Lightbowne Hall

My mum has been a resident here for about six months. We visit quite regularly, and we are happy with the care and assistance she received. The staff we deal with have all been excellent, friendly and helpful and keep us informed of any issues my mum has.

I am very happy with Lightbowne Hall and the staff are very helpful, polite and nothing is too much for them to help you. Food is spot on, cleanliness is very good and laundry is very good with clean clothes all the time. Management is very helpful. I'm so happy for Mam and so are the family. Thank you.

Every encounter with Lightbowne Hall staff leaves you feeling positive and sure that Mum is in safe hands. We are grateful for their understanding, consideration, cheerfulness and care. Without exception, from laundry to service staff, care professionals and managers, there is a sense of team culture of sensitivity and genuine care. Staff took the time to understand Mum's likes, interests and history, they tuned into her cultural and religious needs with kindness and skill. The building is modern, spacious and pleasant to be in. Facilities and services are first class and Mum commented that it was like a nice hotel. Activities are frequent, innovative and proactively encouraged by cheerful and professional staff.

Every time I visit my mum, all staff and management are extremely helpful and friendly. If I ask any member of staff to help or get me anything for my mum, they do it straight away and answer any questions I have, or they find out the answers for me.

If anyone finds themselves in the same position, I would strongly recommend Lightbowne Hall.

Due to the closure of previous care home, my sister moved to Lightbowne Hall. I visit regularly at various times and have always found her clean, tidy and well-dressed. Can't praise the staff enough! I have been contacted immediately if there have been any issues and I know I can speak to them likewise. Her son lives in London and on each visit has returned home reassured his mum is getting the best possible care. Wished we moved her a year ago.

I cannot visit my sister very often as I live 150 miles away, but I phone her regularly. I cannot praise the staff enough when I call, as they are so friendly and kind, and they bring her to the phone every time. I can hear them speaking to her, explaining who I am and helping her to sit nearer to the phone. I know they must be busy, but it's never any trouble to fetch her so that we can have a chat. Well done, all those on the first floor.

My only grip is the bedding; it needs renewing to make the room more pleasant. It is clean and tidy, but let one but the mix match coverings. I am so pleased she is in your care.

Lightbowne Hall in my experience is warm and welcoming, the staff are very friendly and caring. My dad has been there nearly a year now and sometimes he has been difficult but the ladies/gents have all met my dad's needs. They have trips out, days to the park/Blackpool and even boat trips are due next month. Nothing is too much trouble.

My mum has been in the home for about 5 years. The home has always treated my mum really well. The manager is really nice and helpful and is good at her job. Most of the staff are good with my mum and some go the extra mile to help. Two members of staff, in particular, I can't speak highly enough of, they are fantastic at their job, really good with residents and my mum. A big thank you to you both.

My mum is very happy since moving into Lightbrowne Hall. The management and staff are very friendly and helpful and obviously care a lot about the resident's welfare. The rooms are excellent and the communal areas are very spacious and open. There is a good choice of food and activities. The pub and the tea room are regularly used. The home is always very clean. My mum has been in numerous homes over the last few years and I would highly recommend Lightbowne Hall to anyone with a loved with who needs full-time care.

Staff are friendly and responsive to requests.

Lightbowne Hall provides a safe secure and family environment for its residents. Although the needs of each individual resident differ no one is excluded from events and occurrences within and outside of the home. I am very much assured by what I see that my relative receives excellent care and attention. I have never been in a care home as well run as staff as this one.

Mum is well catered for and all staff work a person-centred approach, which is evident in the service provided.

My mam came here last year and has settled in very well. Very well looked after always clean and tidy. Would say more fluids after lunch as she always seems to be very thirsty when we come to see her after lunch.

I have found all the staff at Lightbowne Hall to be very approachable and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. Mam has settled in well. She is always clean and well cared for. I found the facilities here to be good also.

Very caring staff, welcoming for visitors. Residents are always clean and content. If we have any issues they have been resolved immediately. No complaints about how the home is organised. Whatever time of the day we visit we have always found the staff interacting with my mother-in-law which is important to us as she suffers with dementia. We feel the care home meets her needs and ours!
