I found Oakleigh Care Home by recommendation when my elderly mother needed 24-hour assistance. The management team helped to make the transition from house to care home as easy as possible and the care staff are reactive and attentive to all my mother's needs. My family and I are made welcome when visiting and we feel at ease in the surroundings and when using the care home facilities. The food is freshly prepared and of a good standard and there is variety. The rooms are clean and odour free. Every effort is made to keep the residents entertained and amused and there is a very pleasant garden. My mother may not understand her situation anymore, but we as a family rest assured that she is in safe hands at Oakleigh.

I am extremely grateful for the continued care my mother receives from the wonderful staff at Oakleigh. At the end of this month, she will have been a resident for two years, and during this time I have witnessed a level of care, and affection toward my mother that means so much to me, my Father, and all of Joan's family. Thank you. Kevin.

Our late dad, a WW2 veteran, passed away in his own bed at Oakleigh aged 104. He spent the last three years of his life at Oakleigh and he was very settled, happy and felt safe. We think going to Oakleigh gave him a new lease of life. The kindness, care, and friendship from the carers and staff was wonderful and he loved the activities and entertainment. We really appreciate the support given to dad and my husband and I in those last few days. We will always be grateful that he spent the final chapter of his long life at Oakleigh Care Home. It is a special place.

My Mum's experience staying here to date has been overwhelmingly positive. Moving into reidential care at the start of 2025 was a big move but the team have really helped her to settle in. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the building is kept clean and nothing is too much trouble.

My Aunt has been at Oakleigh a month now and has settled in well with the other residents on the Tree tops floor .
The staff are always friendly and smiling and look after my Aunt very well and always pleased to see us too when we visit.
She is very much enjoying the company of her friends there and activities which she does on a daily basis .
She is excited for Christmas festivities at Oakleigh .

Well done to all the staff and Management at Oakleigh and thank you !

My experience with Oakleigh has been a revelation. We had to put my mother in care in May and I was extremely anxious as to how this would affect her. I have seen the stories.
She has her wits about her and is a tough cookie but her memory isn't great.
Well, she has never been happier. She praises the staff virtually every time I speak to her. On my visits, I can see how the staff are inter acting with other residents as well as the general warmth of the place. Staff are accommodating and respectful in all circumstances.
Day trips, events and a real effort to make the place a pleasant environment.
She doesn't want to leave and loves the staff.

This is a big relief and it's changed her life. She's very happy . Happy mum , happy son.

My mother has been at Oakleigh, Godstone since late May 25' and has made us promise her that we will not move her out!!! I think that says alot. Its great for family/ friends to leave reviews but the biggest compliment Oakleigh could have is for one of their own residents giving a full 5 stars to them!!

Well done Oakleigh and thank you

As a family, we are truly grateful for the kindness, patience and dedication shown every day from the staff at Oakleigh to our dear Mum. Mum has been a very happy resident at Oakleigh for over 18 months. After a recent fall and subsequent hospital stay the staff at Oakleigh have worked so hard, going above and beyond in order to help rehabilitate Mum. Words can't express how much comfort It brings us knowing Mum is in such safe and caring hands.

The Oakleigh team have been very supportive throughout our journey when Dad needed to move to full time resident care. The communication has been excellent and we were guided every step, making a difficult time less challenging.

Dad and our family have been made very welcome at Oakleigh. It has a lovely, calm atmosphere and a selection of planned activities to keep him busy.

My father has been a resident at Oakleigh Care Home in Godstone for over two years, and I honestly can't praise the team highly enough. From the very beginning, they've shown not just professionalism, but genuine warmth and compassion that makes all the difference.

When I visit, I often find my father asleep, but I always see the team checking in on him, making sure he's comfortable, well-fed, and given the opportunity to join in with activities - even though he rarely can now. That level of care and attention reassures us that he is treated with dignity and respect at every stage.

It's never easy to watch a loved one decline, but knowing he is surrounded by such kindness and patience brings us enormous comfort. As a family, we are deeply grateful to everyone at Oakleigh. It truly is a special place, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the team there.

Since my mum moved into Oakleigh she has gone from strength to strength. She eats well and the chef is always around to speak to residents to make sure their dietary needs are met. She has gained weight which is marvellous .Yes it was daunting at first, but all the staff are lovely. Mum is partially sighted as well as having dementia, which can be very difficult to settle anywhere. The staff always include her in all activities such as singing and wine tasting. She loved it. They have managed to get her knitting again and the icing on the cake was her trip out with them. She hasn't stopped telling us all about it, and the ice cream she had. Any issues the Managers are always available to assist. I can't thank all the staff enough for making her feel part of such a lovely family.

My Dad has been a resident in Oakleigh for two and half weeks. His words today to describe the staff and care were 'top notch.' It's been an emotional adjustment for all of us, but especially my mum and my dad.
The staff, from the excellent leadership team, to the daily care givers and all of the other team members have been kindhearted, supportive, flexible and generally 'top notch.'
Dad's room is on the ground floor with a view out to the garden. One of the reasons that it works for him with his mobility and stability issues, is that it is modern, all on one level and has a wet room with grab rails and shower seat. Dad has been given aids such as an alarm mat on the floor and a grab rail on the bed, and his buzzer is always nearby.
There is a GP who visits weekly, hairdresser and a chiropodist.

As a family, we are hugely grateful to everyone at Oakleigh for their care, and keeping dad safe and would happily recommend to others.

From the 1st day we felt this was a place where Mum would be safe and well cared for. Staff were friendly and responsive and always dealt with any questions or issues with courtesy and understanding. We asked if Mum could move floors and do more activities and this was granted to us. The home was always clean and Mum was well fed and all her needs catered for. I would have no hesitation recommending Oakleigh to others.

The first few weeks for the carer who has to put their relative into a care home is a tough, emotional rollercoaster. The staff at Oakleigh were excellent at "holding-my-hand" during those initial weeks.

When I visit my mum, the staff make me feel very welcome and at ease. I really feel they know and meet my mum's individual needs.

Oakleigh in my opinion is a great Care Hime it is welcoming, homely and spotlessly clean. Whenever I visit my mum has care staff with her or in sight, and I have no worries regarding her health and wellbeing living here. Food always looks delicious, staff are dedicated.

My dad had been at Oakleigh from July 2023 until November 2024 where he sadly passed away but he was so happy at Oakleigh and the staff loved him. My dad absolutely loved the staff and I can only say that the respect they showed him made me proud. They treated him so well and he loved it there.

It seems sad to me that I will not be going there every week now but I can say that they deserve a very high ranking with care homes as experience has shown that they are not all the same and Oakleigh must be rated high.
