Mum has been at Elizabeth Court for just over a year. Whenever I visit, the staff are always welcoming and know who know who I am. I like that there are planned activities and outings that mum is encouraged to join in and we are invited to as well. I like the 'extended family' atmosphere. Most importantly
mum appears content and comfortable.

My husband who has Alzheimer's and dementia was discharged from the hospital having had pneumonia into Elizabeth Court, originally for two weeks. However, he was cared for so well and he was clearly happy and settled that we decided that this was a good place for him to be. All the carers are kind and
very caring and treat him as an individual. There are many activities and every effort is made to make sure that the residents are happy and content. I would thoroughly recommend the home to anyone who wants their loved one to be cared for as they would be in a loving homely environment.

My mother went to Elizabeth Court because she had dementia and was struggling to live at home after my dad died. The care home were fantastic. They really supported us as a family to get my mum installed and treated her with kindness and respect. My mum wasn't easy as the dementia had taken away her
social skills but the carers understood this and worked hard to understand her more. She had also got to the point where she didn't like washing, but they tackled this firmly and kindly and helped her to look presentable which we appreciated. Sadly my mum passed away unexpectedly; the care home dealt with this as well as we could have asked them to. I would recommend this care home to others.

My mother initially went for respite and will now continue to stay. Everyone without exception has been as kind and supportive to my mother and to me offering advice at this difficult time. Thank you. Elizabeth Court always looks inviting and has such a friendly atmosphere - the food always looks and
smells delicious. The activities programme is varied and interesting. The relief of knowing she is safe is so very reassuring. Thank you again.

We as a family have been very happy with the care that has been provided for our mother. Our mum has taken part in many activities singing, dancing, puzzles, planting beans, church services and watching films about D-Day. All the staff have been amazing keeping is informed with her daily routine. I
have been nearly every day and have got to know some of them very well and happy to ask questions and just talk about the day. The staff are always smiling and happy (these are mum's words and lovely food as well)

Always a welcoming smile when you arrive, and a nice bit of banter from the staff. They all interact well and are always cheerful. Mum seems happy and we don’t have any worries with the home. I would recommend it, maybe I’ll be there in a few year's time. Thanks guys.

The staff at Elizabeth Court are wonderful. They have consistently treated both my mum and my family with kindness, empathy and respect. They have encouraged my mum to build on her interests and to actively engage in these, in the home, which in turn has increased her confidence and sense of personal
achievement. I honestly don't know where we would have been without them!

After Covid my mother was diagnosed with vascular dementia, living at home no longer became sustainable. As an independent individual, the last thing my mother wanted was to leave her own home. After several attempts and subsequent escapes, she moved into Elizabeth Court. The staff made her feel safe
and cared for through a deep sense of compassion, professionalism and buckets of humour. When returning to Elizabeth Court from recent hospital visits my mother always felt she was returning home. Our family feel an enormous amount of gratitude to all the staff at Elizabeth Court.

Realising that on discharge from hospital your father will not be able to return home is a shock. You are placing him in the hands of the unknown as he will need a care home. It is a difficult time. Thankfully we found Elizabeth Court. Our fears are allayed by an excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable
team led by a formidable and very professional manager and deputy manager. My father is happy. He is well looked after and is building a really good rapport with the staff and management, and meeting other residents. To everyone at Elizabeth Court a very big thank you.

From my first phone call, I knew this was going to be the place for my mother-in-law. Extremely helpful, arranged an assessment later in the afternoon at the hospital and called later in the afternoon to confirm they would be able to meet all her needs. Every member of staff has been welcoming which
made my mother-in-law settle in very quickly. She has really enjoyed her 6 weeks at Elizabeth Court and made many friends. Physical and healthwise has greatly improved which has allowed her to return to her own home.

I strongly believe the care provided is outstanding. This is due to many factors including the excellent carers and support staff, the extra activities including arts and crafts and gardening club, the fantastic range of variety of food and drinks on offer every day. This care home is amazing, the resident
that I know is loving it here and is very happy.

My mum came to Elizabeth Court after a fall - she had spent two weeks in the hospital with a urine infection and needed 24-hour care when discharged. I used to work past Elizabeth Court and always got a lovely feeling from the residents in the garden, so they were the first place I called. One lady
answered the phone and couldn't have been more helpful. Two members of staff assessed Mum in hospital the following day, and my mum was transferred to the home the next day. The care she has received has been outstanding, and she settled very quickly. She is now a permanent resident.

We have found Elizabeth Court outstanding for its care and support for my mother, who has Alzheimer's/Dementia. Staff are very attentive and friendly whilst the management is in close contact and keeps me up to date with regard to my mother's well-being.
Perhaps more activities would stimulate more;
however, I am aware of my mother's condition. Overall, I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving. Thank you to them all at Elizabeth Court.

We are very happy and feel extremely lucky to have Mum at Elizabeth Court. The rooms and communal areas are lovely and the garden will be lovely in the summer. She is well cared for and we feel very relieved that she is now being looked after twenty-four hours every day. Our experience with her previous
care home left us frightened for her safety and wellbeing, so it's a huge relief for her to be where we know she is safe.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.624)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.624) out of 10 for Elizabeth Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.624 for Elizabeth Court is calculated as follows: ( (195 Excellents x 5) + (89 Goods x 4) + (11 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 295 Ratings = 4.624
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Elizabeth Court is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 59 registered maximum number of service users is 11.8, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
