"Since my mother-in-law joined Manor Court care home two months ago, we've been consistently impressed by the truly excellent person-centred care she receives. From the very first day, the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure her comfort and happiness, making what could have been a difficult transition
incredibly smooth. It's clear they take the time to understand her unique personality and preferences, which means a lot to us as a family. The dedication to person-centred care is evident in every interaction. The whole team actively listens to her needs, respects her choices, and always treats her with the utmost dignity and compassion. Whether it's her daily routine, meal preferences, or engaging, everything is tailored to her individual well-being. This personalised approach has truly made her feel valued and at home, which is exactly what we hoped for. Knowing that she is in such capable and caring hands has given our entire family immense peace of mind. Highly recommend!

My mother moved into Manor court care home Nov 2025, after a hospital discharge, when moving in she was very frail. However, I been absolutely astounded by the exceptional quality of care she has received since her arrival. The staff's dedication, compassion, and professionalism have completely won
me over.
I been particularly impressed by the genuine warmth and attentiveness shown to my mother. I have witnessed firsthand how the team goes above and beyond to meet her needs and ensure her comfort. This personalised approach has provided me with a great sense of peace, knowing she's in such capable hands. I feel entirely comfortable with her care, and know she couldn't possibly receive better treatment anywhere else. The manager is very approachable, and always available, and shows such compassion and empathy, and his team are truly remarkable. My mum passed away sadly on 22 November at Nelson Lodge. The care and love my mum was given in her last few days was above and beyond I cannot thank everyone at Nelson Lodge enough. Mum moved into the care home in September 2025 was well looked after by the staff who catered for all her needs.

My wife sadly passed away in Elderwood care home this year after 6 years in their care, I have nothing but praise for the way my wife was cared for by the staff of Elderwood during her time at the home. My wife was suffering from dymensia so needed some special help and she received this in spades from
the staff of Elderwood. If I ever need to go into a care home I would like to think that I would be cared for in Elderwood. Thank you to all staff at Elderwood. My wife was always kept clean and tidy, the food was good quality , both her clothes and room was always clean and tidy.

Since my father-in-law has been at Ferendune Court care home Faringdon - I have been very pleased with the care he has received. I visit at random times regularly and every time I have been happy with the care and support received to my father-in-law and to us. The house keeping and food is exemplary.

My uncle came to live at Thomas Henshaw Court in 2022, he has the best facilities at the home with own kitchen, bathroom and bedroom/sitting room, the care team are excellent and provide around the clock care to him. Management team are visible in the home and always make themselves available when needed.

Our Mam joined Lightbowne Hall in April 2024 she never wanted to go into a Care Home but the decision was taken away from us by the Health Professionals at the Hospital.It took Mam a while to settle but she grew to love everyone in there.From the Manager and the Office staff ,Kitchen Staff,Cleaning
Staff,Maintenance,Laundry Staff and especially the Care Staff what a wonderful Home.They looked after her like she was there own .On her last few weeks the Care,attention and the Compassion shown to my Brother and I aswell as Mam was more than we could have imagined,you hear some not so good stories of Care Homes but Lightbowne Hall stands out exemplary as the best of the best.We wish to thank you all, everyone of you for making Mam' s last 19 Months the utmost best they could be and for taking the strain off the Family knowing she was safe,warm,clean and very well fed.We will remember your kindness forever.

My mum is so very well looked after at Orchard gardens. The care team here are amazing headed by Sabrina and Tiago .. who are very hands on in what's going on. I spent Christmas dinner with my mum at Halcyon Court. The staff were amazing and really took the time to ensure every resident was included. They did this with warmth, care and empathy.

I have been visiting my auntie at Millbeck Care Home and I have never seen her looking so happy and content in a long time she has told me that staff are fantastic and treat her with dignity and respect at all times and could not praise them enough. Food is generally good, occasionally bland.
Wheelchair users not self propelling reports significant and frequent.
Desk not manned all the time, especially on weekends.
Food service at mealtimes is excellent, with no waiting.
Accommodation is fine. I'm more than happy with my room.
It would be
a positive move to give each of the smokers the code for the front door. IT would alleviate the problem caused by the desk being unmanned, especially at weekends. Only a maximum of 6 would be involved.
