All staff are amazing and can't do enough for my gran and for us also. The cleanliness is immaculate. My gran seems very happy here. I've seen her smile for the first time in a long time. I also love the fact she can go out and about if she fancies and she has things to look forward to.

My mum moved in this week. The experience of moving/ settling in has gone above and beyond what I expected. All the staff are warm, friendly, and down to earth.
Every member of staff has been so supportive not just to my mum but taking time to help me and my dad adjust to our new way of living.
The overall experience has been welcoming, supportive, and given me a sense of hope of spending quality time with my mum.

Our Mam joined Lightbowne Hall in April 2024 she never wanted to go into a Care Home but the decision was taken away from us by the Health Professionals at the Hospital. It took Mam a while to settle but she grew to love everyone in there. From the Manager and the Office staff ,Kitchen Staff,Cleaning
Staff,Maintenance,Laundry Staff and especially the Care Staff what a wonderful Home. They looked after her like she was there own .On her last few weeks the Care, attention and the Compassion shown to my Brother and I aswell as Mam was more than we could have imagined, you hear some not so good stories of Care Homes but Lightbowne Hall stands out exemplary as the best of the best.We wish to thank you all, everyone of you for making Mam' s last 19 Months the utmost best they could be and for taking the strain off the Family knowing she was safe, warm, clean and very well fed.We will remember your kindness forever.
Thank you Mary

Dad has only been in 1 week. Had an issue the first weekend. Dad was in the same clothes for 3 days (not the best start) after raising concern it was addressed and he has since been changed daily. Dad seem to be settling in quicker than we thought. The days out are just the tonic he needs and we are
kept up to date which is great and reassuring

From the first day that Mum joined Lightbowne Hall she was welcomed and listened to, by the caring and respectful staff. They went out of their way to help Mum adjust to life in a care home, encouraging her to mix with the residents and engage in the wide variety of activities on offer. The
facilities provided were excellent, with well appointed rooms, clean and comfortable communal areas and even an on-site Hair Salon and Pub, which all help residents to feel at home and part of a community. Throughout Mums stay she received first class support and care from the Staff, who ensured she was comfortable and able to maximise the many engagement opportunities. Even as Mum battled her dementia to the end the Team at Lightbowne remained empathetic, caring and above all respectful; they are a credit to the Care Providing community. A heartfelt thank you to all the Staff at Lightbowne for providing peace of mind for me, and our wider family, in caring for Mum when she most needed it.

I have always found the staff and all of the management to be kind, courteous and very helpful during the time my mother was settling into her new home. I have found the building to be very clean and mother enjoys the food however my mother has often said she feels lonely and does not feel she
really has anyone to talk to as most other residents do not seem to be able to communicate on the same level as my mother.

Overall I think everything is good - one thing I think is that the bedroom doors should be locked when empty so other residents can't go in and take things from the room.
Also I don't know I anything can be done with the laundry to ensure the right clothes are returned to the right person -
especially knickers!
Sometimes you can smell urine in the corridors - think this is because of carpets in corridors. I have found all the staff to be hard working and attentive and the activities are very varied and good fun - keep the residents interacting with each other - keep it up!
As I only visit once a week as I'm just a friend and not family I can't comment on value for money. Think having a hairdresser on site is an excellent idea.
Obviously I can only review on my one visit a week but I have found everyone to be friendly and helpful when I'm there.
