Many thanks for looking after our Mum so beautifully for the five weeks she was at Thameside for respite care. It was lovely seeing her interact with other residents and taking part in the activities as well. She was very worried about going into a Carehome but the staff made her feel very welcome and were so helpful. Her words to us were "everyone is so nice here". We felt very safe knowing that she was in excellent hands and saw that she was treated with kindness and warmth. The staff were also very friendly and kind to us when we visited as well. If she needs further respite or indeed full time care we would not hesitate to use Thameside again.

My father joined the Thameside family in May 2025. From the start he was treated so well. Regular weekly checks by the doctor to keep on top of his meds requirements and niggles. Management team were easy to meet in case of any worries we had. Dad enjoyed the activities and throughout his stay. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. After he passed away, the way the team saluted his departure was very moving. The staff came to his funeral service which was really touching and meant a lot to the family. A great choice of care home for dad and highly recommend to anyone.

My mum passed away peacefully this week at Thameside having been a resident there for 15 months. It was the best decision we ever made for her to move there. She was incredibly well cared for and not just in a practical sense, the staff seemed to genuinely care for her. The last week with her was incredibly moving.Throughout the staff not only cared for my mum with love and compassion, they also cared for me and my son. They have become family and we will miss them terribly. When a parent has dementia, especially if you live a distance from each other as we did before my mum moved to Thameside, you can start to view them as a problem to be solved and not see the person. Knowing how amazingly well she was being cared for meant I could let go of the responsibility of solving her daily care needs and focus on our relationship and just simply enjoy her company for the first time in ages.We will be forever grateful to the staff for enabling us to do that.

Our Mum was a resident at Thameside for a year and a half. It was absolutely the best decision that we made for her :) The staff were absolutely wonderful with her and always had the time to talk to us too. Whenever we came for a visit (and these were unannounced, at different times of the week and day), there was always laughter and cheerfulness when we walked through the door and a feeling of love and compassion for all the residents.
Mum was so well cared for by all the staff and they really took the time to get to know the residents.

Just a brilliant experience from start to finish - Thameside will always have a special place in our memories.

My father moved into Thameside Care Home in December, followed by my mother in January, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the care they both receive.
All of the staff are absolutely amazing. From the front desk team to the care workers, deputy manager, and manager, everyone treats us with genuine kindness and warmth. We are always made to feel so welcome whenever we visit my mum and dad. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and any questions we have about our parents' care are always answered patiently and helpfully.
We visited the care home on Christmas Day, and the experience was truly delightful. The food was delicious, and the staff served us beautifully, even offering a choice of two meals. It made what could have been a difficult day feel special and comforting.

I feel incredibly relieved and grateful that I found Thameside Care Home for my parents. Knowing they are cared for with such compassion and respect gives our whole family great peace of mind.

My mother was a resident at Thameside for just over a year before she passed away peacefully in October 2025. During her time there, she was wonderfully cared for and truly happy. The kindness, compassion, and warmth shown by every member of the Thameside team was remarkable. The home always had a cheerful, positive atmosphere - such a credit to the management team, whose professionalism and empathy clearly shine through in their staff. I was especially touched by the exceptional care my mother received in her final days. She was treated with such dignity, respect, and genuine affection. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at Thameside for the outstanding care and kindness you gave her and for the comfort you brought my wife and I.

My mother-in-law lived at Thameside for over a year until she passed away peacefully in her sleep in late September. We honestly couldn't have wished for better care. The whole atmosphere at Thameside is warm, joyful, and truly focused on making residents feel special. There's a real sense of happiness throughout the home. Each day is thoughtfully structured - with morning and afternoon activities, mealtimes accompanied by music, the treats trolley making its rounds, and relaxed time spent with others in the lounges. This made a huge difference for my mother-in-law, who had lived alone and secretly longed for more company. The warmth and fun at Thameside were exactly what she needed. The manager, deputy, and all staff were also amazing with us as a family - always kind, open, and proactive. It was a pleasure to visit and feel the love in the home. A heartfelt thank you to everyone there.

