Anchor’s Oakleigh is located at the heart of Godstone, close to green spaces. The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 51 residents in single en suite rooms and continues to welcome new residents.

The dedicated care team takes the time to get to know the individual and work with them, and their loved ones, to create detailed care plans to ensure their care needs are continually met.

Oakleigh provides on-going training to ensure their approach is best for residents living with dementia. They work hard to get to know customers, build relationships and ensure all aspects of the services provided are focused on individual and compassionate care.

My dad was 102 in January and had a great day thanks to the care of the staff of Treetops, who decorated the dining room for the family to use in the afternoon and couldn't do enough for us. Dad ate a fresh mango for the first time, with help and had so much fun. Dad is very happy here. The staff are
lovely, caring, and kind, and he looks at them as friends. He enjoys the activities and says the food is very good. Dad was living independently until he was 101 when a series of falls meant he couldn't cope in his home any more. It is such a relief to the family that he is so well cared for and happy at Oakleigh.

Having looked after my sister (with dementia) for the past three years, I wanted some respite and reluctantly looked around care homes. I chose Oakleigh for the feeling I got looking around, of being a warm and caring environment - not clinical and regimented. The staff appeared relaxed and friendly.
Each floor had an open, homely feel. My sister stayed for ten nights, and an individual care plan was used, keeping to her general routine. She came away just as happy as she went in. So back home, it was like she'd never been away, and no settling back in was needed. I look forward to my next respite - with absolutely no worry about my sister.

I came to Oakleigh because I was unable to care for myself at home due to very bad falls ending up with a brain bleed. After several months in various hospitals, I arrived for residential care. I have been very happy in Oakleigh because I feel safe and secure.

My mother moved from her own home into Oakleigh when she could no longer be left at home alone. She was very agitated and unhappy. Having looked after her myself for a number of years, I was very nervous about the transition and whether Mum would settle. The staff at Oakleigh Care Home were supportive
of myself and have been amazing with my mother. She is so calm, appears happy whenever I take her out and is well looked after. The atmosphere is in the home is happy; everyone greets you with a smile - staff and residents alike! This is also one of the few homes I have visited which doesn’t have an unpleasant smell. It is open plan, fresh, and clean. As someone in a previous review commented, the residents wander from room to room and unit to unit, but no one seems to mind. This is excellent for my mother as she is very mobile, and is not one to want to sit in a circle watching television for very long. The staff also do their best to entertain, plus they have visiting performers.

It was difficult for us to move Mum into a care home, but the staff at Oakleigh were wonderful. Unfortunately, Mum's health deteriorated after a couple of months, but I was able to stay every day and night with her in her last week. The support and care that my brother also received was wonderful, which
made Mum's passing so much easier for us all. Again, I can't say "thank you" enough to everyone at Oakleigh and have no hesitation in recommending them. They are all worth a million dollars!

My cousin recently moved into Oakleigh after suffering from a bad fall at home.
I must say, everyone is so helpful and friendly, and she is doing very well at the moment.
I have since visited her in the garden, which they are currently doing up. It looks very lovely and has a homely feel to it.
She
has made lots of new friends, which is lovely to hear as she is quite a nervous character.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this home and the staff.

My sister and I have lived together for many years, and I've always supported her, but the time came for her to need 24/7 care. I knew the home as we know the managers family having lived in the village for 40 years. I am so happy that my sister has been able to stay here and feels at home still. I
cannot recommend the home enough for their amazing support and care over the last few months, and the professionalism which they have shown with circumstances around COVID-19; myself and my sister feel very safe and protected. My sister has especially enjoyed making new friendships there, and I feel she has seen this as a positive move in life now.

My brother and I were very hesitant to move our mother into care full time. Oakleigh made the whole process a calm and smooth transition for my mother, who was diagnosed with dementia a few years back. The staff are very helpful, friendly and always have time for any questions I have. I love receiving
regular updates on the activities my mother has been doing, and I can see that she is involved and active at Oakleigh. My mother has made lots of friends, and it's great to see her interacting with others, which is something she could not do at home. I feel reassured that she is safe and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend Oakleigh to others.

My aunt moved in for respite two weeks ago for a one month stay due to her house having a gas fault. I must say the staff are incredibly helpful and polite and seem genuinely happy to be there. The facilities are great I have spoken to my aunt on the phone and via the iPad. She looks like she has had
a lovely Christmas as I have been updated with pictures, which has put my mind at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and I’m sure my aunt will be back at Oakleigh in the future. 5-star!

Just want to say a big thank you for moving in my grandad so smoothly, the staff are so friendly at this care home. Big shout out to the lady on reception for taking the time to explain to me how things work, I am very grateful to her and it’s put my mind at ease with everything that is going on with
COVID-19, that there are the right measures in place. Activities are also really good even got a FaceTime call from my grandad the other day! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home.

My father-in-law moved into the Oakleigh 6 months ago during a very difficult time during the first lockdown.


All the staff are amazing and work so hard. They care so much for him and the other residents, and we are really impressed by the level of care he receives, and also by the varied activities

they have every day. The home is spotless, and he received excellent meals.


We are so very grateful to all of the staff, especially with the added challenges 2020 has brought. It is such a comfort to know he is safe and has settled in so well. Thank you all.


We would have no hesitation in recommending Oakleigh to others.

My mother-in-law has been at Oakleigh for six months now, she was moved from a previous care home and we were worried how she would settle.
The staff are so friendly and caring, they made her feel so welcome, she is so happy and well looked after, we are delighted.
During Coronavirus, the staff have
been regularly keeping in touch with us and arranged Facetime chats with Mum (who is 93) who thinks it is wonderful.

My dad came in for respite. He's been here for 3 months. The staff are totally caring and considerate and very accommodating. We looked at loads of homes before choosing Oakleigh. It was better than all the others, in every aspect.
He will now be staying permanently.

My mother lives at Oakleigh care home, she has a great group of care staff that look after her and an excellent carer that’s her nominated Keyworker! This system in place has been great for my mother and for the family, there’s such a strong network of staff that understand each of their roles to ensure
you get the best care and the right answers!
A big worry when my mother got dementia was what if she needs full time care and goes in a home, but once we picked Oakleigh, all the worries went away! I couldn’t be happier and my mother seems happy, she has new friends and enjoys being social and busy each day!

My father moved into Oakleigh in February 2019 he was so depressed before the move in. The staff and management were so kind, friendly and supportive. They spent so much time getting to know him, his likes and dislikes and lifted his spirits. My dad is so much happier, he is allowing staff to support

From the moment I picked this home for my aunt, everything ran so smoothly, from the fabulous show around I received, warm welcome front of house to the assessment and smooth transaction of my aunt moving in. I must say it’s so refreshing to see such a lovely young group of staff, everyone is so happy
