I can't speak highly enough about this home. All the staff are cheerful and kind.

My husband is very settled there and when the time comes can't think of a happier place to be.

I would like to say how my mother in law enjoyed her stay for the week she was with Oakleigh. All the staff on the top floor were absolutely amazing, when my mother in law first came she was very anxious, and the team really settled her down and made her stay very enjoyable, I can not thank everyone enough.

I stayed for respite, it was my first time in a care home and was very anxious. The staff put me at ease and made my stay enjoyable.

I felt the staff needed more training on how to support someone who is physically disabled. The food could be improved as it was lukewarm. The staff were very helpful.

Reply from Lukasz Bogusz, Home Manager at Oakleigh

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review for Oakleigh, we are glad that the staff made your stay enjoyable. We have shared your comments about support for people with physical disabilities, with the coaches providing training in this area, and also have held additional training in the home last week, which should improve our service when it comes to meal times.

My mother has been in Oakleigh House for over four years and I have nothing but praise for the staff.

They are kind and considerate not only to my mother but also family members, obviously with dementia you need a lot of patience and the staff have that and more.

We had to put my mum into Oakleigh in Godstone Surrey. She was so distressed, anxious and disorientated. Now in the 7 months since she went to live there, she is happy, settled and contented which is something I never thought she would be again. She is cared for, looked after and above all, happy. She has had a lovely Christmas there with staff genuinely care.

Oakleigh care home has given my mother a home, a family environment and dedicated care from a well-managed staff.

Christmas was wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the staff have a way of caring for individuals needs. I never thought I could leave my mother in other people's care.

My husband has been resident in Oakleigh Care Home for over two years and has been generally content and well cared for.
I have bought a house only ten minutes walk away and can now visit him on a daily basis so have come to know the staff and organisational structures fairly well.

I have always found the rooms clean and odourless and staff most helpful and friendly despite poor organisational management. The decor needs improving!

Oakleigh is fantastic! My Mum has been a resident for over 2 years and she has been well cared for every day. The carers are kind, thoughtful and respectful. They have Mum's best interests at heart and she is much better living as she does. Their communication with my Dad and myself is thorough. The home is clean, the residents are always dressed, clean and presentable and there is no bad smell that I have experienced in other facilities. The rooms are bright, cheery and well kept. Our rating is 5-star!

Oakleigh is a purpose built care home, it is very nice and bright, has three floors and no bad aromas. Some of the rooms need a bit of updating ie. carpets etc. but most importantly, the staff are engaging and very helpful.

The food is good and freshly cooked in the kitchen on the ground floor, where there is also an industrial laundry room, residents washing is done regularly. There is a full-time activities co-ordiantor who gives residents the opportunity to do something every day. There is also a very pleasant garden area and the home has it's own car park.

Four years ago I made a positive choice in selecting a ‘not for profit’ setting for my mother.

Her time at Oakleigh has been characterised by warmth and support for my mother and myself from staff from all areas of the care home, from the handyman, kitchen and housekeeping staff to care staff and Managers.

Staff have always been willing to go 'the extra mile' and I recommend this setting on the basis of the care and concern shown to residents.
