Elizabeth Court

Today I made an unannounced visit to an old friend who has been a resident at Elizabeth Court for almost three years. I was welcomed most warmly by the staff and joined her in the tea room' for elevensies and homemade cake - delicious. I met several residents who were delighted to greet my wee dog, Lady, and made a great fuss of her. The whole place was spotless and smell-less too. If I need to go into care I would like a home like this.

We came for a weeks respite care, following an operation on my shoulder. I am carer for my wife, who has Parkinson's. Our week was all we could possibly have hoped for. We were well fed and attentively cared for by staff who seemed interested in their work.

Elizabeth Court is excellent. The variety of activities is second to none and their care is superb.

I find the home very helpful and very caring.

Here on respite for a few weeks. Those requiring attention very well looked after. Everywhere comfortable and attractive. Staff very attentive when required. I would recommend Elizabeth Court to anyone needing good care.

The care my mother gets is of a high standard - she is well looked after by all the staff. I have a review with the home manager about every 2 months, this allows me to discuss any issues or concerns I have about my mum's care and needs.

All the staff are friendly and always ready to chat.

Mum has really come out of her shell since she started living at Elizabeth Court, the staff have gone out of their way to encourage her to mix with other residents and take part in outings etc. She loves the food, we’re so impressed we are moving my father-in-law in as well.

Very friendly staff, super atmosphere, my mum has really bloomed since she started staying here, she thoroughly enjoys herself. The food is excellent.

The staff are very caring and there is a wide variety of activities on offer. The food is of excellent quality and the home is clean, tidy and has a lovely garden. Recent decorations have made the living areas more interesting and there are now some pet birds on site. The number of trips out also seems to be increasing.

We are always made to feel welcome when we visit mum, whatever the time of day. Thank you.

I cannot express my gratitude and thanks for the wonderful staff who have looked after, cared and befriended my father in the years he has been at Elizabeth Court. Whenever I visited he always had a smile on his face, was well turned out, and treated with respect.

The Claremont staff cared for him in so many ways; from speaking, singing and dancing in Irish to making sure he was always happy, comfortable and well fed! Regularly, a particular member from Claremont would visit my father from the ground floor, I know my father enjoyed her company, as did I.

In the last weeks of my father's life, all the staff looked after my father in a happy, clean, comfortable environment, he died with dignity and respect.

From initial entry your staff could not have been more helpful and caring. My wife and I were even offered a cup of tea and biscuits during our visit - brilliant.

Not knowing what to expect, I have been most impressed with everything.

I have found the majority of staff caring and friendly. I think that a bit more understanding of non-sighted residents would improve matters greatly. Perhaps more training is required?.

I am always impressed by the friendly welcome in reception the happy atmosphere, the cleanliness of the facilities and residents. The helpfulness of staff (arranging flowers etc) and the refreshments offered.

I visit with a mutual friend every three week is to take Holy Communion to a resident. She always appears very well cared for and, though she is grieving, both the loss of her husband and her home, she is full of praise for the staff, care and facilities. I have been impressed by the staff and by the pleasant atmosphere.

The services provided for my aunt are very good indeed. I can see that the staff genuinely care for her and the facilities are very good. I am always contacted if something happens "beyond the norm".

Staff also were friendly and would come to your aid when needed except to two of them!!
