I suffer from dementia and have been a resident for over 10 years. Throughout my life here, I have nothing but praise for all levels of staff and the service they provide. Over the years, changes in care home resignations have resulted in a considerable increases in workloads. This needs a review on
staffing levels across all disciplines as it does impact on staff health and absintism and work achievement. Augusta is a multinational happy home which does need to maintain its high reputation.
Reply from Magda Zajac, Home Manager at Augusta CourtThankyou for your comments which are duly noted. It is an honour and a privilege to support you with your care needs at Augusta Court. Over the past decade there have been changes not only with staff but also with the implementation of digital systems to support our care staff so that they are able to provide compassionate, person-centred care and meaningful engagement throughout the day. We thank you again for your kind comments and continued trust in our team.

So grateful to the staff and management for looking after my father from October 25 up to his up to his hospital stay in Feb.
He settled nicely and thrived on the attention and whilst he slept in the afternoons a lot, he joined in activities in things he would never been able to do at home, getting
the best from the final months of his life. Thank you everyone. And loved the food!

Our relative was in Augusta Court for about 7 months before recently passing away. We are not local but were able to visit her recently for a few days. We could see that the staff were kind, attentive and caring, happy to make adjustments as required as the situation changed and dealing appropriately
with all the residents and their varying needs. I found their care and compassion towards the end of life to be excellent.
The care home itself is clean, bright and welcoming. We were there around Easter and there were lovely decorations. We also saw the team running activities for all those who wanted to be involved and noted the security around access very thorough. We had a meal one lunchtime at the home and it was very tasty.

Always a warm welcome at Augusta Court. The Home Manager and her team are courteous, efficient and above all friendly. My mother has been a resident at the home for two years and, although her Alzheimer's is progressing, states that she is very happy there. As a family we are able to relax in the knowledge
that our mother's needs are being met.

I am very happy with the care my mum has received at the care home. The staff are excellent. The home has always got lots of activities on for for keeping the residents occupied. After viewing many homes I was very lucky to find this wonderful home. I would fully recommend this home for your loved ones.

Mum had an enjoyable stay at Augusta Court. She was well treated with respect at all times. Only there for six weeks of rehabilitation, but the staff made it an enjoyable and worthwhile episode in her short stay.

I visited Augusta Court back in November and was extremely impressed on every level. My mother went in for 3 weeks in July/August for respite whilst I went on holiday. I felt very at ease whilst I was away. Mum seemed so relaxed and contented when I visited her on my return. I wish for my mother to
be a permanent resident and awaiting to hear about funding. I found Augusta Court second to none and I've worked in plenty over the last 40 years before retiring.

My Nan joined your lovely care home almost 2 years ago now. Your staff helped us as a family through a difficult transition and we are all so happy with the care and support given. I'm always seeing pictures of my Nan with a smile on her face and dancing at every opportunity. The food looks amazing
and there is always an event to celebrate.
Thank you everyone

My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's early in 2020 and last August (2024) her Alzheimer's became sufficiently severe that she needed professional care. She moved into Augusta Court in August 2024 - initially for two weeks' respite care - but she settled in so well that in discussion with our children
we arranged for her residence to become permanent.
I normally visit my wife almost every day and I never cease to be amazed by the care and patience that the staff provide to all the residents.
Well done Augusta Court, and many thanks to all the staff.

My mother has now been with Augusta Court for a little over 2.5 years. Her care and best interests are continually at the forefront of the staff and carers. You just get that safe and secure feeling when entering the premises. Always met with a smile, normally with an offer for a cuppa at the same time.
And most importantly Mum is home, safe and very happy.
Recent events with the Council and funding support have brought out further exceptional support from the Home with staff bending over backwards to provide continuing care for Mum. This Home should be used as the exemplar for all homes, it is nothing short of outstanding in its care, upkeep and general desire to do well in everything the staff and Home set their sites on.
Thank You Augusta Court.

The home is very well run and my 93 year old mother's well being has dramatically improved since she moved to the home nearly four years ago. The food is very good and the chef has a good manner with residents. Particularly reassuring is the frequency of visits of a doctor to the home and the organisation
of all medical matters. The staff are very good and there is a varied programme of activities.

Dad went into the precious care of Augusta Court in August 2023, when his health had declined to a point that he could no longer stay in the excellent care of my brother and his wife. It was a massive step for Dad, who found moving from my brother's home into care a very difficult step in his life.
However, the transition was made so much easier with the advice and wisdom of the wonderful manager and her excellent team and at all times I felt Dad's dignity and wellbeing were respected. Dad settled shortly after and I couldn't have wished more for the 20 months that Dad lived at Augusta Court. This beautifully kept home became a real home for Dad, as it did for me and my family. I can't express how grateful I am for the kindness, consideration, devotion and pure humanity that the manager and her team showed. Augusta Court was such a happy place to visit. Thank you to you all for making Dad's last months very special. We were so lucky to have found you.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.795)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.795) out of 10 for Augusta Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.795 for Augusta Court is calculated as follows: ( (375 Excellents x 5) + (74 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 459 Ratings = 4.795
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Augusta Court is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
