I have been extremely pleased with the care that my sister has received at Augusta Court. She seemed happy from the moment she arrived. I am kept well informed about her general health and well-being with regular review meetings where all aspects of her care are discussed. Any agreements reached are actioned swiftly. In the current difficult situation, I have felt reassured that she is well protected. Many thanks to you all.

Mum has received excellent care at Augusta Court. It is well managed, and the staff are without exception, caring, friendly and helpful. Mum has a great sense of humour, and it is great that she can enjoy a laugh with them.
The atmosphere is noticeably happy and positive, and the premises are clean and tidy.

Mum is treated with respect and the staff respond to her as a person and not just a resident.

The staff have supported the family very well in the various challenges we faced relocating my father into a care home. They have provided us with clear information and advice and are understanding and accessible when we visit. The care team treat my father with respect and considerable patience, and this has helped him to settle into the new routine. As he is in the early stages of dementia, one thing that would improve his well- being would be to have some activities for the more mentally capable residents.

My mum has been in Augusta Court since December 2019.

The whole experience has been exceptional. The facilities are excellent and modern. The approach to care is extremely professional and heartwarmingly genuine. The management and staff are truly wonderful, friendly and caring individuals. Visitors are made to feel part of the community and always welcomed with a big smile. A big thank you to all of you.

My sister and I chose Augusta Court as the best place for our brother, mainly because of its lively atmosphere. Since he moved in, May 2017, we've seen that Augusta Courts' high-quality carers also give clever care and personal respect to all residents. Although we know that his relative youth and active health, as well as his particular rare type of dementia, means they have to be inventive in the ways they deal with him, we consider that they have lived up to our high expectations and we hope he will have many more years of life, in what is now genuinely his home. We are so grateful when we make our twice-weekly visits, to see him happy and still largely his dear old self.

(We'd like to add that, their manager having left just before the Covid 19 emergency, the deputy manager and administrator have done a fantastic job in making decisions that have kept, thus far, both residents and staff well and happy. This is quite an achievement and we hope the company will recognise it as such).

My father has been in Augusta Court for several years and as someone who works in health and social care, it was hard to realise that he needed to go into a care home. This was mainly because care homes vary widely in their standards. However, Augusta Court has provided a home for my Dad and my Mum, sister and rest of the family have been reassured by the standards and the very caring staff. This includes catering and dining room support, care, cleaning/laundry, maintenance and management - hope I haven't missed anyone as you all play a huge part in the home's facilities but also in all your interactions with the residents. Hopefully, your partnership with the local nursery will start again soon as this too, is an important interaction for all - both young and older, as well as we visitors! I would like to thank you all for all you do especially at this difficult time when we can't be with Dad or see each and every one of you. Your regular communications are helping. Stay safe and Thank you.

My mother was taken to Augusta Court from hospital on the day of the Lockdown and we haven't been able to see her in person since, but the care and consideration to trying to make our lives both here at home without my mother and for my mother in the home has been exceptional. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see the actual care home in action yet but hope to when we are able to visit in person.

My dear Mum has been a resident of Augusta Court for three years and I have the utmost trust in the staff who provide wonderful compassionate care for her. In the current lockdown circumstances, though I miss visiting her, I have peace of mind about her welfare and wellbeing for which I am so very thankful.

There is an extremely friendly atmosphere at Augusta Court: at every level, staff know, respect and care for residents very well. It is noticeable how well they also get on and work together. They often go above and beyond the call of duty: I was surprised and impressed when, on my mother's birthday, staff gave her a large framed and illustrated map of the town where she had lived almost all her life that they had made and signed. The quality of the relationships that Augusta Court fosters ensures that my mother feels safe and loved. We couldn't have found a better place for her in her final years.

The rooms have ensuite facilities and a kitchen, and residents are encouraged to make them feel like home. This is also a big bonus for someone used to her independence.

Augusta Court has looked after my mother so well. She is as happy as we have seen her for a long time. The care is good and understanding of her ways. The staff are good at keeping us informed, and they were very good at dealing with her visit to the hospital and subsequent 2-weeks of isolation.

My mother's stayed here for just under two years. I am very happy with the standard care Augusta Court staff give. As the building is purpose made for the care it makes everything a lot easier. There are two garden areas at the home and parks nearby, so although the indoor common areas are very well looked after you can get out into nature, which makes visiting easier. Staff are very professional and do activities every day, but more importantly, very kind, show love and respect to all the residents.

All the staff at Augusta Court have managed to make the extremely difficult circumstances of the lock-down much more than just bearable for the residents. My mother suffered a heart attack earlier in the month, spent one night in the hospital and then returned to Augusta Court to recuperate. Because she might have contracted coronavirus in the hospital, she had to stay in her room 24/7 for a fortnight. The staff managed this with great compassion and professionalism. She is now through her quarantine and back among fellow residents. We cannot praise her carers enough.

From the moment we first considered Augusta Court for my father’s care, I have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff have always been helpful and kind - and extremely patient. They were sensitive towards us in the early transition days for my father, and I always left knowing he was in good hands.

It must be so difficult for the whole team to cope during this pandemic, but I know they are all working together to look after all residents as well as possible.

Thank you for all you do.

My brother and I found all the staff to be very caring and attentive towards my mother who unfortunately died whilst in their care. We always felt they had time to talk to us, explain what was going on. They proactively called in additional medical help when required. They were sympathetic and patient. The food was sensible. Simple food, comfort food, perfect for the population in here. Thank you so much, Augusta for all you did.

My husband did not like the care home at first, now after three years, it is his home. The care people are his friends and he is theirs. I would not like to have to put him elsewhere.

Outings appear to be a problem, with only one outing a month in a minibus with just just one wheelchair space, this is unsatisfactory. It would also be good if residents could spend more time outside, particularly in the summer. The lift has been a real problem for residents on the first floor, unable to access the ground floor.
