Arriving at Elizabeth Court you are always welcomed and greeted with such a warm hello. This continues throughout all the staff in their work. You can feel the atmosphere is a conducive place to work as a care giver - this rubs off on residents and their families and you can feel the work being done to embrace and create a supported environment for the staff. Any points of note are always dealt with urgency, respect and followed up promptly. The care support team always ensure you are as comfortable and supported throughout any visits to relatives and this is a huge comfort when attending. The EC team's holistic approach gives a supportive care offering that stretches beyond the resident, covering the wider family or visitors - again a huge plus.

The team brings a calm approach but continually strive and do deliver key care support for the needs of the individual in their care.

My mother, 92, came to Elizabeth Court in January, inituiallly for respite care. The home was recommended to my family by another family member and we have not been disappointed No longer feeling safe at home by a series of falls, mum soon began to talk of feeling very happy at Elizabeth Court. She has now decided to live there permanently. We are extremely impressed by the excellent standard of care, and are so grateful to all the staff for their help and support at such a difficult milestone in mum's life, and their ongoing professional expertise and reassurance. We commend mum's particular "key Worker" who always "goes that extra mile."

We've been visiting Elizabeth Court with the children from a Childcare company for around a year now, and it has become such a special part of our routine. The residents and children have formed some truly lovely bonds, and it's amazing to see the genuine joy our visits bring to everyone involved.

The staff are always so warm, welcoming and friendly, and they really make us feel valued every time we visit. It's heartwarming to see the residents' faces light up when the children run into the room, and the excitement is very much shared by the children too. They always look forward to coming and often go home talking excitedly to their parents about the residents and the activities they've done together.

Elizabeth Court has created such a caring and positive environment, and we feel very lucky to be able to visit regularly. The connections between the residents and children are so meaningful, and it's wonderful to see the happiness these intergenerational visits bring.

My Mum has been a resident for 9 months now and she is very happy and well cared for. Despite my fears that she would remain in her room on her own, she is always to be found in the communal lounge enjoying the company. There is always a smile at reception when I visit, the carers are all really kind and helpful whilst encouraging independence where applicable and the team leaders are always ready to listen and help. I have found the manager and deputy manager to be really approachable, supportive and happy to help when I have needed some advice. What attracted me to this particular care home (apart from the proximity to my home) was that despite having 59 rooms it has such a cozy feel. The floors have two dining rooms and lounges on each floor so that there are usually only about 10 residents sharing each communal space. I also love that each bedroom has a front door with a knocker on it to make it feel like your own little home. My Mum says the food is lovely!

My father has been living at Elizabeth Court for over three months now. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff are so kind, patient and considerate. They really do look after each resident so well. The home has enabled Dad to be the best version of himself possible. The home has a positive, friendly atmosphere, and all the staff are so approachable. We really couldn't ask for anything more. I hope the staff get recognised for their compassion and professionalism.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the management and staff at Elizabeth Court. Visiting a neighbour, I was so impressed with the level of caring and effort that goes into making sure the residents are happy. This is good news and bad news; good news because I am going home, bad news because I am leaving Elizabeth Court, which has provided me with excellent care for 6 weeks. I came here on 24th July after spending many weeks in Croydon University hospital. I had suffered from memory loss and confusion, which led to brain shunt surgery. At Elizabeth Court - I have been surrounded by caring, professional staff who have given me security and confidence, all with good humours. I have regained much of my strength through the activities and exercises and good nutritious food including well tenderised joints of meats. I have enjoyed many times in the garden. Thank you all for your kindness.

Mum has been at Elizabeth Court since August 2024. Firstly for respite and then as a permanent resident. Mum is not a generally sociable person but was encouraged to join in the activities, particularly the Friday craft class and the visit of the local toddlers on Tuesday. She enjoyed both immensely. Mum developed pneumonia in June 2025 and was admited to hosptial. Mum has now been moved to a nursing home due to her ill health. Elizabeth Court's treatment of many was really helpful.

My mother had become isolated where she was living, and benefited from the friendship offered by other residents. She was fortunate to attend a wonderful 101st birthday party which was happening within the first week of her arrival. She was welcomed by all her care staff who seemed genuinely to enjoy her quirkiness. Every effort was made promptly to make her room feel like her home. I had peace of mind for the first time in ages, knowing that she was safe at night whenever she got out of bed. My whole family are so grateful to the home for allowing my mother back there after being discharged from hospital on palliative care. If they had not been able and willing to do this, either she may have died in hospital or been sent somewhere that may have been difficult for the family to visit. We were all able to visit her and say goodbye-there were so many family members who came. We were given the welcome and the space for this very important and significant day.

I've been volunteering at Elizabeth Court for the past two years with my dog, Danny, and I can honestly say the staff are absolutely brilliant! Their care and dedication to the residents is clear in everything they do; they truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels happy and well looked after. Every visit is a joy; I always feel incredibly welcome. I also get to witness the wide range of engaging activities on offer and often catch the delicious aroma of the meals prepared by the chefs! (and get to try the very tasty homemade cupcakes). It's a wonderful place, and I'm so glad to be a part of it!

Our dear dad was at Elizabeth Court for just over 18 months before he sadly died this Christmas. A lovely home with a big welcome, we always felt like it was a big extended family. The staff always greeted you by name, with offering tea and biscuits and there was always a hug and comfort offered if needed. Dad had dementia and Parkinson's so was heavily reliant on the staff for every day living. They always treated him with respect and in turn he rewarded them with one of his smiles or a thumbs up. We as a family will be forever grateful for the care and love they showed to us. A big thank you.
