has Alzheimer's so couldn't tell me much but always commented on the lovely food and lovely staff. Again helping ease my worry. I wouldn't hesitate again booking my dad in for respite or recommending this home.
It is hard to comment on cleanliness, facilities or rooms as due to covid did not see inside.

We are extremely happy with the care that our aunt is receiving at Lightbowne Hall care home in Moston, Manchester. She has been a resident for a number of years and is very happy there. She is always saying that she is well looked after and cared for. Our aunt loves the staff there and can't speak
