My nan is always happy when I come to visit, shes very well looked after. Staff are always friendly and always there to help if we have any questions. Home is always clean and tidy. I have been to a few homes but by far Buckingham Lodge is the best and feel my nan is very safe here. Would definitely recommend Buckingham Lodge!

I recently lost my Mother who resided here and had been here for many years, her end of life care was full of respect and I felt that they cared as much as I did about her. I was welcomed into the home at any time of the day and night and was always checked on to see if I was okay whilst there. I would highly recommend the home, staff and management to anyone looking for a home for a loved one in this area.

Manager and staff went out of their way to hp me locatey friend's room. Each person stopped what they were doing to talk to me in a friendly and accommodating way.
The care home was beautifully decorated and airy.
My friend was very happy to be there, even thought it was for respite

He told me that the food was excellent and the staff were kind and so helpful. 5 stars

My mum has been at Buckingham Lodge for a few months now and I am so pleased with the care being provided. Mum has dementia so visits can be difficult with her telling me she has no one to talk to and nothing to do. However, photos on display at the home and photos/videos on social media show me she has friends and is involved with the many activities provided. It's so reassuring to see these.

Mum's health is closely monitored, updates provided regularly and I can visit at any time. Mum looks so well and much better than when she arrived. I would highly recommend this care facility. The management and staff are outstanding

1- majority of the weekends that I'm at the care home there is no activities for the residence they are just sitting there doing nothing
2-the building looks very tired needs redecorating throughout
3-had to wait 2 months for a new toilet seat to be fitted in Mum's room
4-had to wait 2 weeks for a new telly to be put in Mum's room came in today PAT is out of date and no remote control to operate the Tv
5-The garden is unsafe for residents there are trip hazards on the main patio area there are cigarette butts on the grass and walk areas
6- Had a new kitchen fitted looks like it hasn't been gone in years
7- Staff spend too mush time on there hand held instead of talking to the residents

8-in the coffee shop there is a blind that has been broken for 3 years

Buckingham Lodge was the perfect place for Mum to be over the last 2 years. We had no idea at first that their staff were so caring when faced with some of the biggest challenges that anyone could face. Mum was looked after so well and they protected her dignity throughout her time there. We thank you so much for your care and service to Mum, I can't recommend you enough.

We couldn't be happier with the care my mother-in-law receives here. The staff treat her like their own family, with so much dignity and kindness. It's a huge relief to know she is safe, happy, and genuinely loved. Thank you for making her feel so at home for the last 6 years!

Mum has been in Buckingham Lodge care home for just over 6 years. Staff go above and beyond to make life as easy as possible for her. She is bed bound and has had quite a few hospital admissions over the years , with the home adapting to her changing needs.

As her daughter, I have the reassurance that she is in a safe and caring environment, surrounded by well trained carers. One of the main strengths of this home is the communication. I am kept informed of any changes or concerns and when times have been hard, I am grateful to the compassion and empathy the staff show me and my family.

Throughout mums stay she was cared for and spoken to with respect. She was clean, well dressed and had really happy times. She enjoyed the dancing and entertainment and seemed to love the carers. As a family we witnessed Unbelievable care and empathy during a difficult time later in her Alzheimer's journey. Mum was given choice until she no longer could and treated with dignity and gentleness until she passed. This was an exact fit for her even though we didn't realise it at the start. The food was excellent with fresh fruit and nutritious meals. Her birthday cake was stunning. They provided special events during Christmas, Valentine's Day , Halloween etc and communication was brilliant.

Mum has been at Buckingham Lodge for approximately 3 years, doesn't time fly when your having fun!! She has been looked after with care and affection over that entire period. Not an easy lady to deal with either. Dementia is a horrid disease taking Mum away from us slowly but surely. The team have coped with all sorts of issues over that time but always managed these situations with proffessionalism. I can fully recommend the home for your loved one.

We visited our friend and once again it was good to see how happy and well looked after she is at Buckingham Lodge. This Care Home is excellent, it is always very clean and has a welcoming ambience. The Staff are so friendly and certainly very caring. We always read the menu and it certainly appears well balanced and tempting. There are many activities organised by the staff for the residents and by looking at the photos these are well attended and enjoyed. We would, and do, recommend this Care Home.

My mother has been staying at Buckingham Lodge since February and my family and I are very happy with the care she receives. All the staff are really friendly and supportive, and her room and en-suite are always immaculate. Although Mum has advanced dementia, the staff still find ways to help her engage, and are very respectful of her. We are so grateful for everything they do.

Mum came into Buckingham Lodge on the 2 nd June of this year. She has a beautiful room with an en-suite bathroom which is always kept very clean at all times. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and it is always a pleasure to come in and chat to them. There is always a varied menu on offer and some lovely sweet treats as well. If ever mum needs to see a doctor, this is dealt with very promptly. The staff always phone me if they have any concerns regarding mums health which puts my mind at rest totally. Mum sees more people in a day than she ever did living on her own. She is safe and very well cared for by the wonderful caring team.

I am so happy that I chose Buckingham Lodge.

High standard care delivered with kindness, compassion and respect. My mum has been a resident for a number of years and they have sensitively adapted to her deteriorating condition which has helped not only her transition but ours as a family.
Unfortunately mum does not join in the activities we see happening with us residents but they seem to be having as much fun as she used to and it is a joy to see.

Thank you from us all.

Hello!

My name is Simon, and I am the Home Manager at Buckingham Lodge.

Having worked across all of the different care sectors, I believe I have gained a good understanding of the dilemmas faced by those in our care and also an appreciation of how daunting it must be to move from the family home into residential care. The thought that I am in a privileged position to be able to influence and have a positive impact on people’s lives is very motivating and rewarding for me. If we can put the individual at the centre of all that we do, we can ensure that our residents are fully involved in all of our decision-making processes, enabling us to deliver care and support that is as individual as they are.

I am also passionate about supporting our staff to develop and to achieve to the best of their ability. If we have a happy and engaged staff team, it follows that we should have happy, well-cared-for residents and a happy home.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Abbey Gallagher
Abbey GallagherJob Title:DeputyJoined: 2019

Hello,

My name is Abbey Gallagher, and I am the Deputy Manager at Buckingham Lodge care home.

My care journey started in 2019, and I started working in the community as a domiciliary carer, where I was supporting people in their own homes. I then progressed to supervisor and care coordinator. However, I then wanted to widen my knowledge and experience and started my journey with Anchor at Buckingham Lodge in December 2019 as a care assistant. Within 6 months, I progressed to a Team leader and then, in September 2023, became deputy manager.

I have a passion for person-centred care and ensuring that all of our residents are able to be supported in a way in which they are at the heart of all the support we offer them. My favourite time of year at Buckingham Lodge is the Christmas period, when we personally centre all our Christmas presents from the home to the residents and get them gifts that are meaningful or person-centred to them. This has been a tradition that I started as a team leader during Covid lockdown in 2020 and continued ever since!

Away from work, I am married and have a one-year-old daughter who keeps me busy! I also enjoy spending any time where possible in sunnier climates and by the sea!

Laya Korambath
Laya KorambathJob Title:AdministratorJoined: 2021

Hi, I am Laya, and I have been with Anchor for the past five years. I began my career with the organisation as a Receptionist at Nelson Lodge, Cambs. I later moved to Buckingham Lodge, Aylesbury, where I progressed to the position of Home Administrator.

I have always been passionate about meeting people and supporting them to the best of my ability. I have also had the opportunity to work alongside the Home Manager and Deputy Manager, which has helped me further develop my skills and understanding of the home’s operations.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband. I enjoy going outdoors, walking, and running.