I looked at seven care homes in the area before choosing one for my mother, and three immediately stood out - all owned by this care home group. The difference was the staff. There was a genuine sense of camaraderie, with the team laughing and working well together, which created a really welcoming atmosphere.
Mum moved into Thameside three months ago, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. She has settled in well, despite relocating all the way from Manchester, and it's been wonderful to see her happy and comfortable. For me, being able to visit more often is a huge bonus, and every time I come the staff are warm, friendly, and make me feel very welcome.

Thameside really feels like "home" rather than just "a home", and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

My father died peacefully in his sleep at the care home this week. He has been a resident for almost 8 years. My mother also died and the same care home, having been there for 2 years. In all the years I have been visiting, I can't fault the place. The staff go the extra mile to give a personal touch to all the care they give. Strangely, I am going to miss the place as they have also looked after me so well.

My mother has been resident at the Thameside for 18 months. From the moment we stepped into Thameside and every visit and event since, the place has exuded a calm and happy atmosphere. My mother says she feels happy, contented and 'at home' there. I cannot praise the managers and care givers enough. It's been such a weight off our minds to know she's safe and being looked after with dignity.

My Mother has been a resident at Thameside for over 2 years.

Thameside is a lovely care home with lovely caring staff. The residents are treated with care and compassion as well as lots of good humour and many, many smiles. Both the Manager and Assistant Manager have an open door policy and without fail address any issues raised with them, however small. Mums behaviour was challenging but was always treated with kindness and good humour. Over the last two and a bit years, I have never seen any resident be coerced or treated with disrespect. The home has super, helpful receptionists and lovely admin staff, all of whom are welcoming. Thameside has a happy atmosphere and is light and bright. Well done Thameside. Thank you all for your hard work, care and humanity.

My Dad was a resident at Thameside for seven years and was part of their family - they loved him. Amazing care given throughout (including COVID). The whole team really do care about their residents and provide great personal care, food, activities in a clean and safe environment. My mind was always at rest knowing Dad was in the best place/care. They initially took time to find out about Dad's interests, football, so installed a goalpost in the garden for him. From early stage to advanced Alzheimer's Dementia he was cared for extremely well. The home also has a good service from the local doctor and has relevant connections with a hairdresser, optician, chiropodist etc. I would highly recommend Thameside and thank the manager, deputy manager and the team for making the past seven years comfortable and happy for Dad.

A wonderful kind and caring ethos runs throughout Thameside. The rooms are spotlessly clean with en-suite facilities and the food is excellent, plentiful and nutritious. The care is second to none, every care assistant provides time, hugs and companionship on top of their normal duties with cheerful smiles too. Indeed, every member of staff here cares deeply for the residents' well-being, and nothing is too much trouble. Entertainment, quizzes and activities take place all the time and everyone is invited and helped to join in. We're so relieved to have found this care home for my husband's care. For the first time in years, we can relax knowing he is safe and in excellent hands.

My mother was very well cared for at Thameside. Every member of staff, be it the manager, team leaders, carers, housekeepers or cleaners, treated her with care and respect. During the last days of her life, she and our family were shown so much love, and she was afforded dignity and care to the highest level. Above all, she was happy at Thameside. The wonderful staff there made her time there enjoyable and even fun!

My mum was a resident of Thameside from August 2020 until she passed away in June 2024, I have to say we have been very happy with Mum's care at the home and more importantly she was happy.
The staff have always been friendly and caring, if we ever had any concerns the staff were quick to respond.
Mum went in during covid so very hard saying goodbye at the door and it was well over a year before we saw her room but the staff were excellent in working within the rules so that we saw Mum whether being behind a screen, in the garden, even through an intercom with me in the garden and mum inside.
The home is very clean, nice and bright and lots going on from themed days to various entertainment plus arts and crafts. Food good and always a choice in the dining room.
Showing how much they care, in mum's last days staff who were even on leave came in to say goodbye.

I would definitely recommend the home.
